TLDR: Sold property during tenancy, told I'd be unaffected before being told I had 2 days to move out, demanding double rent payment, refusal to refund deposit & rent overpayment on a property they no longer own. Happy to take action when a rent layment is 2 days 'late' (even if the payment isn't a valid one) but outright reject liability categorically when it comes to refunding tenants.
Thieves and con-artists.
Moved in end of March 2021, landlord sold the property during my tenancy and I was told it'd make no difference to me (sold with tennant)
2 days before the sale was final I am visited by the new landlord to clarify that I'd be moving out October 15th (this was on October 13th) as Peter Alan informed him I was leaving. No conversation had been had with me.
Was made to sign a new contract, find a new deposit and rent half way through the month and was told my previous deposit and rent overpayment will be refunded.
Instead, Peter Alan attempted to charge me rent on the 1st of November (on a property they no longer managed and insisted I was moving out), then issued me with late payment warnings and potential action.
Since then I have been fighting to get my refund back. I have had my deposit (as its held seperately) but I am still fighting to get my refund back. Peter Alan insist they are not liable to repay my refund even though my statements show that my payments were sent to Peter Alan.
I've had nothing but excuses, deceit and unproffesionalism from Peter Alan, particularly Kim Wilkes whom seems to spend the vast majority of her time either never in the office and therefore never working, or just blatantly ignoring emails from me on the matter.
Legal actions have already begun though given how this will now take time, I'd rather for-warn potential tenants ahead of time! Given the choice between going with Peter Alan again or being homeless, I'll be finding myself a nice box

The staff at Peter Alan, Maesteg were great, very professional and accommodating. Megan was excellent in dealing with viewings, allowing me to visit the house a few times to take measurements etc. Jess was brilliant in explaining things to me as a first time buyer, and was always very responsive to my calls/emails. Shauna was helpful in dealing with both solicitors and ensuring all paperwork was done promptly.
The girls were all great in dealing with my purchase, and the whole process for me only took 9 weeks. Would definitely recommend their service.

Cannot rate Peter Alan enough from start to finish they have been an excellent estate agency.
Arranging visits to view properties were done quickly and arranged around a convenient time for us. Communication was made via email and over the phone which made contacting the estate agents easy with any queries answered within a few hours. All staff were extremely helpful, however Jess was our main point of call who was informative and very helpful.
We chose to go with Peter Alan’s solicitors which were Howell’s solicitors which I believe was the best move as it enabled the process to move quickly and smoothly. Within less than 4 weeks of us putting in an offer, all paperwork is complete and we shall be receiving the keys today! We cannot believe within the space of 6 weeks we will have become home owners

What a joke been waiting 3 weeks for my for "sold stc" sing to be taken down rang for the 3rd time today asking when its going to be taken down couldn't give me an answer as it's a 3rd party company !! But then accuses me of being rude and raising my voice! their attitude is completely ridicules through my whole buying process they have been completely unhelpful. I'm waiting for a manager to ring me back to make a complaint br guess what to call back absolute joke of a company .

The representative who came to value my property couldn't have been more professional, she explained and discussed at length all the available options regarding sale of my property thoroughly, left a written copy of everything discussed after going through this copy with me to make sure I understood everything before she left.
I was also given practical, realistic, advice regarding the preparation of my property for sale

Uploading what seem like great properties at a great price in order to clickbait people into calling seems to be the new marketing plan at Peter Alan, Maesteg.
Landlords; you have to ask yourselves: is this the estate agency you want to associate with?
Tenants; you have to ask yourselves, are the astronomical fees really worth this kind of treatment from what should be a 5 star estate agency?
I would usually expect better from the 'leading' estate agent in the area.

The professionalism is a disgrace and so unprofessional. I’m surprised they are still running.. David told me that the property was ready for us and we were so excited but when we walked through the door on our moving in day there were builders everywhere and it was a huge mess. I don’t understand how it was so messy tho because David told me it was professionally cleaned. What a liar!!!! The oven was stinking from the previous tenants and there were Used bars soap left in the shower, it was filthy. Well anyway through out the whole experience it was disgusting and today now my boyfriend sat outside the old house for over an hour for an inspection, he rung peter Alan and asked where the guy was and they said oh sorry they called in sick, well you could have phoned you useless bunch of morons!!!’ Don’t trust peter Alan!!!!!!
