I have recently completed on a house sale which could have been very stressful as I live far away.However,Trafford,Donna,Luke and all the team at the Mather Partnership have been superstars throughout the process, which all in all lasted approx five months from first marketing the property.I have since learnt this is about right, but my impatience and frustrations were professionally and calmly managed at each step of the process by the Mather team.Particular shout out to Trafford - I think I have conversed more with him over past five months than anyone else and I shall miss our catch ups!

My partner is trying to get the internal dimensions of the house we are interested in.
He called guy called Trafford !! two days in the row asking him to provide us with this information as is not listed on the website. My partner had no emails or a courtesy call in this matter. The company has obviously lazy, incompetent unprofessional employees.

Dear Emma, thank you for your response. Unfortunately, your recollection of the events or what you have been advised of the events are not quite correct. My partner contacted you on Tuesday, 9th January (not the 10th as you have indicated) at 4.03pm and was asking for dimensions of the rooms in the property given that none were showing. Not sure why you would have advertised the property at that stage minus this most important information I’m not sure! Anyway, Trafford told my partner that the task was in hand and that he would get this information out the next day and would telephone my partner to that effect on the 10th but no call was forthcoming. In the end my partner called on that day at 4.37pm and left a message with a female colleague for Trafford to call him back. This then prompted the call that was promised as Trafford then called at 4.56pm that he finally had the dimensions and that he could relay them all over the telephone. Given that this is a 4 bedroom house and several other rooms, this would have been a long task so my partner said to email the information instead as that would be easier. My partner also said that an email just quoting the dimensions in the body of the email was acceptable and no additional pleasantries was necessary. Trafford promised to send an email but he did NOT say that the email would be sent the next day. It was therefore assumed that the email would be sent directly after the call but it was not which was a great disappointment. Please note that my partner’s mobile has logged all the times of these calls. I suspect that owing to the late time of this call from Trafford on the 10th, so your office must have soon after closed and the email was not sent. The email finally was sent on the 11th January by mid morning with Trafford calling my partner at 1.58pm to check he had received it. My partner confirmed this but owing to him being out on the road, would look at it later when he got home. The initial rating was given on the basis of your colleague’s performance, poor communication, no follow ups and not meeting the expectations of the customer. If you were our estate agent and I knew this was how potential buyers were being dealt with then I would not be impressed!Regards, Irek M.

What can I say about Mather’s… well after a bad experience with another estate agent I was pretty skeptical however I am pleased to say Mather’s couldn’t have been better.
All the team at Mather’s are super, really friendly, on the ball and get the job done. I have to specifically mention one member of the team, Donna, who was absolutely amazing the entire process. Having been in the forces for all my adult life I have bought and sold houses many, many times and can honestly say that I have never been so impressed with any estate agent as I have been with Mathers. Our agent was Trafford Watters who acted impeccably and professionally throughout what became an increasingly tricky sale. Trafford’s tact, diplomacy and compassion rescued the sale more than once, securing a buyer quickly while reaching a fair price for both parties. We conclude the sale feeling that a friend who had genuine regard for our best interests acted on our behalf. I do not believe it would be possible to have a better service from anyone anywhere and having interacted with the rest of the team including Emma and Donna, it’s clear that Trafford’s friendly yet extremely profession manner is reflected across the whole team. Other estate agents might value your property and pop it on rightmove, but Mathers follow through the whole process from the thread to the needle. Exceptional.

My wife and I have just exchanged contracts on a property and I have been so impressed with the Mather Partnership and their handling of the sales process. We were looked after by Donna who had great inter-personal skills and professionalism. She kept up constant communication with us and at no time did we feel out of the loop regards what was happening during the sale.
Whenever I had a question or raised a query it seemed nothing was too much trouble for her and she often replied to me on the same day with the answer and, if she didn’t have the answer she would drop me a line or call me to say she was working on it. She occasionally, on an early evening, rang me to give me an end of day update. I simply think she did a brilliant job managing the different strands of the process.
To be clear, I’ve never felt compelled to write positive feedback about an estate agent’s before. My wife and I have been really impressed by Mathers as a whole. We have both said they've provided the best service we’ve ever experienced and are head and shoulders above their local competitors. Even down to the removal of the 'Sold' sign once we'd moved in to the property they literally thought of everything.

