Contacted William H Brown about potentially renting out our house. Spoke to Lene who was helpful and receptive. There was a time pressure for us and she responded brilliantly. She squeezed in an appointment for the next day then rang me back to offer me a cancellation for the same day. It was just the help we needed.
I found our appointment comfortable and informative. Lene was easy to talk to and responded to questions really clearly. She promised to write it all down in an email which we would receive very shortly after. It all happened as Lene promised.

Rented through william h browns dereham when I left the property the landlords no longer would deal with browns for the new tenants due to poor organisation of new tenants, then trying to get my deposit back to be told wrong information twice of what was required of me, provided what they asked for then never heard back for over a week so contacted again to be told I needed something different this time provided within the hour and never heard back to any emails no confirmation nothing just ignored and recieved money in my account 5 days later such poor communication wouldn't deal with them to buy my new home, useless

Terrible service. Put in asking price offer on Acacia Avenue bungalow on a Saturday,heard nothing phoned office on Monday and was told bungalow seller wanted to buy had been taken off market, but "they were working on it as we speak". Nothing said about my offer being accepted or not. 6weeks later recieve call to say seller had now found another bungalow and they were ready to proceed.Tony seemed most surprised when I said it was too late . I had put in offer on another property which had been accepted and we were 3weeks down the line. He said no one had told him, well if someone had been in touch with me over the 6weeks he would have found out.

Personally, I have had a poor service and if I was renting again I wouldn't use them. Remember you can legally have your your actual landlords address always get that and deal directly far easier in my opinion

Absolutely awful company to deal with. We rented a flat, they where very quick to take deposit money however cpmpletly ignored us about arranging to collect keys. Also had issues during the tenancy such as not giving us keys to read our electric meter. No staff turned up to show potential next tennants the flat so i had random people showing up to look around and i was answering questions about the place - doing their job for them. We moved out 2 1/2 months ago and have been given the run around about out deposit money, currently still trying to get it back with every time them saying it should be with you by the end of the week. This experience has ensured I will never touch anything to do with w h brown again.

Sadly we have not had a good experience. Lettings side were not good at communicating with prospective tenants, and their lack of explanation over renting a smaller home and the Zero Deposit Scheme has caused us far too much stress than is necessary at the end of our lives.

Anybody who looks into Old Quarry Court beware that they have a rat problem running in the loft and under the kitchen as it is a rat run threw out the whole block, and there is mould threw out number 10. Not only that the water bills are extremely high and you can't get it fixed as the person who owns the land will not get back to you. i have photos to prove it.As me and a flat mate lived there for over 3 years. We only moved out July this year.

Communication is terrible , have contacted three times to get an answer relating to a property and 7 days later still no phone call back with an update ( obviously can't be bothered to do their job? ) .Customer service training and a courtesy course is definitely needed for this branch! Awful customer service (if it exists at all) from WH Brown Dereham. We viewed several properties via the branch on Saturday 4th June. Cain did the viewings. We then offered on 6 The Maltings on the Monday. Heard back from Jason a couple of days later that our offer had been declined. We increased our offer on Thursday 9th and, despite several phone calls chasing them up and speaking to Cain, Joe and Jason, we have heard nothing back. All they say is they haven't heard back from the client. REALLY!!!!! We haven't even received confirmation in writing that our offers have even been put forward. I understand that under the Estate Agency Act that we should have had this confirmation within 24 hours of submitting the offers. It is now Sunday 26th June and we're still waiting. We haven't even had calls to say they're still waiting. Each time I've called them it's been "we'll chase the client and get back to you". But I've heard nothing. The only reason there's one star is that it won't let me post a zero star rating. I really would like to see what the area manager thinks of this. Is something underhand going on???

I was completely mislead from the start with my purchase and communication was terrible, I was never called back when promised and had to make all the calls. I think this indifferent attitude to my offer was due to the fact there was already a deal on the table, (a lesser offer than mine) - which I was informed of right at the end. Fake 'bidding wars' are the norm now i guess.

We recently used the services of Sam, Trainee Estate Agent at Wiillam H. Brown, Dereham to rent a property in Holt. We saw the advert for the property and contacted Sam. Seeing the advert, we viewed a 'walk around' video, completed the tenancy application, paid the deposit and the property was removed from the website all within 90 mins of contacting Sam. We met him a couple of days later at the property and were exceptionally impressed by the young man's professionalism. He was courteous and able to answer all our questions re the property. Highly recommended Sam and WHB.

