Throughout the entire process Dev has kept us fully up to date with progress and offered us very useful and practical advice. Whenever we needed to revisit the property between our offer and exchange of contracts he has been most accommodating. Dev has been very active in keeping the process moving, contacting various solicitors and estate agents involved and pushing for progress when issues were slowing things down. Dev was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. Thorough, professional, responsive and extremely pro-active. It was paramount that we sold our house before the end of stamp duty and he made this happen. He listened to what we needed and stopped at nothing to achieve it. He is an absolute credit to the GH team and the manger is extremely lucky to be surrounded by staff who genuinely care about making their customers happy and doing their job to the best of their ability (Sophie acted on Dev’s behalf when he was on annual leave and she was also a superstar - they worked together continuously to ensure there were no delays on our end). I’d strongly recommend Dev and the team to anyone considering selling their property.

We decided to put our house on the market for the Easter weekend but were late in acting. Andrew visited on the Tuesday morning and was very helpful and supportive. Frances and Dev came that same afternoon to photo and draw plans. Frances' photos showed the house really well and draft details were quickly produced. We were live on Rightmove on Thursday afternoon and GH were calling potential buyers on their lists. First viewings were arranged for Saturday with many more the following week. All viewings were accompanied which was great and Sophie ran things brilliantly from the office. After a hectic week we had several good, well qualified, offers. After the sale was agreed Sophie kept us in touch with progress and the whole process was very professional, excellent value and we are happy to recommend the GH Knutsford team.

Frances used our family to pump up other offers for the seller. She confirmed after a long and arduous process we'd had our offer accepted. She then encouraged the vendor and other buyer to carry on viewings (seller confirmed) and the buyer gazump us in my opinion. She knowingly didn't send out a memorandum of sale to us for 5 days whilst getting other parties to outbid us. After we paid for searches etc Frances informed us someone had come in with another bid.......from there played us off as an auction for bidding. She openly admitted she knew this and that's why she didn't send the memorandum of sale across. Then told us we didn't get the house. The next day it was put as STC for the other buyer. Something she refused to do for us in 5 days. She openly admitted on the phone she knew of another bid hence when she didn't do the memorandum of sale.
She let us pay for searches while using us a pawn we believe. It was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with any kind of company. There was no remorse and I don't know how she sleeps at night for a little but extra of commission.
Openly trying to get improved offers and more viewing whilst sending us acceptance confirmation and letting us pay fees is a very very underhanded trick.

Extremely bad experience, too slow to respond if you have any queries. I wasted so much of my time dealing with them, hardly ever answer the phone. Definitely not worth wasting time.
Only one member of staff was honest called Jenifer.

If your property is situated on a premium road in Knutsford I would not recommend using Gascoigne Halman. They assume the property will sell itself so they do the bare minimum. They insist on taking assisted viewings but (and in our case, I typed up a list of information to be passed on to viewers) they do not give sufficient information to viewers (and in our case couldn't even be bothered to show them inside the garage even though we had left all relevant keys). The worst thing was that information they did include was inaccurate and nearly cost us our sale.

Gascoigne Halman supported us during our house purchase in a new area (to us); this included a sale with another agent. From the outset the service provided was excellent, and we had no issues with arranging viewings and follow up.
It was during the sale process when we were part of a chain of four that the Gascogine Halman really excelled, Rhiannon was nothing short of brilliant especially helping with communication up and down the chain and keeping us calm when the chain fell apart, we got it back together and the sale and purchase went through and this is in no small part due to Rhiannon's help; given we were not selling with Gascoigne Halman we cannot fault the exceptional drive to get the sales completed.
