Highly recommend.
Viewed property pretty much soon as I found it. Staff was amazing with my child who was very inquisitive.
Then the whole process of referencing and deposits etc and getting keys was straight forward.
Any issues we have had the team at Larkham and pike have been so attentive. And very genuine.
Can’t ask for much more from letting agent!

IVE BEEN SCAMMED BY THIS PEOPLE
They will take 400£ FEES ( which is not legal anymore) for reference purposes and if you fail NO REFUND WOULD BE GIVEN! This matter would be reported to ombudsman services and all over web to aware people about this matter
You shouldn’t be paying 400 for 1h of work !! This matter should be discussed and in case you fail etc. Should be deducted and remain should be refunded !!! Joke!

The absolute worst letting estates I have ever encountered. Staff is rude and unprofessional. One of the girls had bed bugs on her headboard and when she reported to maintenance she was told it was her that brought them. Had to call back with her sister and only then did they take accountability. We were told to throw away the headboard. When we left the property and were waiting for our deposit they tried to charge her for the headboard they told her to throw away! Landlord tried to enter our with 0 notification didn’t even state who he was until I asked and proceeded to try force his was in the front door- I don’t know if he thought no one was home but I was the only one home so I attended the door, still no mention of who he was until he was standing in the hall and said “I’m with pikes”. Proceeded to almost patronise me and intimidate me by saying we best clean the house before moving out to avoid cleaning charges - which is no longer compulsory- but we cleaned very well anyways. Told me about the other girls rent status then left when I guess he realised I wasn’t letting him into to any of our rooms. He tried to enter off of the girls rooms but it was locked and then tried to find a key to open it. I stated sternly she isn’t home. I rang pikes to report this they said they’d look into it and get back to me - shocker the never did. I rang again they apologised and confirmed it was the landlord and apologised that there was no notification given about his visit - also illegal.
They have an attitude of passing blame onto us, if they’re lucky and we’re not educated enough about the topic we’ll take the blame. If you are well aware of what is correct and what isn’t and state “actually no this is your responsibility as an agent” only then will they do what needs to be done. They test their luck and see who accepts blame and who doesn’t. It was a very very disheartening experience which is a shame because the flat was lovely
Most of these reviews are defo fake because this time last year they had 2 stars and horrible reviews so maybe they tried to clean their act. A good reputation is a result of INPUT. Changing your image online doesn’t change the fact that you’re a horrible inconsiderate agency that treats tenants like literal dogs

Rented from these guys for a short period of time, left with no place to go over Christmas 2022. Manged to complete everything within 2 weeks to move in. Only stayed as a stop gap of 6 months and when left got a full deposit back and was looked after every step of the way.

Brilliant estate agents with a truly caring team. I stayed in 11 Field View Court for my first 6 months in Hertfordshire and the quality of the flat was fantastic. Everything done to a hog spec from the paint work to the facilities. Not to mention the view was out of this world with a great area to walk round just outside the door. For me rent was just a little too much but I hope for someone else it will be affordable enough for them to enjoy. I will miss that little flat. If it comes back in the market when my financial situation improves I will move back in a heartbeat!

This agent is fraud & scam they cheated us booking advance for 385 pounds and when we tried tranafering money our back showed fraud alert.
When we called agent they said they opened a new account so it is the reason for alert.
We paid 385 pounds and gave our employee references and later week I resigned firm for better roles. They didn't agree my income proof when I said I'm ready to pay 1 year advance they didn't agree that. This was property in 136 Dragon Rd, Hatfield AL10 9NZ
They didn't refund or gave us Lettings time and money waste.

I had a great experience with Larkham and Pike, really helpful and friendly, very quick response times and managed the whole letting process really efficiently. The couple of (minor) queries I had with the property were quickly resolved or answered by the team. They really did make the process easy and pain free. I would certainly recommend them.

I had a positive experience with Larkham & Pike. I locked myself out of the flat, and they picked up my call straight away and found a solution so quickly, sending over one of their planners who had a spare key. Being locked out of your house is very stressful, particularly for me as my car keys were also attached to my house keys so I couldn't go anywhere, and I am very thankful for the property agents acting so quickly and helping me out in this very unfortunate situation.

We had a lot of trouble finding a place to live when we entered college.
Everything was finalized, and we even sent one of our friends to check out the location.
Since we had several bank holidays in a row and it took some time to get the correct bank information, the holding deposit was received one or two days late.
They informed us that we couldn't have the place since someone else had already paid the deposit before they received the money.
I can't blame the people who paid them, but there should be some morality and ethics in a business, as well as some patience and more than just a focus on profits.

Highly not recommended...very poor service and bad experience received for me and also for my friends. The property was done with a view by our friend and we were ready to move forward. We were ready to fulfill the demands that they said on their Pikes Estate Agency official website. There was a late in sending the bank details and we couldn't do the payment at first. So that we lost the property that we chose. We were not informed about not getting the property and just wasted our valuable time.

Bad idea to choose this Pikes Estate Accommodation. The property that we chose has been finalized after talking with the people there. A property view also has been done by our friend living in the UK. There was a late in sending the right bank details to us. Unfortunately, there were public holidays and we couldn't send the holding deposit on time. The agency doesn't show any patience and gives the same property to the other people after they received our deposits. Ethics and Decency is required while running this kind of company.

