If I could give lower I would.
Recently rented a property from them, moved out earlier and allowed them to over viewings on property whilst living in property.
The house we had was furnished and the washing machine broke during our stay, the landlord couldn't be bothered to order a new one so informed us to purchase one and reduce it from the rent, when we moved out they deducted this money from our deposit which we are still waiting to have returned. They have clue about communicating between departments. I will definitely avoid in future. Thanks Peter alan

Very mixed experience at Peter Alan Blackwood, it was an incredibly slow process and we received our official moving confirmation email 2 days before we were suppose to move in! We didn’t feel like a priority and we weren’t kept in the loop with regards to our application, we had to ring every other day to gain any sort of information. When documents were requested we would send them almost straight away and then were asked for the same documents days later (even though they had already been sent). It didn’t seem very organised.
The staff seemed happy at Peter Alan Blackwood, they spoke very calmly and polite over the phone.

While we did not use Peter Alan estate agents to purchase, we had multiple viewings with them and also did our mortgage application through their mortgage advisor. Staff were always extremely helpful with viewings and any queries we had but the 5 stars is mostly towards the mortgage advisor Samuel Cox. Sam has been an absolute god sent throughout the entire buying process, he did not hesitate to do everything within his power to help us and it was great to know that we always had someone on our side we could rely on. Any queries or issues we had (and there was a lot), Sam would be the first person I would go to for advice and he always treated my emails as a priority; we were never left in the dark or waiting around for a response and he truly went above and beyond to solve each and every problem we had. I would whole heartedly recommend Sam to anyone looking to apply for a mortgage or seeking mortgage advice because his service is unmatched and we are forever grateful we had such an outstanding advisor and we would not have made it to this point without him. Thank you Sam.

Everything ran smoothly until I'd signed the contract! Then they started ignoring emails, signed me up to pay for water, electricity and gas 2 weeks before I became responsible for paying (which still hasn't been resolved) and haven't made repairs I reported 3 months ago. Meaning for the entire tenancy so far, half of my taps haven't worked (quite unhygienic) and my shower has a massive leak.
All in all, they've wasted a lot of my time and caused a lot of stress.

Don't bother. Kept removing my house for sale even after contacting them 3 times.
My house supposedly was on the market with them for over a year and I still cannot see any proof of it. Absolutely ???? would never use this company. Even all the photos of my home were blurred and awful. Didn't even take pics of my whole house. If you want to sell your home then use another company

So I've copied and pasted this from an email I sent to James Waddington at the branch, and I don't often take time out of my day to write these sorts of things, so that in itself is a good review!
"Thanks again, this has been the most straightforward experience I've ever had dealing with an estate agent in my life. I really appreciate how easy you've made the process for me, it's made a staggering difference to what is normally an incredibly stressful time.

Put our house onto the market as needed a bigger home at first the company was brilliant that was until we had a viewing they turned up late.... then asked if we was the buyers ???? why would the buyer be in my house with out them ?
Then they booked viewings without actually contacting us my partner had to ring them to find out what was happening with the property to be told as we are leaving for a holiday that they have viewings booked in for the day after.
Then the cherry on the cake ...THEY RANG US UP AND SAID THE HOUSE WAS NO LONGER ON THE MARKET BECAUSE THE SELLER CHANGED THEIR MIND ???? I mean what last I checked we was the seller? When we tried to contact them we wouldn't receive an answer....in all honesty I'm happy they have taken it down now promised a sale with in 2 weeks a month later and only had two viewings that the poor sales rep new nothing about the house what so ever because she was late the whole lay out was changed yet they used the description of the house when we bought it back in 2018

Me and my partner had a veiwing for our FIRST TO RENT PROPERTY what we got rushed through the whole property so didn't spot any major issues at first because of the rush
The issues we got told was a simple replace two kitchen cupboards, new carpet being fitted and some screws hanging out the back door would be sorted when it came to pick up the keys no problem but when I went to check the property out wow I was shocked damp in a few places screws still hanging out the back door and other issues
So I went back to the estate agent and reported the issues and requested to meet and speak to the landlord, when it came to meet her with no problems at all we, we had a lovely chat and went through all the issues together and as we was speaking realised Peter Alan wasn't honest with us at all and they wasn't honest with the landlord
As far as she was aware we only had the 1 cat when infact it was 3
And all the as of the work what needed doing according to Peter Alan we agreed to move in and live there with the damp and all the work what needs doing witch was a hold new kitchen not two kitchen cupboards, a whole new bathroom and so on
Again the landlord was so apologetic and embarrassed
So in short Peter Alan doesn't care about anything or one except getting properties sold or to let as quick as possible witch out considering the tenants health and safety and feelings of them and the landlord

Rhys Chapman at Peter Alan Blackwood is simply a legend. I was in an urgent situation needing a place to move into within days due to a different lettings agent messing me around, and after explaining the situation to Rhys, he listened and immediately helped me with a property that had just gone up, called me back promptly, went out of his way for something that’s not standard protocol, and took care of everything efficiently, quickly and simply.
If it wasn’t for Rhys, I’m not sure where I’d be living or even if I would have a place, not to mention a place I absolutely love. The excellent service and personal treatment received were both in stark contrast to the experiences I had with the vast majority of other agents I recently dealt with - in fact, Rhys was the only person who I actually felt was reliable, on my side and doing everything possible to help, which radically alleviated my stress.
It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Rhys and briefly with other Peter Alan staff. I honestly wish I could be dealing with Rhys for all future properties! Very much appreciated.

Back in August we were left in a bit of a mess when our landlady decided she wanted to move back into the property we were renting from her. This company from start to finish is an absolute joke. I signed a 6 month tenancy lease with a view to extend for 12 months ...... i wasnt told at any point there would be a £100 renewal fee. Durkng my 6 months at the property i called peter alan in blackwood and head office to take down the to let sign the sign has never been removed. When it came to renew my tenancy peter alan would only offere a 6 month renewal which mean in 6 months time i would have pay peter alan another £100 pounds. The lady liz owers who i had been dealing with on and off only works part time so i would get limited commnnication. 3 days a weeks . Its been a massive mess and poor service i would aviid or take great caution when dealing with these.

Was meant to view a property in crumlin on Wednesday the 3rd of august at 5pm, arrived 10 minutes early and waited until 5.10 to contact the office for myself and my partner to be told that we had the wrong time and that the girl doing the viewing and had just left the office and would be with us soon.
However we then had to call back again at 5.40 to see where the girl was and was told they would contact her and call us back.
They called us back and said that they couldn't get hold of her but they would get her to call us in the morning.
Despite all of this when my partner emailed the estate agents to complain they called my partner and tried to blame us for their incompetence.
Quick warning to potential landlords, do not leave your property in their hands or it will be on the market forever !!!

I was meant to be viewing a property today and some genius from the lettings team has managed to take the keys home to the property and then have a day off and not tell anyone else in the office. So I booked the morning off work at my own cost being self-employed to have someone ring me 15 minutes before the viewing to say they can't find the keys. Then have me wait around another hour to find out they cannot obtain them. Absolutely incompetent service
