We had previously parked our property acquisition(!) activity after some insipid viewings. An extended break and an epiphany later, we did embark on one viewing.
Had a bit of surprise when Kane, who was our neighbour while at a previous employer, was at the door for conducting the viewing. From there, it looked like it was ordained. Oakwood and Kane had us nimbly side-stepping potential banana skins to land us the property. Effective communication and forthrightness seem to be the norm from this realtor.

Extremely unprofessional. I was scheduled to move into my property on June 6, but the date has been repeatedly postponed. Despite providing all requested documents promptly, they ignored my emails for days. They were fully aware that my current lease is ending, leaving me at risk of homelessness but they still seemed unwilling to work with me. On top of that my agent Abby appeared uninterested in my case, making the entire interaction feel unprofessional and awkward, as if she didnt want to deal with me. To make matters worse, they refused to return my holding deposit - the money i desperately need right now, given that i dont have a place to stay. Overall, it was a terrible experience, avoid at all cost.

My experience with Oakwood Estates has been disappointing, contrary to the many positive Google reviews, which I suspect are written by their marketing team.
The estate manager, Charlie Aldridge, acted very unprofessionally during our departure after a one-year stay. They are attempting to withhold our deposit by providing unreasonable repair quotations.
It is expected that there will be some wear and tear after a year of occupancy, but Charlie Aldridge seems unable to understand this basic principle. She appears to be trying to retain the entire deposit for questionable reasons.

I had a mixed experience with Oakwood Estates. Initially, they were helpful in finding a place for me, and I stayed in a property managed by them for 15 months. For the first 12 months, my monthly rent was £1850.
However, I was surprised and disappointed when Oakwood Estates increased the rent to £2015 without any clear justification. Consequently, I decided to vacate the property.
After issuing my notice to leave, I noticed that Oakwood Estates advertised the same property for £1975.
Additionally, throughout my tenancy, there was no maintenance. Upon vacating the property, I was issued an abnormal quotation for rectification that far exceeded the value of my holding deposit, which I found unreasonable.
This was my experience with Oakwood Estates. I hope this review helps others make informed decisions.

I've been searching for a place for a few months. I've dealth with a lot of agencies and for me Oakwood stood compared to the rest. Firstly they had more homes that were worthy of a viewing compared to others, they also took the time to remember to see if i was still looking and would email me or call me when more suitable options showed up. No one else did that except one, but even that was only once. They were also the only ones to give me a fact sheet about the home when i arrived which was very helpful when comparying other viewings. I rented a house from Oakwood Estate in Langley for nearly 3 years. They charged me(the tenant) £450 for check-in inventory from a third party company for an unfurnished property. The check-in report was very clean with no major faults but I had provided tons of comments and pictures stating that the inventory clerk didn't do their job properly. The same inventory company during checkout, reported the same damages against me which I had mentioned during check-in and they wanted to claim £1139 from me. I raised a dispute with DPS, provided the evidence and they dismissed all the claims. Oakwood estate manager Charlie was very unfair and biased during the whole process.

Amazing experience, Sarah help us to book a viewing appointment upon some cancellation as viewing slots were completely booked, then she help every step on the way until I moved in the rented property. I was looking to rent a property. Due to my income being low until my employment is sorted when I move from this area I was told if I had a guarantor it wouldn't be a problem to rent this property. My income covers the rent and living money but they want it to be 44k rather than 34k. I arranged sorting out a guarantor and phoned Ryan back feeling excited to be told the landlord doesn't want a guarantor. I'm not too sure why I ran around sorting this based on incorrect information. He even said his manager had said about the guarantor. I have wasted 3 days in looking for a property whilst chasing this one . Was promised call backs at specific times when he had checked information or spoken to his manager. Each time I had to call multiple times and he was either on the phone or out the office. It is very unfair to give incorrect information especially when I explained the seriousness of my situation and knew I need to move ASAP. I feel I have had my time wasted.

We wanted to view a house...but viewings were already scheduled and we were 25 minutes away. The Estate Agent - Domininc - agreed to wait for us and once we were there, did not rush us at all. After looking in the area for months on end we came across Miss Chantelle and explained our circumstances and budget and type of house we wanted. Since we were based in London she was kind and considerate enough to bulk book on weekends so we can view properties on the same day.
We saw a house that was slightly over our budget, miss Chantelle helped us put our offer forward and in this extremely competitive market helped us negotiate with the vendor. Result? We got our offer accepted on the same day as we viewed the property.

I have mostly dealt with Lena (Jones) after the initial valuation from Josh. She has been professional and courteous, folliwing up any queries we have had and feeding back any comments from prospective buyers.
Oakwood's have shown the property to many more potential buyers than I would have thought was possible at this time of year. It can only be from their marketing strategies and committment to sell.
Josh not only valued the house for us, but wrote a letter of evaluation for inheritance tax purposes, even though we had not committed to sell. He even followed up with a couple of phone calls to check all was ok before we agreed to go with Oakwood's.
All in all, there is a helpful team of staff and committment to selling property, as well as doing so in a professional manner, is the forefront of their ethos. I used Oakwood's to sell my recently deceased mum's house. When I am ready to sell my own property, I wi be using them again.

Buying and selling property is never easy or stress free but having Oakwood estates onboard made life so much easier with the great communication and responsiveness by keeping us updated on progress and liaising efficiently between everyone involved.
It was so refreshing dealing with an estate agent that was so proactive, reliable and professional from the beginning to the end.

Poor service and professionalism once the tenants moved in. Do not use this estate agent if you want a hassle free tenancy as a landlord. Was promised change of service (with notice) before the tenancy started however once the tenancy started we then got told that it can only be changed once the tenancy has finished.

He is quite brilliant and knowledgeable about letting properties so we felt very confident and safe with him. I had heard of Oakwoods from their other branches so thought I would give them an opportunity with selling my property in Langley. It had been on with another agent previously and I couldn't understand why it had'nt sold. I met with Josh who was very knowledgeable and straight talking which I liked. He confirmed that the price was correct however discussed a number of changes he would make if given the opportunity to sell. They were certainly effective as he had a buyer nearly straight after he had started viewings. Very impressive set up and the team in Langley are easy to work with. Got to give them 10 out of 10.
