All staff at Town and Country, Chester, are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I tested them out before I put our property with them, pretending to be a purchaser and they passed with flying colours! They send an email and texts of viewing details, including the names of the viewers and give feedback following each viewing. They've kept me fully informed each step if the way. We currently are going through the sale at a price we were satisfied with. I'd definitely recommend them to others. In fact, my niece sold her property the day after she'd put hers on the market.

We have just finished selling in Birmingham and buying in Chester, so we have something to compare. In short, the entire Birmingham experience was an ordeal. In complete contrast, the purchase in Chester was pretty much stress free. We would like to single out Carolyn Jones from the Chester branch. Carolyn was professional, polite and patient. The worst £3k I’ve ever spent. It’s over 12 years since I last moved house, so I’m not familiar with the process and mistakenly thought the estate agent would be there every step of the way to guide me. How wrong! After I agreed to sell, basically I had very little communication from anyone at Town & Country. The poor service started with the sales particulars being full of errors. No advice or guidance was ever provided such as when I should start packing, what happens before & after exchange etc. The only time I spoke with staff at this agency is when they suddenly phoned me asking for an exchange date in 2 weeks! The staff member I spoke to was polite & agreed to negotiate a longer timeframe due to being right before Christmas but that was all.
I asked another agent I happened to bump into what communication they provide their sellers & they keep in regular contact to check all is going smoothly, provide advice on what to expect throughout the process to reduce any stress. I felt totally in the dark! honestly I probably spoke to this agency no more than 4 times in the 5 months from start to finish…I moved 2 weeks ago and on the day of moving I never heard from them and still havent to this date. They were paid direct from my solicitor- no thank you for your business or wanting any feedback. Totally shocking. I will be letting all my friends know never to use this agency if they ever sell in the Chester area. In contrast, the agents acting for my purchase were in constant contact and gave me a welcome to my new home gift when I picked up the keys. I gave them a glowing review as deserved.

We have worked with the Town & Country team on a few occasions and there's very little that could now sway our loyalty to them.
They're the only estate agents we've come across that truly care that what you're selling is your home and it's emotional. It's not all money to them (although they are VERY reasonable compared to other Chester estate agents)
The teams communication is second to none and we never had to chase them on anything. If anything, the opposite, they called us to ask if we wanted solicitors etc chasing on our behalf.
Their knowledge is never ending and I have never felt uncomfortable calling to ask a stupid question, although I'm sure Liam now knows my voice without asking my name (sorry).
They promise, and they deliver. Every single time.

Picking an estate agent can be a bit of a mine field, especially in the current climate, but I can't fault Town and Country. I was always kept up to date, and was only the solicitors that frustrated the whole process. My 1st buyer fell through when we first entered lock down, but as soon as this was lifted they lined up more potential buyers straight away. In all took me 10months to complete on my property but given Covid restrictions, buyer pulls outs, solicitors messing about, Town and Country were the only party not giving me a headache. The knowledge, experience and professionalism of all the staff at Town & Country, Chester is exceptional. The suggested valuation was excellent and they achieved a sale at the full price. The property was sold within a fortnight but probate delays meant it could not be completed for a number of months. However, T&C kept the purchaser fully informed and happy throughout and thereby ensured the sale eventually reached completion. They chased the solicitors and pushed things along throughout the process, liaising with me regularly. I am extremely grateful for all their efforts, particularly Carolyn and Liam who were exceptional. I would definitely use T&C next time and would certainly recommend them.
