27th Sep 2019 (6 years ago)Unprofessional, dishonest, complete luck of understanding of personal circumstances. Ryan was showing me the property and he was very nice and professional, however foe a week I was told that I would get the answer to my offer today. In stead of saying that they have lined up someone for a property Niamh has lied about not being able to get in touch with a landlady for over 10 days and suddenly when new people made an offer she was asking what my offer was and managed to get hold of the landlady (apparently she was trying every day, but how could she if apparently she didn't know what my offer was?!). I was lucky enough to find actually a better property with an estate agency who is in completely different league (premier) and Proctor (in Chatterton Village) doesn't belong to any.
8th Jul 2023 (3 years ago)Proctors are very nice nice and friendly to deal with. However, my only criticism is that the photos of my flat were not professionally done. I have today seen a £1,600,000 house advertised by Proctors and the photos are in a totally different class. Admittedly when it was first listed I had not done away with lots of furniture etc and it now looks much better, however, I didn't find the photos good enough and my family and friends agree on this. As most agents use professional photographers I find this was a mistake on their part. But please do not mention my name to them. But they do know this area and my building so that is in favour of them.
11th Apr 2025 (1 year ago)Our property was valued too high and went out to their database too high even though we questioned it. When it went online it was missing filters, so wasn’t pulling through with garden (which wasn’t spotted for 3 weeks) and went on as a terrace not a semi-detached. Both detrimental to getting the right viewings. Selling points about our property didn’t seem to be passed on to the people showing the property, and it was not always the same person viewing. I sent a pdf over so that agents could use this to sell the property (off my own back) with information like - new boiler & boiler location, new flooring etc.. it was never used (I was waiting outside for the last viewing we did with them and was asked where the boiler was! lol) Once the wrong key was brought so they couldn’t get in.

They have taken time to understand the complications regarding the sale and have provided good sound advice. They are all friendly, polite and professional and we are very pleased with their service. We now have a buyer at a decent price and we hope the sale will proceed smoothly.

2nd Jan 2026 (7 mo. ago)Enquired 3/11/25 about a rental property at Albany Ct., Bromley Rd., Shortlands that had caught my eye on Rightmove. Instead of being able to speak directly to a human being at their office I was sent an online form via SMS to complete(!). So I duly filled in the form and submitted, fully expecting somebody to have the courtesy to respond. Nobody ever did. Chased it up via a ‘phone call their Southborough Lane, Bromley office 9 days later where I left my details and nature of enquiry to be passed on. Again, nobody ever got back to me. Just the other week I noticed that the property has since been let. Questionable customer ethos and strikes me as a strange way to run a business if they are going to simply ignore prospective tenants?

22nd Jan 2025 (1 year ago)Awful! We put our property on the market, they came round and took photos on an "iPhone, we were expecting a professional photographer. Some were so bad we retook them ourselves. The write-up was no better, we had to reword and add details to it. We weren't asked to complete the money laundering check, which is unlawful. We had one viewing, we were expecting Martin, but his wife turned up saying he had fallen out of bed and couldn't do it???? She was clueless regarding our property and very unprofessional. He forgot conversations, didn't respond to text/answerphone messages and lied to me about being away. He works from home and has one employee, plus his wife. It's noticeable they only have three/four properties on their books at the moment. Avoid

Although we had a very long buying process (due to issues with the length of lease, and share of freehold ownership - which were down to the seller) Lewis was always on the other side of the phone, and worked his socks off to get the deal done. I really felt that he went above and beyond what most estate agents would be willing to do. Very human, very responsive and working with Lewis made the transaction much more pleasant. Would highly recommend their services.

From my very first meeting, the team: Chris & Aidan was professional, responsive, and proactive, making the whole process smooth and stress-free.<br><br>My property had previously been on the market with another estate agent (Acorn) for around 16 months. Although they found two buyers, both sales fell through because they were part of property chains that ultimately collapsed.<br><br>What I still struggle to understand is why, after the first chain collapsed, another buyer who was also part of a chain was recommended rather than prioritising a first-time buyer or someone in a stronger position to proceed. While I appreciate that no estate agent can guarantee a successful transaction, this approach left me feeling that an important lesson had not been learned from the first failed sale.<br><br>You can only imagine how stressful and emotionally draining the entire process was after investing so much time, only for two sales to fall through.<br><br>BR Estate Agent completely changed my experience. They secured a committed first time buyer at the very first viewing, and exactly three months later the sale was completed successfully. Their communication throughout the process was outstanding, and I always felt well informed and supported.<br><br>I'm extremely grateful for their hard work, professionalism and dedication.
