I have rented for 5+ years dealing with estate agents across the country. I can honestly say that Vincent Chandler are by far the most rude and obnoxious agencies I have dealt with. Across the 1 year of dealing with them, I occurred several on going issues at the property. When I arrived only 1 of the spot lights worked (taking 2 months for replacements. During that time I was left with holes in the ceiling throughout the hallway and kitchen). The over head fan on the oven was broken (never fixed) and there was no hot water (kettle baths were a regular alternative). It took 3 days for a call out to have someone fix the boiler for the luxury of hot water. This was a re occurring problem(8 separate call outs). The water pressure in the shower took 5 call outs to fix across 3 weeks. On the one occasion I was left with an extension lead running electricity to a pump from under the bath wrapped in a plastic bag. I had to raise as a huge safety hazard. The integrated fridge door had to be fixed on 4 separate occasions. I had to throw a fridge and freezer full of food away each time when the door failed to shut properly. A new fuse board was fitted. The kitchen tap was replaced twice and continuously leaked. This added to an already damp kitchen. No water pressure was ever restored. The problems were never ending and I was made to feel like it was me. Hazel was the only agent to be polite and sympathise with the matters. She listened and responded with manners, unlike Tracey and Martin. Tracey's email tone was appalling. If you were lucky to get a response it was always with a blunt sharp reply. If you had the pleasure of going into the shop you'd be greeted by a glare that started at your feet. Martin quickly lost his temper when I questioned why I had to pay for the 2 days rent I wasn't living in the property. I was told I had to hand my keys back on the Friday morning but the check out did not operate on weekends so it was booked for Monday. He reluctantly agreed, hung up the phone on me and I never heard from him again. Apart from the losing battle for a replacement on a 10 year old heavily stained carpet that apparently I contributed to damaging. It was non negotiable and if I was to see any of my deposit I had to accept the hefty charge. All in all it was an awful experience from start to finish. Rude, intimidating bullish owners/staff which caused a lot of anxiety and upset throughout the time I was a young female tenant. Avoid doing business with these people at all costs.... Read more

Beware of Tracey that works there ! 2 weeks ago she confirmed that our landlord wanted to renew the tenancy and we should be reassured to not be searching for another flat and now she popped up saying they want to sell and will not renew. I've been a tenant in London for the past eight years. I can categorically state that this was one of the greatest agencies I have ever worked with. Every issue we had was resolved, and the employees were always prompt in responding and addressing every single request we made. I would definitely recommend it, and if it weren't for my job, I would still be residing in that property. I have to mention that the customer service is outstanding, and in one occasion, when we forgot our house keys, the agents were really responsive and helpful, even during the weekend. It was by far my worst experience with an estate agent and I've rented for more than 10 years. I won't go into too many details - but mentioning just a couple of issues I had with them: broken promises (when showing the apartment, there were a couple of missing items which we've been promised will be there by the time we move - but they were never dealt with), issues with cleaning - they promised a professional cleaning - including carpet - when we moved it it was not even close - we asked for a proof - they have us a manual bill where they paid £70 for a 2 bedroom flat professional cleaning service (including carpets) -- what a joke! - I paid more than 300 when I moved out. Garage burgled 2 times. I improvised something so the garage door won't remain opened - but the agency didn't want to fix anything as apparently my improvisation was assessed by 2 security companies (without my knowledge) and the garage was secure. And the worst was - my kid got sick - very sick - and we thought it's from the water. We asked for a test - we've been asked to pay for it. We asked to see when was the last legionella testing done or the water tank cleaned. Obviously -very evasive response - ended up with them doing those whilst we were on the property out of fear of legal action. When a couple of days after moving in - my kid had a visible very severe reaction from the carpets (that were allegedly professionally cleaned) - an agent come to check the carpets and whilst they were visibly dirty - they just denied anything and said if we're not happy, to move out... Just a couple of many instances... Probably they are very good when things go smooth and you need nothing. When things go South.. the approach is absolutely ridiculous.... Read more

Honest, thorough, courteous and efficient... Having bought a property at the end of September 2019, we needed to refurbish it and then put it into the market for rental. Our problem was that we were not resident in the United Kingdom. I have been a tenant thru many state agencies but none of them can compare to Vincent & Chandler. The professionalism and the personalised treatment is second to none. I could not praise Martin and Tracey any higher and even if I could it still wouldn’t make them justice. There wasn’t an email whiteout a response, a phone call without a return or a concern/problem that haven’t been dealt smoothly and accordingly. They always go the extra 100 miles to deliver a good service and I couldn’t have asked for a better state agent. Martin is absolutely brilliant to work with in selling your property, we probably weren't the easiest people to work with in light of the long drawn out saga our buying and selling was however he made the process much easier. After our initial buyers pulled out (watch out for the Howards, absolute timewasters) he was very prompt in finding us new and authentic buyers. He showed a genuine interest unlike the other conveyor belt estate agents you find up and down the high street. When we have spoken with Jane in the office too, she has been very helpful We are very grateful for the hard work he put into selling our property and would no doubt use him again to sell our new house, although i don't want to go through that process again for a very long time!... Jane visited my property with and met the current tennant she gave the tenant so many tips and money savers so they wouldn’t loose money from their deposit - who knew white vinger was so effective! Don't even consider using anyone else in the Bromley area to sell your property! Vincent Chandler, and especially our agent Martin Gore simply provide an OUTSTANDING service! Courteous, highly efficient, communicative, hard working, patient. Martin really does have your best interests at heart rather than just wanting to make a sale. The sale process was not the easiest due to legal, lease and other issues, but Martin hung in there every step of the way and always communicated immediately there was good or bad news.
