As a buyer of a property I have to say that my experience with Powells Estate Agents and especially dealing with Oli Thompson, was totally unexpected. Normally, when I've bought in the past, the agent is working for and on behalf of the vendor, but to my surprise and delight Oli worked tirelessly for me too. He regularly contacted both sets of solicitors, chasing whenever necessary, including the vendor for some documentation, and kept me updated at least once a week with progress/status reports. I would definitely recommend both Oli and Powells Estate Agents and hope Oli is still working for them if and when I look to sell.

We had three estate agent valuations and overall we were most impressed with Powell’s. Every dealing we had was professional, speedy and honest. They handled all the viewings, and their feedback from prospective purchasers was extremely quick and we were made fully aware of the appraisal of the feedback they received. The fact that within three days of being on the market, a fixed agreed price was reached by the Friday of that week! Powells provided an excellent service for us in 2022 selling our property in Llanvetherine near Abergavenny. Our main representative was Abbie Young who was very professional throughout the marketing and sales process and, indeed, provided fantastic support for us during a difficult time. Abbie definitely offered a service way beyond anything we have experienced with other agents. Our house was a period property and Powells certainly appreciated its history and uniqueness. They also produced an excellent brochure and marketing online tour. In addition they liaised with the agent handling our onward purchase and did sterling work facilitating the multiple sales and purchases in the chain that we were involved with. Powells also worked seamlessly with our solicitor. I would highly recommend them.

We recently bought our forever home in the Monmouth area through Powells, and we have nothing but praise for Lucy Hodges who supervised the whole process in a thoroughly professional and courteous manner, while at the same time retaining a warm and friendly approach.
From our first meeting she was always available to answer any questions however trivial, and always responded quickly to emails and phone calls. Questions for the vendor were relayed and responded to speedily and efficiently, and overall the service that she provided was exemplary.
The ultimate gesture of customer service was when she went out of her way to meet me at the property on her way home from work to hand over the keys after the family and removers had been held up by delays on the motorway!
I have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending Powells to anyone looking to by or sell in this area.

Whether a house sells quickly or slowly may often be determined by external factors but Powells marketed and sold our property in an unrivalled approach. Professional photography and videos, detailed monthly reporting on internet activity, comprehensive reports after each viewing, regularly changing web based data to increase interest etc. On top of that, the personnel involved were extremely professional combined with enthusiastic personalities that made them a joy to deal with. We are sure all of this contributed to a successful sale being made during one of the most difficult recent periods when lockdown was in place.

A real gem! I don't usually leave reviews BUT I had to write and tell you that we were so lucky to have chosen Powells to sell our farm. From the very first meeting, when we instructed them to act for us, right up to the final moving day, they exceeded our expectations with their friendly, professional and totally responsive manner throughout the whole process. Nothing was too much trouble. Selling your home is such a stressful period in your life, however they 'held our hands' and their reassurance ( when things seemed a bit fraught at times ), enabled us to reach our goal of moving on. We were on the market for a little less than 3 weeks. The purchaser was actually a viewing that we weren't going to take but were advised to by Powell's. Obviously, we're very happy that we did.
