We recently bought our lovely house through Williams, and found them to be very friendly and helpful.
Ben showed us around three properties. He listened to what we said, and quickly tuned in to what we wanted.
During the course of the purchase we revisited the property two or three times, and the Williams team were always friendly and obliging.
The icing on the cake was when they very kindly came to my rescue when I locked myself out of the house shorly after moving in.

Oh my word, what can we say, this team are amazing. We unfortunately lost a property sale that we were buying on the island recently and we came over last week to look at other properties. We had a block viewing with Ben, who added more properties in as we were viewing others to give us extra variety and choice of properties that he had available. We went off to view other properties, but Ben called us to ask if we would humour him and look at a final property with him that evening after our other viewings. We did, we loved the property, we viewed again the following day. We then proceeded to put an offer in the day after, which was accepted, even before the property had been launched on the open market. We trust the team, and are hopeful that this sale will go through smoothly, meaning that we get to live on this beautiful island in the very near future.

My experience as a tenant has been appalling. I have been left on read by email for repairs since March 2024. After the updated tests for electric we have now no power in sockets and are trying to contact by phone with no answer this morning. Kitchen cupboards are very old and worn falling off which need replacing due to the wood no longer holding the screws in place, children at home that they could fall on. Step outside needs concreting, could have been repaired but has been left for months. Everything feels unsafe and yet rent increased. I feel completely ignored as a tenant because I used to be private and was passed on by landlord who we have been very good tenants to. Toilet is still not repaired since Christmas I have to lift the lid to get it to fill. No communication between staff to inform me of the new account to pay into for the agents then I get a call why they didn’t get the rent I had paid into old account that agent had said hadnt changed when I asked. Agent was more interested that I had houseplants in a condescending manner when I informed them of repairs in person before signing contract. I don’t often leave reviews like this, but it has been a awful experience since they took the property on from private rent. Tenant of 8 years in this property

After 20 years of renting wootton estate agents is without any doubt the best my family have dealt with. Matthew on the lettings team is professional, friendly and efficient.
Unlike the majority of other estate agents you can genuinely tell they have respect for the tenant and do not look down their nose at them.
Any problems with the house has always been fixed within a few days and sometimes hours.
Other agents need to start taking notes on how wootton estate runs.

We invited Ben from Wootton estate agents in to my home for moving advice and was put at ease from the start. My wife and I didn't think we were in a position to move but after a conversation realised not only that we could move but we were in a much better position than we realised. The moving procedure was explained in great detail including all the costs, all the positives and the pitfalls. Wootton estate agent team returned a week later to take photos and market our property, they gave us that period of time to just make sure it's what we wanted to do and it was, so our property was put up for sale. 24 hours later it was sold we are now living our forever/dream home and we couldn't be happier. If we hadn't of contacted Wootton Esstate agents we will still be in our old home thinking about what could've been. Thank you Wootton estate agents you took the stress out of moving house, they also put us in contact with an excellent financial advisor, solicitor and removal firm. I can highly recomend and if we were to move again We wouldn't use anybody else.

My offer was accepted. All was going well until 6 WEEKS LATER was told bungalow was in probate. Myself and my buyer decided to wait. My buyer pulled out after waiting nearly 6 months. Once wootton agents was informed and probate came through the sellers pulled out. I asked if they would WAIT A WEEK OR TWO as I had viewings lined up and the reply was NO. I LOST MY BUYER, and the bungalow I had waited for . Bungalow was re sold next day, with a price increase. DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY. CHECK EVERYTHING

