The Lettings Team at KFH in Lee were fantastic. We had been let down by another agency before coming to KFH, and so needed a property as quickly as possible. The team were brilliant, they were quick to respond to emails and phone calls and no task was too big for them. We really needed our hands held and to be looked after and they did just that. I rang with the simple question of "Do you do probate valuations?" I could not get a straightforward answer. The employee, who had refrained from giving her name, wanted to know my property details, whether I intended selling through them, which road the property was in? On asking again "Do you do probate valuations?" I was still unable to get a straight forward reply. Wouldn't use them for anything after this. As if dealing with Probate isn't upsetting enough.

Many people are uncomfortable to leave a negative review with their names, however, our experience was so dreadful with this unprofessional agency that we would like to share it with others. The property we've recently bought was solely marketed by this agency so we didn't have a choice but to try and work with them. However, the whole office is unbelievably incompetent. First of all, your private details are handled carelessly resulting in us gaining regular access to their other clients' private data (both vendors and buyers) both via e-mail and postal letters. Think carelessly copied in e-mails from other clients, postal letters addressed to other clients attached to ours in the same envelope. Once could be a mistake but this happening numerous times via both methods raises serious concerns. Second, as we already had our mortgage sorted and our chain was very short and all freehold we requested the exchange date to be within 9 weeks from acceptance of offer (this is a perfectly acceptable amount of time) so we could avoid paying another 2.5 months of rental fee unnecessarily. Vanessa claimed that our request is impossible and set up the exchange date 10 weeks after the offer got accepted. Ironically, about 10 days before their chosen exchange date they started to harass us to exchange asap as everyone in the chain was apparently ready to sign immediately. When we refused to bring the dates ahead due to them being ignorant about our needs earlier we've been put under incredible and completely unnecessary pressure with their constant calls, e-mails (even to our solicitor to convince us!!) pushy attitude and agressive tactics. To the point, that I had to switch phone numbers for a week to avoid repeating ourselves the 10th time about our refusal of a last minute change of the date that they forced on us in the first place. And to the point that we got very close to pulling out of the whole purchase just to get rid of this horrible agency. No doubt, had we found another suitable property at that point we would have pulled out without thinking twice. Thirdly, despite all the stress they caused to try and bring the exchange date earlier last minute "due to everyone was ready", guess what.. on the named exchange day the exchange had to be cancelled due to the rest of the chain not even being ready with their paperwork. It's a wonder that the purchase actually happened in the end.

Horrendous experience... Extremely bad experience trying to buy a property through this agent. The process was very distressing as a first time buyer, no help support or guidance and the customer service was terrible. Because of agents such as the ones at this particular office, makes the process and experience of a first time buyer horrible and stressful. In my opinion they only consider your offers unless you are willing to take up mortgage advice and offers from their brokers, they "strategically" price properties in order to create a crazy bidding war between buyers and then lie to you! The agent I dealt was was obviously very inexperienced and very unprofessional and so was the manager. I have expressed my concerns to head office and advised that my complaint will be taken further and will be approaching the property ombudsman. I cant speak for all Bairstoweve offices But I would AVOID, AVOID, AVOID this particular office, if you are a first time buyer and want to be dealt with, with honesty and integrity! I will indeed be keeping an eye on Land Registry file for this particular property (in 3-6 months time) to see the outcome of this property sale was in line with what I was informed.

I'm really unsure why anyone gives Langford Russell 5 stars. I'm beyond frustrated and disappointed by the situation my husband and I have been through with them. We rented our home out for two years and paid a premium to Langford Russell to ensure we had decent tenants and that our home was taken care of. We recently moved back to the property and have been shocked by the amount of damage to the property and the battle we have to get even the smallest amount of the deposit back which at this rate, looks very unlikely. I never felt supported by Langford Russell at any point, apart from one member of the team, Robert who always replied to requests and did his best- thank you Robert. Unfortunately the rest of the team are useless. Our tenants smashed a window, destroyed our 100 year old original front door and the blind in the front room was damaged beyond repair. This is just the tip of the ice berg. I have no idea how they vet tenants or carry out inspections. I'm frustrated, upset and frankly so fed up and wanted to give some honest feedback for future customers to consider.
