As novice house sellers I can't recommend Philip Martin more highly. We had a lower value property yet we were treated professionally with time and care was taken to get the details and pictures just so. The property sold after the first viewings but the support never stopped and Alice was always on the end of the phone whenever I had a query or the inevitable snag aroise holding my hand every step of the way.... We found them to be professional and ethical on both occasions, and after obtaining their guide valuation along with two other agents felt their guide price was the most realistic and had no hesitation in appointing them as our sole agent. Sean and his colleagues were a pleasure to deal with throughout the transaction, keeping us fully informed progress. We were particularly pleased that viewings were accompanied and most if not all the team were familiar with the property. Awful letting agents, do not care about the state of your property as long as they get their money, You downright have to harass them to get a response when you have a maintenance issue that needs fixing and even then it will be some time before they come and fix in. Once the shower stopped functioning and they took over 2 weeks to send someone round to look at repairing it, a shower should be essential to be fixed quickly but Philip Martin felt it ok to leave us without one for over 2 weeks. The same shower leaked and left a hole in the kitchen ceiling which was never fixed. There was a leaking pipe outside the back door that was never fixed, the house was damp and hadn't been decorated since the 1970's. It also had some electrics that would not pass an inspection and in over 5 years not once was our boiler ever checked or serviced. In the time we were there however Philip Martin had no problem in collecting over £51,000 in rental payments. I would not recommend Philip Martin to anyone. The staff are rude and condescending and have zero customer service skills. The worst agent I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with by a country mile.... Read more
