I cannot praise the team at Stuart Rushton enough. From the first visit to our home to provide a valuation, through to the signing of contracts, everybody we came into contact with was professional, knowledgeable and intent on providing the best service they could, but also flexible, approachable and always available to discuss any concerns. An excellent knowledge of the area, and market, along with great photos and videos meant we felt our home was being marketed in the best way it could. I'd like to particularly mention Jackie, the sales negotiator who guided and chased-up not only our buyer, but the whole chain through to a successful exchange after there were hitches lower down. She provided daily updates even when (unbeknown to us) she was working at home due to illness.

As a purchaser for my change of home after 35 years I experienced professionalism and understanding from the first day I viewed my new home to the completion day with the hand over of the keys.
Although as a purchaser I am not the actual paying client, I found Richard the Sales Negotiator extremely helpful and empathetic. The property was eventually sold to me under the best offer and bid basis and he would always be prepared to talk on the telephone and keep me up to date by emails or phone calls. This was vital as I was moving 200 miles away from my previous home and distance could have been an issue.
I shall never forget the day when Richard telephoned me to say I had won the bid.
The vendor, the Stuart Rushton Team and I worked together to secure a satisfactory completion which otherwise could have been difficult and stressful. The team work spirit was there the whole time.
When ever I needed to telephone Stuart Rushton everyone would recognise me and the receptionists would always be friendly on the telephone.
It was a joy to eventually meet the Stuart Rushton Team when I collected the keys in person on the completion day with a welcome smile after a very long journey.

After much soul searching we decided to sell our large Victorian family home after twenty years.We had two Estate Agents come to the house and both had different tactics to sell the house but broadly in line on price.Not reassured by the different tactics we called in Stuart Rushton he called the same week, immediately Stuart demonstrated three things, he understood Goostrey is an up and coming Village, excellent transport links, train, airport and motorway.He was also aware of our property through knowing the Developer who was refurbishing and extending the 143 old property, he had seen the property just before the work was started and had detailed knowledge of what was done to the property, this proved invaluable later when giving potential purchasers confidance that it may be an old house but had been refurbished to high standard. Stuart was also aware that with Jodrell Bank at the rear of the property any potential developments will prove to be very difficult.So on the back of Stuart's knowledge and the way he described his team we signed-up. Within two days we met Richard (great video) Harvey and the photographer all within the first week, great brochure backed by the video.the following week 8/9 viewings handled by Harvey the following week three final and best offers, offers were above the asking price and was accepted.The whole process was quick efficient, professional if I phoned the office Lindsay also knew who I was and knew about the property this is a great example of this Agency.
Rushton's also gave me great recommendation for Solicitors Rachel Hudson of Knights Plc she was fantastic so from start to finish this emotional journey was completed in just over 7/8 weeks remarkable.
This has been a bit of a long winded review but only because Stuart can be proud of his team,Harvey especially, we have no problem in highly recommending Stuart Rushton as the Agency to work with.

The reviews I have read suggest an excellent service for the seller (who pay the bill) but my experience as a buyer of one of their properties couldn't have been more different. Arrogant and self serving seems to cover my experience of them unfortunately. Even when I complained they told me how wonderful their reviews were....seriously???

Outstanding service for a miserable fee:
I had previously bought and sold my house with Stuart so had no hesitation in going back to them, this time to sell a field. Stuart quickly outlined the likely buyer (the biggest issue in this instance) and then Richard Shelmerdine did an outstanding job of keeping the sale going when the lawyers seemed to be trying to prevent it. The unexpected delight was their pre-agreed fee note was tiny but had no detriment on the service I received. Top marks all round (and Im good at complaining.)

Stuart Rushton & Co are running a serious risk of giving Estate Agents a good name.
I cannot praise them enough for the way they handled my sale. Stunning service. Never realised until dealt with St Rushton how much they do behind the scenes. Being a 1 off unique agent makes them stand out. Superlative treatement, James Higgin at the start, Ric Shelmerdine coming up to seal the deal. Like a well crafted football team. Seriously, moving house is painful, i know as doing double whammy of lots of dental root canal, crowns, implants.!!????Moving house similar. But these guys have just been incredible in their support, nurturing and attention to detail. Cannot rate them high enough. They are the guys you want on your side giving you mental and professional support. Literally 5 star plus.

Selliing and thankfully buying too, my mothers home with Stuart Rushton. They have been OUTSTANDING from beginning to end. I would recommend Stuart Rushton above them all. I have dealt with Knight Frank and Strutt and Parker in the past with our own house sales, and other estate agents too with the buying side, but the personal, and highly efficient services that Stuart Rushton offers, surpasses them all by a long stretch. Reliability, and above all honesty is key in this very demanding and stressful process and is as valuable as the efficiency and clarity they deliver. If I were to move again, I would without doubt use them above any other..... but sadly they are not in the south! Very special thanks to Richard. He deserves the estate agent of the year award.

I don’t normally do reviews, but the way our flat sale has been handled warrants some comment.....
From the first contact everything was dealt with not just professionally, but also relaxed and positive.
Alex Moore was always on the case, and at no point did I need to chase her for progress.
Rushtons also recommended a solicitor to handle the process who was equally efficient.
I’m sure not every sale will be as smooth(or as quick) as ours, but if they handle all sales like ours, you won’t go far wrong.
We completed within 25 days of flat being listed, and I’m sure it wouldn’t have happened without hard work from Stuart Rushton!

Richard was most helpful from the outset with my purchase. He was always available to take my call or would call me back promptly. I felt that the negotiations were dealt with very tactfully and fairly with understanding of both my position and that of the seller. Richard went above and beyond with his level of service in that he was contactable on his mobile (even on his day off) and made a special trip to the property to take a measurement I'd forgotten to take during my viewing! He made every part of the transaction go as smoothly as possibly, acting as a go-between with the solicitor, the IFA and the seller. He managed to move the job along efficiently, without being pushy or pressurising in any way. A pleasure to deal with.
