I have known of sellmyhome for 5 years, having used their partner company rentmyhome to market my property as a rental. Back then I couldn't have been more impressed. I would recommend them to anyone that would listen as a cost affective alternative to high street agents, but without the loss of service or professionalism - and back then even wrote a 5 star review on trust pilot. So when it came to selling my home it was a no brainer to get them around. Out of which I now have 2 red flags - firstly, after the valuation appointment, despite have told them in writing I was not interested in progressing with them, I walked out of my house to find a Sellmyhome for sale board outside my house!!! Before it was even on market with my chosen agent. How dare they use my property for free advertising when I hadn't even appointed them as my agent, let alone asked my permission (personally I never want a sign outside my house - Im in London and I believe they are pointless and only offer brand awareness for the agents). Secondly they valued it at £675-700k maximum. Yet it sold within 3 days for £800k (with 1 offer even higher but in a chain). Say no more.

He is actually the most proactive agent I know. Always smiling and positive, very upbeat. He's of great support also through a very painful process, made even more difficult with the distance (I live in another country).

Great start, understood everything and good photos taken supplemented by some of mine because they initially used old Google photo of house which didn't reflect all the work done upgrading the property - but only 2 viewings in 2 months

It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Wes our Sell my home agent from start to finish.
His valuation and pricing advice were spot on, he showcased the great selling points of my property well. His communication was second to none, calling regularly with updates of viewings, feedback and offers.
I trusted his foresight when we discussed and agreed a same reduction on the house price, which did exactly as Wes predicted and we had a flurry of viewings, up to 6 in a day and made a sale within 4 days.

By far and away the cheapest way to get your property listed on the major portals. For. Enthusiastic, committed DIYers it remains a good option.
However, delays in getting photos ready, quality of photos and floorplans and ~ five requests to get the Rightmove description to match the original one I sent was frustrating.
