WOW!! What can I say that would do justice to Zest Homes & Lettings Ltd., based at Herne Bay Kent.
From my very first contact, with Sales Manger, Michelle we have received nothing but tip-top support from the team.
Following our very first query, in respect of seeking a potential long-term rental property, within minutes, we were sent through, by email, a plethora of potential lettings and this has been maintained on a regular basis throughout our search.
Clearly, Zest Homes Ltd., has displayed a much higher level of professionalism to some of the other agencies we contacted, where responses took several days or as we encountered in respect of one agency, no return contact was received at all!!.
All in all, therefore, Zest Homes Sales and Lettings Ltd., proved absolutely Top Notch and as such, are an Agency that from our experience, has showed itself to be Second To None!
This review is totally unsolicited and has been written purely on my/our own recent personal experience.

If you are looking for a new home then, Michelle and the team at Zest are my 100% recommendation! From enquiry to move in was under a month, we needed things dealt with quickly and efficiently and that’s exactly what the team done. We had a viewing on a Sunday at short notice which is just unheard of and the house was cleaned top to bottom before we moved in. I honestly couldn’t ask for more.
As a tenant these guys were faultless, as a future landlord, I am already convinced that Zest Homes will be the guys I trust with my home!

The initial experience we had with zest was fantastic but unfortunately communication fell short. We were not updated weekly as we were informed we would be.
There were also spelling mistakes in our advert on right move and Zoopla.
Unfortunately for this reason, I cannot at this time recommend zest.
Michelle is a lovely lady, she has a great aura and approach, I think we may have been unlucky as it seems her normal standard is high.

We bought a rental flat through Zest Homes in Herne Bay completing in April 2023. We still deal with them regularly due to maintenance of building and finalising of Superior lease. We mainly deal directly with the owner Michelle Rielly, but also with her assistant Christine. They are both extremely helpful, but Michelle goes that extra mile to make sure, she has done her very best to get an issue solved ASAP. If she is not available, she always gets back to you immediately when she is.
When we viewed the property originally. She gave us potential rental figures, which were higher than we expected. As it turned out we had many offers for the rental asking price, so we are extremly happy with her valuation & services and Zest Homes has our best recommendations.

We completed on our home back in March and couldn’t be happier. What an emotional roller coaster that was as first time buyers! Chris and Michelle were amazing and helped us through this complicated process. I remember there was one point when the sale almost fell through after being mis-advised by our initial mortgage broker. I called Chris at the brink of tears and she literally said ‘leave it with the me darling, we’ll see what we can do’. The most comforting and reassuring words that I didn’t know I needed to hear at the time. She referred us to Jade who is literally mortgage broker extraordinaire. The process was by no means straightforward but Zest homes and Jade were there every step of the way and always answered our never ending questions. I purchased a house that I really wanted, as everyone knows buying a new home is one of the most stressful experiences one can go through, zest homes were amazing and ensured that through out the purchase they informed me of the progress every step of the way!

After shopping around and contacting several local lettings agencies, Michelle at Zest Homes was by far the best person for the job.
Michelle was friendly, intelligent and always put my needs first; the other agencies had none of these qualities.
Within 1 week she had arranged 6 viewings and closed the deal for new tenants to move into my property, dealing with all the paperwork.
As with any new let, there are teething problems. Michelle dealt with these immediately and kept me informed at all times.

Zest as letting agents were fantastic. Not so the landlord or referencing agency that they employ. I would say prospective tenants deserve the right to not deal with landlords who care more about “renter’s insurance” rather than “having paid rent on time, earning good salary, having good references”. Otherwise tenants are viewing homes where their time is going to be wasted.
My application was rejected with the standard excuse that insurance will not allow cover. I believe the referencing process is open to discrimination. My name is an Asian, Muslim name and having 2 kids with a wife all goes against me when presented to a landlord. I have suffered discrimination against me all my life and this is too obvious for me to see. If I was rejected on the basis of poor references from landlord, employer, etc. I would respect that. However, I was rejected on the basis of “landlord’s insurance” which for me is gross injustice. The stars I have given are solely because the staff are the most polite, professional, kind women I have dealt with. However, the referencing agency they have employed and the landlord’s expectations are worthy of a negative review. I went through anxiety, stress and sheer disappointment when at the last minute landlord changed his mind.

Amazing also the service received for the rental management, and the sale, every step of the process followed and chased always with professional approach.

I have personally worked alongside Michelle & her team on Two chains that we have been selling at the top of. We are New Build and therefore related sales need careful and considered dealings in order to keep the chain progressing towards exchange and legal completions.
Michelle & the team have always been there to take our calls, help with controlling and sorting potentially difficult situations and, even when situations have not been easy, we have all talked and worked together to get where we need to be.

The conveyance was protracted and somewhat tricky but Michelle was fantastic at keeping her end of the chain together and we had constant updates and communication between our two estate agencies.
