Would certainly not recommend. After transferring money to their account as a deposit for a flat, the offer got declined almost immediately, which meant that I paid unnecessary bank fees for the foreign account transfer. This was inconvenient, but the possibility of that happening was stated in the contract, so I respected that. However, the real problems occurred when they were supposed to give the money back. First they said that they would not return the whole sum because of the bank fees that were involved in a foreign account transfer. As I did not want to lose any more money, I asked if there was any other way of getting it, for example going to their office personally to get it in cash. To this option they said no, but they offered to send me a check, which I agreed with. After receiving the check, I went to the bank only to find out that I can not cash it in because I do not have a Barclays bank account. So I called their office and got a very rude answer, the guy started arguing with me that I should have known that that was the way the check worked, even though they have sent it knowing very well that I do not have a UK bank account. Anyway, after this they told me they would get the cash for me and that I will have to get it personally. So I said fine and told them I would get there sometime during next week during their office hours. No reply. I got there, during the office hours, and the office was empty. In the end I just ended up setting up a UK bank account because I ran out of patience. It has cost me money and a lot of time when dealing with Alexanders, which is ridiculous if you consider that I only wanted my deposit back. Terrible customer service, once they got the money they just stopped caring. Sorry for the long post, had to be said. Maybe it will make you think twice before doing business with them.
