We have used the sales team at Oulsnams to sell our mother’s house, we have been extremely lucky to have Natalie, Branch manager at the Northfield branch in Birmingham working on our sale. I have found Natalie to be extremely professional, knowledgeable, experienced and friendly, and Natalie is always clear on advice . Natalie is always quick to respond and often will pick up the phone rather than wait to either chase or remind me or answer any questions.
I couldn’t recommend Natalie, and therefore Oulsnams, more highly and I would certainly encourage family and friends to use the service.

I had an exceptional experience with Oulsnam. Natalie supported me both with buying my property and then selling it a few years later. During the selling process Natalie, and Alison from the same office, kept in frequent communication with the buyer to encourage the sale to happen as soon as possible, and was able to fill in the gaps when I struggled to get information from solicitors (a massive help which sped up the sale time!) I also always has quick responses from them which was always appreciated during the stressful sale process. I really recommend.

I have twice bought from the Oulsnam team in Northfield, once as a nervous first time buyer, and second time round in a slightly more complex but no less stressful situation. I've never once had a bad interaction with this team. Ann in particular has been an incredibly helpful and calming influence at various points and has worked wonders in holding the chain together and communicating with everyone. It's a shame that as a buyer you don't really get to choose your estate agent because I would recommend these guys every time.

We have used Robert Oulsnam a number of times over the years to both buy and sell. More recently the Northfield office dealt with the sale of my dads flat. My dad suffered an initial disappointment with a sale falling through on a sheltered housing flat he was buying, but successfully secured a sale with the Bournville office. Both offices worked wonderfully well together to make the process run smoothly. Gary and Ann were wonderful and very compassionate with my dad. Gary provided great customer care after service too to check on how we were as I was going through breast cancer at the time and my dad had a spell in hospital. Wouldn’t hesitate to use Oulsnam time and time again for their high standards of customer care.

Selling property on the BVT can be more complex than in other areas . We needed to purchase the freehold before we could sell ,but Oulsnam suggested we market the house as freehold on completion so we could find a buyer as soon as possible.. I am not sure another Estate agent would have offered that option. Oulsnam and particularly Natalie were brilliant. The first viewing we had a credible offer for the house and Natalie patiently kept in touch with me, the solicitors and our buyers during a process that took ,longer than any of us thought due to delays in the process to purchase the freehold and then an issue with the buyers mortgage. However today we have completed the purchase. Other companies may offer flat fees but in my opinion you get what you pay for . We were selling my parents property which was empty and as such needed an estate agent who could give a fully managed service, Oulsanams delivered. We recently bought a house locally through Oulsnams (Sept. 2017) and cannot recommend the team highly enough. We were so impressed with their patience and the time they took to explain all of the processes for us. Our Estate Agent in comparison offered none of this attention or understanding, although we were happy with the sale of our property we found that Ouslnams were far more customer focused and professional (even though they weren't receiving our fee!!). When we first put our house on the market back in 2016 we had several Estate Agents come round to view the house and give us information on how much they felt it would be worth and also what they offered in way of a service and the costs involved. Robert Ouslnam were not the cheapest of the Agents we had visit, but from the off we were so impressed with the Sales Manager and his friendly, professional approach that although we knew it would cost more than the other Agents, he instilled in us a feeling of confidence. We had been in our house for 29 years and at our age this was going to be an upheaval and we knew this. Our boys tried to talk us into going for the cheaper option but we stuck to our guns and went with Oulsnam.
I have to say we are so glad we made that decision. The staff at the Northfield Office were an absolute Godsend to us during this difficult and stressful time. It unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, took around 7 months to sell and purchase our new property but the Sales Manager at the Northfield Office kept in touch with us on a regular basis and towards the end he contacted a whole host of people weekly to try and speed things along. He really was our lifeline and we would 100% recommend Robert Oulsnam to anyone considering selling their property.

By pure coincidence, when we come to purchase our 2nd property 23 years later, it was Oulsnams selling the property that we now call home - the service was just as good. Their local presence and knowledge was a vital factor in valuing our property realistically, undertaking accompanied viewings, and in finding potential buyers quickly. I recently brought a property through the Northfield office and was particularly impressed by gary in handling the sales process, and in Jaqui, the mortgage broker who offers great mortgage deals with no fees, saving me hundreds of pounds on what I had previously paid morgage brokers. Oulsnam was very good - they sold our house in 2015. The cost was some £250 more than their competitors - we obtained three quotations - but their valuation of our house was some seven thousand pounds higher. It was necessary to offer a small discount on the house, but we were able to earn several thousand additional pounds by using their services.
Additionally, they stayed on top of the progress of the transaction, and helped push it to completion - which, due to the other parties to the transaction, was not hassle free for them. I genuinely believe another estate agent would not have been able to hold the deal together.