My sister and I had the uneasy situation of selling our late parents’ home. Helen came to value the property back in December. She was sympathetic and caring in her approach and provided us with the information we required to proceed. Not once did she chase us for the sale. Leaving the decision up to us to sell.
By May we were in a position to market the property. At this point Donna was introduced to us; an experienced agent who would guide us through the sale. Donna is a great professional. Kind, understanding and a great communicator , never once did we need to chase for an update Donna would phone or email to keep us up to date. When we decided on a buyer Donna would email us weekly, before her day off, to tell us where we were at with the sale. A big shout out to Helen Hunt who showed us a few places before finding our dream home. She was so nice and was able to answer all our questions easily. I also love that she was realistic when a place obviously wasn't for us (low ceilings + tall partner = bashed head) and didn't try a hard-sell tactic like we got from a few other agents. It made us a lot more comfortable with the process.
Secondly, a big thank you to Luke Kenchington in the sales team. He was super responsive and proactive in keeping us up-to-date with the process. He was a pleasure to talk to every time and had some great advice for us along the way as well.

We sold our house through the Mather Partnership. It was a far from 'normal' sale, but all the staff were very helpful, from the initial valuing, viewings (with Covid rules adhered to), video making. Aimie Clayton worked so hard in following up viewers and then once an offer was accepted, liaising well with us, the buyer and the solicitors, culminating in a sale going to completion last week.

After scheduling an appointment and after me sharing my details (email, phone number, email) the agent rudely insisted on requiring my postcode as a mandatory requirement for conducting a visit, and they would not go ahead with the visit. Are you kidding me?
- YES you ARE being difficult my dear agent
- YES you ARE being rude
- YES you ARE losing a potential serious customer
- YES it is my right to not disclose any personal detail a I see fit
- NO I don't care if your "system" is asking for the postcode;
Learn some professionality you might close some business without harassing customers. Avoid
Update :
It’s a matter of not being rude and common senses. The below answer, to my review, does not make any sense . If you base your business’ security on holding a postcode I would probably question how secure your business is...I and anyone can give you a fictitious address. Unless you cross check data with MI5 you have plenty of data (email, phone and name and surname) to conduct business and respect the boundaries of clients and their privacy. Show me your terms and conditions where providing an address is a compulsory requirement to schedule a visit please. And please don’t play the Covid card: it just does not make sense in this situation. Btw you have my address for when I sent a request online a few days ago, if you had not ignored it in the first place, we would not be in this situation by now.

My wife and I started our search for a house on the Lizard Peninsula in January 2020 when we saw a house in Ruan Minor that was being sold through the Mather Partnership. From our first contact, Luke was extremely helpful, informative and professional and assisted with our first viewings. Unfortunately due to Coronavirus our first purchase fell through. Due to the lockdown and the fact that we live (lived) in Lancashire our next viewings did not take place until August, again one of the houses was being sold through the Mather Partnership. Prior to a live viewing with the owners, Mather’s had a superb virtual video (HD) tour on their website as well as the usual description and still photographs of the house. We decided this was the house for us and our offer was accepted. During this period we were in contact with Emma who handled the negotiations and went above and beyond the remit of an estate agent, helping us through all stages of the purchase in a cheerful, friendly, professional manner and all emails and telephone calls were replied to promptly. Baring in mind the country was still in the grip of Coronavirus virus restrictions, staff were being furloughed, having to work from home and there was general uncertainty as a whole, Emma and the other staff in the office were superb. It’s been a long road to getting our dream house in Cornwall and difficult at times but made much easier by Emma and the rest of the staff at the Mather Partnership. My wife and I cannot recommend them enough.

Happy to take monthly management fees, then do an extremely poor job of actually managing the property. I rented a house out for several years and when I had the keys returned it was in an appalling state of repair. Then they prioritised the tenant (no doubt tenting through them again). Would definitely not recommend!
