andy and jovanna were so helpful in explaining the process of referencing and they were incredibly patient as i had a few issues. and when i had some issues in the flat when i first moved in they were quick to chase the landlord to sort out all the issues. im very happy with the overall experience from spencer james

I have nothing but praise for Spencer James Residential. I have rented a flat via them, bought a flat via them, and now sold a flat via them; and every time they have been fantastic. Tom is an exceptional estate agent - helping me get the price I wanted and going above and beyond throughout the entire sales process to make sure the sale went through. Andy had been the lettings agent who dealt with our renting process and he left a very positive impression after our first meeting. He went above what a normal agent would do by giving us a detailed introduction of the area and amenities, putting us at ease that the location was perfect. The repair issues were also handled within an acceptable timing.
Upon moving out, Jovonna facilitated the process and we got back our rental deposit within a day which was the speediest service we ever encountered from years of dealing with other agencies.
Also a massive thanks to Tom who facilitated the buying process for our flat. Overall, a highly professional team at SJR!

Absolutely horrible company to rent from.
From moving in day we were treated like we were not welcome, having delays on trains to pick up the keys we were spoke to in a completely unacceptable way, almost being told that were to stay on the streets for our first night. Clearly once the money had cleared we were no longer a priority. On moving in no professional clean had been done.
Report an issue with simple and expected items in the home and you’re totally ignored for months. We had leaks in several roofs, no usable refrigerator, vermin excrement in the dryer, rats in the garden, a broken wardrobe which we were then charged for. When we were finally given a refrigerator we were told late afternoon/evening for the delivery. This arrived at 7am and the old fridge was left outside the property for several days.
Both myself and housemate had several unfortunate situations we had to deal with during our stay in the property including ill health and the death of my father. During this time we were hounded by agents despite having clear communication about these issues.
Since leaving the property the company has gone on to give my personal email to a third party company who continues to send me marketing material on a weekly basis, this was never agreed to.
All in all Spencer James has added considerable misery, financial hardship and stress to my life at an already difficult time. If you see a property with these cowboys I’d suggest you run the other direction.

They helped us find our new home, and the place and surrounding view is just amazing. By no means it is not perfect, as each property has something thats needs to be worked on, but they had what me and my fiancee were looking for. Somethings that were not present in our previous home(myself to blame as we were new to the country and hadnt checked everything). We supposedly assumed those would normally be present in every home in the country,clearly that was not the case, as it is a luxury back in our motherland, so we are immensely happy that it is present in our home. Just awesome.
We commend Jovanna Pinto and her team, for finding us, as we could literally”walk” to them if we had any concerns. Keep up the amazing work and we are delighted to be working with the team for the years to come.

Jovanna was lovely, however I’m not happy how me and my partner were dealt with all. Flat was £1450 and after viewing we gave an offer and raised it after Jovanna called us that some offered more than we did as we really wanted that flat and it was exactly what we wanted, however after agent being quiet for few days, I just went to check property again on Zoopla where the same one was raised without our knowledge for £200 what I find rude and unprofessional ,as agent haven’t informed us before doing so or apologetically said that landlord decided to raise the price. I feel fulled by that and what is important I have lost time and one suitable property which was second in a row for our liking. Btw. value of that property for what we were competing doesn’t meet new price what is advertised, no amenities close by, airport with noise and pollution is on the doorstep and 12 min walk to closest DLR station is quite long. Quite disappointing, however as perfect tenants what we are , maybe better we haven’t get it, as value is low.

Massive thank you to Spencer James for making the moving process so easy! After a particularly bad experience with another agent, it was so nice to be dealt with in such a pleasant manner.
I dealt with Jovanna through the whole process and she was professional and friendly. She was on hand to answer any questions i had ( i think i may have driven her mad but she never lost patience with me ????) Even after i'd just moved in, they checked to see if everything was okay with me and the flat.
