Kara absolutely blew us both away from the moment we met her. She was just lovely. She was so knowledgeable, went through everything with us, explained each stage, she even brought examples of the market past and present in line with the property we are looking to sell and explaining what and why. No stone was left unturned.
We came away understanding everything, the way she dealt with us was like speaking with a friend. We were totally at ease and knew Kara would take some beating on the way she made us feel, her knowledge and customer service as a whole.
The turnaround time from our initial meeting, to pictures, for the listing to go live and the board to be erected and EPC sorted was a matter of days. The service has been outstanding from Kara followed by excellent communication throughout. You really cannot ask anymore.
From one seller/buyer to another, my advice to you is choose Kara from S&B her property/market knowledge , customer service and the drive she has to assist you in buying/selling your property, i can assure you, you won't find anyone better.

We engaged Starkey and Brown to sell a property for us recently. Honestly, of the three estate agents we met, they were not the cheapest. Don't get me wrong, they were all of a reasonably similar price but S&B were a little more expensive. We chose to instruct them owing to their obvious knowledge of the market in the area, demonstrated quite clearly by Cara. It's long since been my opinion that you usually get what you pay for. In fact we did a deal with them that meant if they sold our property within 12 weeks we would pay a little more. They managed to do that, in fact.
Communications throughout the process were frequent, friendly and efficient from Lucy, Sophie and Amy. They did all our viewings and kept us up to speed with feedback within a timely manner.
Overall, they gave good advice regarding the marketable price, produced a good number of viewings quickly, kept us informed along the way and, ultimately sold our house for us quickly. I would recommend Starkey and Brown very highly.

I continued to book a valuation in on my girlfriends house and the lady that came gave me a figure extremely high and not achievable, comparing with other estate agents i would say not to use these guys especially not when the valuer is as inexperienced as starkey and browns

We recently sold both our properties through Starkey and Brown and they were fantastic! My original sale fell through and they were able to take me on as a client, market my property and have me an offer accepted within 3 business days.
Everyone in the team was helpful, knowledgeable and supportive. I didnt have one bad experience with them throughout my sale and their help with our subsequent purchase.
We both have to say that Lucy Atkinson is an asset to the team. She was our Sales Progressor and I have nothing but glowing feedback. She knows what's happening with her cases, she'll stand your corner and she'll be there to support you through the highs and lows of buying and selling houses. We had some terrible experiences with my solicitor and nearly ended up homeless for the weekend. Lucy was still with us right up until we got our keys. We both love Lucy and she's definitely the biggest reason to choose Starkey and Brown. Don't hesitate to give them a call.

I am extremely impressed with the level of professionalism provided by Starkey and Brown Scunthorpe branch within a week of my house valuation my property was sold- with 6 viewing in the meantime.
The level of communication was fantastic and I was constantly asked by sales progression how I was getting on
The agents were also able to find me a home that perfectly fit my description in the my chosen area well within my price range
I have previously used estate agents in town and must say Starkey and Brown’s level of service is not even comparable to other estate agents in town !

Selling a house can be a very stressful time for most, what can I say Starkey and Brown Scunthorpe were on the money from start to finish. Helen initially came out to value our property and described exactly what service we would receive from S&B, needless to say that is exactly what we got. Throughout the selling process Adele was in constant communication with us, not once did we have to had to chase them up. Best way to describe the S&B experience is efficient, professional, friendly and seamless.