It's with great difficulty that we found a place to stay at when we start University. Everything had been finalised, we even had one of our friends have a look at the place . Since we had a few bank holidays in succession and took sometime to receive the right bank details, holding deposit got a day or two late. After they received the money, they informed us that we can't have that place since someone else has already paid the deposit.
I can't blame the people who paid them, but there's a bit of decency and ethics that a company should have, an amount of patience, a company should not just be money minded.

Very much disappointed with their service,along with my friends I was hoping to rent a property when we reach UK . Somehow we even arranged someone to view the property and they did not even acknowledge about other people waiting to book the house . As we were from India it took some time for us to transfer the holding deposit but we did it just as soon as the agent gave us the proper bank details and after sending the money they informed us that someone else has paid the holding deposit.

It was very good to deal with Pikes Estate Agents in Hatfield.
I've rented a flat in Hatfield with Pikes for 5 years and as you would expect I had to liaise with the estate agents quite often. They are always available and supportive.
- The boiler in the flat was quite old and broke a couple of times. The agents were quick to send the plumber.
- Once the gardeners broke the French-window, and (due to some availability issues) it took a month to have it replaced. The estate agents were very supportive and communicated effectively throughout the process.
- When it comes to perform the property checks they were always discreet and accommodated our needs.
In conclusion, it is a very good agent to do business with. Strongly recommended.

I can’t even put into words the disgust I feel towards how I’ve been treated by this estate agents. They have completely abused that I am a first time buyer and have caused me so much unnecessary stress and money since purchasing the property. Not only have they breached the contract by leaving hundred of pounds worth of furniture in the property they then disposed of my own personal items! They have been rude arrogant and disrespectful every time I call to get a resolution for the parts of the contract they have not fulfilled and that’s on the small amount of times I actually get a response. They have not provided me with one of the keys which I need to get a meter reading and are again unwilling to help me with this matter.
Avoid these greedy and incompetent individuals as much as you can. Shameful service!!!

This page used to be rated 2 stars and now it has gone to 4. 100% fake reviews. I used them for two years not out of choice and i promise you with my life, they will scam you out of your deposit. I think the running cost of owning a house, they pay that with our deposit. We cleaned our house fully but there was bit of stains on the carpet and just for that, they charged us £650. Professional cleaning would have cost of us £50 probably.
Anyway. If you have no choice but to use them, make sure you take pictures when you first arrive at the house and then send it to them on email for evidence.
I would defo use them if i was a landlord though.

The speed with which Pikes EA acted on our instructions was admirable. Whether they were erecting their sign board or contacting potential buyers, they were fantastic! There was a personal touch too about how they related to us in the process of selling our house. It did not matter whether it was face-to-face meeting or on the phone, Pikes EA staff were friendly, understanding and considerate in their approach. We got a buyer on the first day people came to view the property.

I've noticed that there is quite a few fake reviews on these people. While I was a student and a tenant I had a bad experience, they have staff who are incredibly arrogant and completely useless. They also stole around £500 in deposit deductions from us for a property that was left in a very good state with no breakages.

I can't say that my overall dealings with Pikes Estate Agent has been the smoothest neither has it been great. All very polite when they want business but as soon as they have it they become very unhelpful, especially if you don't want them to manage your tenancy. I bought properties through Pikes in 1998 and 1999, which they rented out to students for me for 15 years, until the stress of renting to students got too much. By then I had retired, so had more time to look after the properties, and rented the houses room by room to professionals, mostly Eastern European, who pay rent in full and on time, rarely take drugs and keep their house clean! Even though they do not act as agents for me any more, I still go to them for help and advice, property valuations and sales. I mostly deal with the excellent and knowledgable Jonathan, who was there 20 years ago when I bought my first house, but the whole team, Alan, Paul, Bradley and Chrissie are very helpful, resourceful and reliable.

The member of staff that I dealt with when renting a property took us around to view a property and spent the whole time playing Pokemon go. When it came to signing the contract there were lots of fees that he did not tell me about, he seemed and still seems very unhelpful and uninterested in his job.

They are one of the worst Estate Agents and peopled by group of amateurs who don't really know what they are doing or their responsibilities. I attempted to buy a house through them but they have messed up my time and the money I had spent on the transaction. At the time I went to view the property, I was told by their staff that the roof of the house was recently replaced and said that it should still be under warranty because roofing are usually gurantee for 25yrs. After I had spent money on homebuyer report, done searches, etc. Their seller could not provide any documentation on the works on the property including the roofing. No warranty and no single documentation on the roofing, boiler, and the recent works done in the property.
A closer look at the roof showed that it is still leaking .
Confused Pikes also failed/refused to convince the seller to take indemnity insurance. An Estate Agent ought to be a negotiator but they failed woefully to negotiate and let their seller know her responsibilities.
Conclusion, don't use them! They are very rude and will waste your time and money. They are amateur estate agent who don't know much about the business.

Rude, useless staff. Dont care about their tenants. Only care about money. They are happy for tenants to live in a unsafe property and fall unwell because of it. Disgusting how they treat people. Worst estate agent I know. Wish I could give them no star rating. 0/5. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.