Asked to be taken off their website and took over a month to be taken off, after several phone calls and emails. Ended up going to a different estate agents which have been 10 times better. I am a buyer and made two offers on a property but only received one written confirmation of the first, lower offer placed. I was never contacted for viewing feedback and when I got into with the residential sales manager Chris four days after my second (unconfirmed?) offer I was told that it wasnt a accepted. What's the Code of Conduct here? To use one person's offer to try to ladder up higher offers and no communication? I expected a dialogue via the agent with the seller at the very least. Very disappointing and felt uneasy about lack of transparency.

Just had to give this company only one star as they have been no help at all to me since March 2020 in trying to sell my house. I have not had any viewings in that 4 month period and they have not contacted me since May. I am currently try to get my property removed from their Web site but they ignore my emails and phone calls. They way over priced my house which didn't help matters as 3 others in my road have sold already over the same period of time. Sorry chap's but you need more training at selling house's, oh and get a decent photographer while you're at it. That may help you.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. After receiving confirmation of a viewing, the estate agent didn't even show up! And when I rang them the following day, the first response is "well did the Tennant not let you in and show you round?" are you joking? Do you not know what your job role entailes? The most unprofessional, worst communicated and unapologetic company I've ever known. Rang a different company that night asking for a view which I've got the next day. Would not recommend William H Brown at all. Don't waste your time on a company that doesn't care about its customers.

Trying to rent a property with this branch seems like trying to get blood from a stone.
Promised call backs and told they have left me voice messages yet no missed calls or a single voice message. This has happened 4 times now!!!!
Offered to take a property with no viewing and yet they still didn't call us back.. Quizzed them on why the lack of service and just got the response of "we can't see them notes" and palmed it off.
Not sure if I would rent from these guys as a simple phone call back and communication is too much for them.

I will never, ever rent through William H Brown again! Absolute shambles!! It was lies, alot of stress and a pain to move into the property..and getting your deposit back although the landlord has sent a confirmation email.....oh we still haven't got that and we moved a month ago! They are absolutely useless and just seem to have an excuse for everything!! Avoid at all costs as it is not worth the stress!!

Very dissapointed with William H Brown in Dereham. Our landlord gave the estate agent dealing with the rented property a list of requirements which we never received. On this list of requirements it stated what walls we cannot drill into due to water mains etc. We didnt no who our eletric supplier was I had to find out. Its all been a shambles and guessing game. They also dont get back to you when they say they will and our property hasnt had hot water for 2 weeks. This is still an ongoing issue. I am very dissapointed with william H Brown and there customer service. Never again will I go through William H Brown.

Very unhappy with the customer service received by this branch. After asking to be contacted via email, I received continuous phonecalls and voicemails during my work hours, which I find inappropriate. Also, after being asked what sort of property we were looking for, continued sending properties that didn't match any description that we listed. The final straw was cancelling a viewing half an hour before we were due to attend, via voicemail, as again, I was at work. This late notice I found unnecessary, especially since my partner was already enroute to the property. This estate agents seem to care more about the commission than their customers wants/needs. Will not use this estate agent unless it is out last resort.

Highly recommended!!! I sold my house in Scarning through this office and I couldn't have asked for a more professional service. Nick came out initially and prepared a stunning set of details, with professional photography and floorplan etc. They them arranged an Open House at which we had 15 people come round and received 5 offers!!! This branch are border line stalkers do not ever buy or sell a property with them. I've lost count how many pestering calls I have received off them in the past 18 months. Each time telling them to not call me again and they call again.
Will now be seeking advice to complain to there regulatory body.

Where to start ? Absolute hopelessness from start to finish. I viewed a property in Shipdham, I made a few offers until I got one accepted by the seller, who was also aware that I had a place to sell, and was happy to go forward even on the basis that I had not yet received a firm offer for my house. I received some documentation from Tony oulds at the Dereham office which was basically a letter of acceptance to sell to me, along with their usual glossy old spiel. two days later (and only because I had checked on rightmove) I gathered that the property had a sold subject to contract notice beside it, meaning that the seller had sold to someone else without Dereham office informing me! I emailed Dereham office and explained that I did not think this was very professional, and not a single reply from them ? in particular Tony oulds who comes across as so professional, but really shines through in situations such as this. I've had to give them one star, which is so begrudging, I would never want to hear from this greedy unprofessional shower of uselessness again in my life, and if you are reading this Dereham office, buck up ! and start treating people like customers, you are a disgrace to the industry.
