James came to value my mum’s property after her death. He was really nice and understanding that I needed a valuation for probate. He said he would email me a quote that night. After waiting for 3 days I rang. Wasn’t able to speak to James but the message I was given was that I would have it my midday. As I didn’t receive an email I popped into the Hellesdon office to check he had the right email address. The staff in there said they work until 7pm that night and ask him to send if after he got back from another valuation. Still not received valuation after another 2 days. Sent him 2 emails, 1 so he had my email address and the other to ask to call me if there were any problems. No response.
I really find this so unprofessional, especially as I was honest with him when I booked the appointment for a probate valuation.
If he can’t be bothered as the property isn’t ready to be sold. I would rather he tell me not ignore me. It is stressful enough without having to deal with unprofessional people.

Today's house viewing experience with Joe William H Brown Hellesdon was truly impressive. I am grateful for his patience in accommodating my tardiness and allowing a second visit. He meticulously opened every door, granting me the freedom to explore both the house and the garden. Moreover, he utilized a smartphone to ensure accurate directions and provided thorough answers to my inquiries. Joe also attentively listened to my questions and reasoned with care. Willam H Brown at Reepham Road handled our recent house purchase. Adam and his team went above and beyond in patiently talking us through the entire process. They filled in our knowledge gaps when the Conveyancing solicitor was unclear. They provided additional support beyond their 'paid for' tasks - such as printing and scanning material for us which made the whole process less painful. When the sale completed Adam came around to our new house to congratulate us and to deliver a 'welcome to your new home' hamper which was a wonderful touch, as was the handwritten card from all tame members at the branch. I was genuinely worried about the whole process but William H Brown under Adam and his team at the Reepham branch really delivered and ensured the stress level were kept in check throughout! Originally called up for a listing that had been added on rightmove about half an hour prior to my call, turns out the lady who is in charge of the listing has totally disappeared. I contacted them again later that day alongside twice the day after and she wasn't in. Contacted them yesterday to put myself forward for the property, they've tried to call me today while i was at work, i called back not even a minute of missing their call and the woman who called me was already on another phone call. I asked to be called back at quarter past 11 (which i wasn't), so i called up and she's out of office again? I have only talked to this lady once and spoke to her colleague (matthew? Mark? Honestly can't remember his name) pretty much everytime i've called. Honestly wouldn't waste my time on this estate agents, they show clearly that they are incapable of holding accountability for their listings and those who are interested in their listings. I've still not even been told what the initial phonecall i missed was about either, just something as simple as an email, text or a courtesy call back to explain is better than just simple going "oh, they've not answered.. oh well, their loss". Its downright rude and disrespectful and i hope the two people in this estate agents have this fed back to them because there is alot to be desired in the service they've provided. Been beyond put off this property and any other property they look to offer.

I would like to highly recommend this branch and would like to give special mention to both Dianne and Mark, who have been fantastic. WH Brown answer the phone and call back promptly (not to be taken for granted). They have been proactive in finding interested potential buyers from the off.
We have had two buyers fall through, one after 5 months into the process which has been devastating. Dianne and Mark have got right on it and found us a new buyer straight away. They have listened to me completely loose the plot and stayed unbelievably patient, taken care of negotiations and provided honest and helpful advice.
I strongly recommend them!

Top quality service from William H Brown, Hellesdon. I would particularly like to recommend Joseph Chandler who went above and beyond in sourcing a mortgage for us. Joseph talked us through the whole process and always had time for any questions. Diane was very helpful on helping to keep me calm when we hit the inevitable homebuying hitches. Looking back it all went very smoothly although it felt bumpy at the time. There is definitely a benefit in doing everything with William H Brown.

