As a potential buyer we have been very impressed by the service given by Henry Lines at Cooper and Tanner . His communication via email has been perfect, clear and honest and really helpful - when he did a viewing with us he was giving just the right amount of information. Sadly someone made an offer on the house we wanted to buy before we were in the position to do so - but he let us know straight away . And is on the look out for similar properties for us.

We had an excellent experience with Cooper and Tanner, and in particular with Hayley Browning, who supported us throughout our home purchase.
Going into the process, I always expected estate agents to primarily act in the seller’s interest, but that really wasn’t our experience with Hayley. She was fair, transparent, and genuinely invested in helping us move things forward, which made a huge difference.
Compared to our previous attempts to buy a property—which dragged on for six months and only reached the enquiry stage—this experience couldn’t have been more different. Hayley was incredibly proactive, responsive, and focused from the outset. She understood our urgency and worked tirelessly to keep everything on track, coordinating effectively between all parties involved. Thanks to her dedication, we were able to complete the purchase in just over six weeks.
It’s hard to overstate just how critical Hayley’s efforts were. Beyond her professionalism, she was also personable, approachable, and an absolute delight to work with throughout. She made what can often be a stressful process feel smooth and manageable.
We would highly recommend Cooper and Tanner, and especially Hayley, to anyone looking to buy a property.

Cooper and Tanner Lettings Ltd were employed by our Landlord to oversee the serving of a section 21 notice (submitted for no reason by the landlord other than he wanted to raise the rent by 25%). This was delayed as we had to involve environmental health due to damp, mould, rats and broken hinges on windows.
Caroline Peebles-Brown was initially supportive, stating that we had done our best to maintain the property and it was in much better condition than the landlord had suggested - although the landlord (Colin Leach) had not redcorated, recarpeted or repaired any of the property for our 9 year tenure. She also confirmed that any damage to colouring of the walls was due to age and not nicotine (neither of us smoked).
Her stance soon changed and we felt that she had been devious in her initial approach with us. The section 21 notice was issued as soon as possible (after a long list of jobs to be completed had been submitted by environmental health). Both my housemate and I are clased as vulnerable due to illness and this was never considered or taken into account.
Having no choice but to request a subject access request regarding the use of our personal data, we received copies of specific emails between Caroline and the landlord, colluding together regarding the return of our deposit.
Although this company acted as our agents for only a short period (and I believe no longer act on behalf of the landlord), they were deceitful, inconsiderate, more concerned with completing the list of jobs given to them by enviromental health than considering our mental health (we had workmen arrive at short notice and on the weekends) and were unprofessional.
If you are a tenant looking to rent a property through this company, I would wait until the new legislation comes in, early next year.