Our first experience of Wootton Estates was when we purchased our bungalow seven years ago. We first noticed our home in Wootton, because we spotted a Wootton Estates ‘For Sale’ board. We viewed the property several times and were never pressurised into making any decisions. Ann was able to provide helpful information about the bungalow, which was empty and being sold by executors. Wootton Estates helped us through negotiating to a final purchase price. We have lived there happily since 2013 and later my mother-in-law came to live just a few doors away.
When my mother-in-law eventually needed to move into a nursing home, we decided to rent out her bungalow to help with the fees. Wootton Estates quickly found ideal tenants for us, who cared for the property very well. We were also pleasantly surprised by the rental value that Wootton Estates achieved. While the bungalow was rented, Wootton Estates provided excellent support as the managing agents, helping us to liaise with our tenants over any minor repairs, or replacements that were needed.
After my Mother-in-law's death, Wootton Estates dealt sensitively with our new situation and helped us to liaise with the tenants about extending their tenancy. Last summer, Wootton Estates valued the bungalow for sale. Ben advised us of a suggested sale price and produced a video tour of the property when it went on sale, with which we were very pleased. They then dealt very well with all the additional complications of arranging viewings during a pandemic. Their understanding of the local property market was shown when the bungalow was quickly sold for the full asking price. Their support continued throughout the sale process – keeping everyone in touch and providing information about the progress of the sale.
Having met the whole team over the years, through buying, renting and finally selling a property, we would certainly recommend Wootton Estates for their professional, supportive and efficient service.

They put our house in Ryde on the market on a Wednesday. The Thursday they showed 9 people around. On the Friday we'd had 3 sensible offers!

Fantastic service from start. Sophie was fantastic at getting us moved into our rental in Wootton safely and swiftly given the covid-19 circumstances. The referencing system used with 'Vouch' is easy and accessible and keeps you informed of progress and after an accidental lock in situation, Ben was very understanding on the phone and came out to let us out within the hour.

I first contacted Wootton Estate Agents at a time when my aunt was considering moving into a flat. Ben gave us some very helpful advice at the time on a range of options but suggested we take time and not rush into it. It was good advice and when she later decided to move into a home I went straight back to Wootton Estates to sell the house. I live in the North of England so I relied very heavily on Ben and Sarah to handle everything for me. The sale turned out to be anything but straightforward with many twists and turns and could easily have fallen through on a number of occasions but Wootton Estates always acted swiftly to resolve issues. I found that both Ben and Sarah gave me honest opinions and very good advice at all stages and I am confident that they were always fully "in my corner". I cannot praise them highly enough, not only do they clearly know their business, they are always completely professional, somehow keeping calm and friendly whatever the challenges. Wootton Estates are a breath of fresh air when it comes to Estate Agency. My brother and I first bought a couple of properties through them about 12 years ago and have bought and sold several more. We are developers and large scale investors from the mainland who love the Isle of Wight. We met Ben the owner of the agency, during our first purchase and he has helped us with many others, giving good and impartial advice even when we were looking at properties which were not on his agents' books. Prior to this most recent transaction Wootton Estates assisted with the sale of development of Barn conversions in Chillerton in 2014.
They have just completed the sale of 2 holiday homes in Wootton Bridge, the second one going through on Friday. Not huge deals by any means but Wootton Estates still gave 100% during the process, helping with the occasional repair job and some storage requirements as the deals were progressing, enabling us to turn the properties round very quickly after putting them on the market. Keep up the good work. We will be back for more!

Replies to questions were rapid and accurate; nothing was too much trouble. They didn't just go the "extra mile", they did the entire marathon. We were first time buyers purchasing a property through Wootton Estate Agents. From our very first meeting with Sarah, who showed us around the property, we received exceptional service. I cannot recommend her and the estate agents highly enough. She went above and beyond for us, helping push the sale through to meet our tight deadline. She liaised with our solicitor whom we had problems with, was available to help at any time of day and never made us feel like we were putting her out at all. The office has a warm and friendly atmosphere and all the staff we dealt with were equally helpful. We really do not know what we would have done without Sarah's help and if not for her I do not think we would be in our property now, 5 and a half weeks after we first viewed it.

Wootton Estate Agents have been fantastic as the management company taking care of my flat that is above my shop. I have had some terrible experiences with renting my flat out including a dog with fleas and the police breaking down the front door... Almost at the point of selling, I decided to give Wootton Estate Agents a try and what a solution it has been. For a small monthly fee, they dealt with finding someone suitable, checking references and contracts. The couple have been superb in the flat and have just extended their contract for another year. Wootton are always on hand to chat if required and I have recommended them to friends that are also looking to rent. Please give them a try :)