I cannot fault these guys, I was buying my first house and as you can imagine absolutely pooping myself. I used the mortgage services as well and again brilliant. The property I ended up buying was one I’d originally said no too but the guys suggested I take a look as it ticked all of my boxes - guess what? It did! Diane and Mark in particular did us a great service in selling our house. They priced it at a realistic price and stated 'offers over' . At the time we wondered if that was what we wanted and then to have an 'open day' on the first day of our holiday away from home seemed bazaar to us, as we had never experienced this before. It transpired that they were 100% right, in both their pricing and their hands on selling and we are forever endebted to them for their sheer professionalism and understanding. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! This is so bad you probably won’t believe it. Never ever again will I consider using William H Brown!!!! Absolutely disgusted with the service and shocked how unprofessional Diane was when it came to dealing with my complaint.
1. I was told by the salesman that the property would be sold through the Norwich branch, (I was particularly happy about this as it was explained to me that this branch had far more resources to sell at a higher price and much faster than the smaller branches which have only two staff to deal with this) yet it was transferred to the Hellesdon branch.
2. WHB Forgot to market the property for 3 weeks until I notified the Norwich branch.
3. To my amazement, somehow, they missed key benefits of the property and that it was to be sold as OIEO as discussed, taking three attempts to get it right via email before going live. Ultimately, I had to point out the important missing features on the marketing material, when in fact I should be the one being advised.
4. After completion the buyers spoke to me face to face, explaining they were never made aware of the garden to the right elevation of the property or to the left of the drive way and that the boundaries of the property were never pointed out on their viewings. If I had known this while in the negotiation stages, then obviously I could have come in with a counter offer or refuse the offer of £120,500 while at the same time explaining that they are not just getting the garden to the front elevation but also the garden to the right elevation, which can easily be used as a private garden if a fence it erected as there are no windows overlooking. This shows there was clearly scope for negotiating a considerably higher price than £120,500.
5. I then researched local estate agents for similar flats, this is when I found a 1 bed flat on Pyehurn Mews with exactly the same layout and a very similar sized rear garden that completed with KT Estate Agents for £135,000. Again, this shows there was clearly scope for negotiating a considerably higher price than £120,500.
6. When I called the Hellesdon branch and spoke with Diane explaining. Before I had a chance to finish, Diane became aggressively defensive, denying my claims, insinuating that my mother was a liar (as she heard the same from the buyers) and immediately threated me with debt recovery instructions. I was overwhelmed with this approach and the conversation soon ended with a debt collection threat. Like any other customer complaint to a business, I was expecting to be able to have a conversation about my experiences, then for Diane to at the very least say something to the effect of “I will look into this before I pass comment and I will be in touch shortly”. Because this did not happen, there has not been any conversation to attempt to resolve my complaint, only legal threats.
7. The next working day I had a debt recovery company chasing me.
8. I have potentially lost a few thousand pounds for the incompetence of the Hellesdon branch.

I highly recommend the Hellesdon branch of William H Brown. All the staff have been so kind and helpful with their support and advice and listening. On Diane's 1st visit, she clearly explained the process of costings even the offer to contact their conveyancing lawyers as we didn't have our own. It made the process so simple even though this included us using a Power of Attorney. Maddie helped me greatly where computers were involved and getting the property details all sorted for us. Mark is brilliant, just a phone call to their branch with my concerns as to whether I had completed and included relevant documents for the conveyancing people. He told me to call in and he would check them for me. This was really appreciated. An excellent company who are genuinely there to help and guide people in what is most of the time a very stressful period.

If you could leave zero stars I would. Shocking service from start to finish. Unless you are prepared to use all of there over prices services then they do not want to help you, even if you are buying a house through them.
It is no wonder that Mark Spiers has worked in so many offices because his communication skill are unbelievable. Waiting days for replys even though he had said he would call. Even lied to the vendors about our surveyor coming to view the property. Turns out Mark got the wrong day but lucky for me I kept an email trail to prove that Mark had got the wrong day. Never an apology though!! Promising replys on a Saturday even though he's not even in the office. Even chasing me as a buyer and lying to me about contacting my solicitor to find out what's going on with the sale as he has not got a clue.
Libby is obviously straight out of university. Nice girl but not a clue about the housing market and what things actually cost.
If you are looking to sell please go elsewhere. We got quotes 2.4% through Whbrown. They where mega pushy. Decided to go with Williams Way. Paid 1% and sold straight away with excellent customer service.
Dont waste your time or money people. Please shop around. It's stressful enough without dealing with these clowns.

Wouldn't bother going to whbrown young boy who came round to value house wasn't very helpful he quoted us 91,000 less then abbotts, iconic and yopa (abbotts,iconic and yopa all quoted the same price)
