A bit late posting this, but just wanted to say that the whole team at Oulsnam Bournville were just the best when we bought through them recently. Lovely people, super communicative & plain speaking (no jargon!)
They helped us navigate quite a tricky purchase due to probate and renegotiations after the survey, but it felt like they weren’t taking sides but trying to ensure a fair outcome for all.
Highly recommended, though we have no intention of selling the lovely house we bought from them and are in the process of renovating.

We were originally planning to sell our family home in March 2020, had the valuation, got the photos planned but...!! Then in February 2021 we again contacted Rachel Andrews at Oulsnams, Bournville and everything was organised quickly and efficiently. The photos were fantastic and it was really lovely to see the house looking at its very best. All the viewings were managed by the Oulsnams team and within 30 minutes we had an asking price offer for the house. Within 48 hours we had 2 asking price offers and one very close. The process was brilliantly managed and we were able to complete with our chosen buyers within 11 weeks and before the end of the stamp duty holiday. We have bought and sold several houses in the Bournville area over many years, some our own and some buy to let. We only ever ask Oulsnams to handle the sale process and we are always delighted if they are acting for the vendors. For us they are by far the best local agent and we have never been disappointed. Aghhh, a house purchase! Like trying to navigate the Niagara rapids in a skiff with no paddles! You never know when you’ll hit a rock, or get flipped into the rushing water to meet your peril at the falls edge. Not so for me! Oulsnam provided ample support and helped negotiate the unexpected bumps and scrapes when they appeared. All this during lockdown too! If Rachel was the life-jacket, then Samantha was the oars; helping me navigate the turbulence and leading onward to still and calm waters. So, thanks to the staff for my lovely new home. Oulsnams were always friendly, straight forward and accommodating. What more do you want from an Estate Agent? I didn’t get splashed once!

I cannot recommend Oulsnams at Bournville enough. From start to finish the service they provided was superb. Rachel, the Manager initially valued our property and was extremely enthusiastic about the sale.
The price she estimated was very favourable and we ‘sold’ on the first day of viewing.
Throughout the sale, the person who shone for me was Becky. Nothing was too much trouble and every little query or niggle was very quickly chased up and she kept us continually in the loop. She really did make a stressful time much, much easier.

If you're looking for an estate agent to sell your home, i would strongly recommend Oulsnam.
As someone that has been looking for a house, i have been really impressed with Oulsnam. They have been the most proactive at sending out property match information (the only agents to have done so despite registering with multiple). They have been knowledgeable about all properties we have seen with them and always followed up with a phone call afterwards and again if we hadn't discounted a property initially. All without being pushy.
If we were to sell in the area later on, i would choose Oulsnam given recent experience.

I can’t rate Rachel, Samantha and the team at Oulsnam Bournville highly enough - I would give them ten stars if I could. They did everything that they said they would and more. They sold my home in King’s Norton very quickly while I was going through health problems and a divorce, and were great at communicating with me and my ex-husband throughout. Feedback from viewings was prompt and very helpful. Once the sale was agreed, Samantha kept on top of everything and managed to get us over the various hurdles that accompany any property transaction. I thought that they were incredibly professional, kind and compassionate whilst also absolute experts on the local market. We visited a house, we were given 15 minutes and not a minute more. The estate agent (a woman, can't remember her name) seemed exasperated to be there. She was so exasperated that all our questions were answered with "I don't know" so eventually we stopped asking questions. I'm assuming because this was an auction property, they weren't getting as high a commission as they would with a traditional sale and therefore wanted to put in as little effort as possible - disappointing.

A real cut above other estates agents in both regards as being a seller and a buyer. Their customer server is excellent and communication with customers is obviously very important to Oulsnam (unlike several other estate agents); found they were very efficient, kept you informed about every process and every viewing via text and email reminders. As a seller I really felt they were there for you, pushing things forward, chasing up solicitors etc. to keep things moving. As such the sale of our property was smooth and as stress free as these things can be. The staff are fantastic (in particular Rachel and Becky who I had most contact with) both professional and polite – nothing was too much trouble for them. I’d definitely recommend Oulsnam whether you’re buying or selling.

We chose Oulsnam Bournville for their knowledge of the area, enthusiastic staff and market share. We were pleased with the number of viewings especially since our property would only appeal to a particular buyer.
Once sold there were some issues with surveys etc that were dealt with efficiently and delays caused elsewhere in the chain that were chased regularly.

You need to be a little wary about misrepresentation when a property marketed as 'chain free - vendor going into rented' suddenly changes into 'they have changed their mind & now need to find a property' as you provide proof of funds after having an offer (above asking) accepted. I hope this isn't a common scenario but post my review in case others are experiencing similar.
The agent apologised nicely explained they can only act on the instruction of their 'clients' but as a potential buyer I certainly feel like a customer funding the operation so I expect a better service experience than this.
