We had a poor experience of trying to buy a 3 bedroom terraced house in the South Park Gardens area with Ellisons Wimbledon from September 2025 to January 2026.
After completing our first viewing with Amanda in September which was well managed, our second viewing was at 1pm with Mahul. He arrived at least 5 minutes late, then asked us several times to leave the property before 1:15pm with the next viewers standing outside. Whilst I know this is a successful high pressure sales tactic, it is disappointing to experience this when making such an important decision.
When our offer was accepted, Ellisons told us to open a bottle of bubbly, celebrate and that the property was taken off the market. A day later Ellisons phoned stating another offer had been received and we should increase our offer. I recognise gazumping is allowed and a decision for the sellers but this seems to be condoned by Ellisons.
The communication from Ellisons was very poor during conveyancing where we had to chase for almost everything. On 2 occasions Ellisons stated information from the seller had not been received because they had gone into my solicitor’s virus checker when in fact the information simply had not been sent.
Ultimately, because of a serious conveyancing issue which was only revealed to us near the point of exchange we were forced to withdraw our offer. I feel Ellisons made the purchasing process extremely difficult and would not recommend them to anyone for buying/selling a property. We’ve had a much more positive experience with other Wimbledon estate agents since.

We've been Elisson's tenants for 5 years, and we are absolutely happy with the smooth and fair relationship we've been having with the Landlord and this amazing state agency. Since the first contact, when we received a respectful and understanding treatment from the Letting Manager, Laura, through the total support received from them for the rapport with the referencing company, to our entire tenancy period, during which we`ve had professional and fast assistance from the property management department. Our relationship with the Landlord couldn`t be fairer or smoother, and I`m sure that the skilled management of the demands by Ellison was essential for that. After knowing how state agencies can be disloyal and disrespectful to prospective tenants, I absolutely recommend Ellisons as a loyal and professional state agency that I hope will continue to be the intermediary for our rentals, hopefully our first property acquisition.

Jennifer, Lamar and the team were superb in supporting us through a very difficult sale process - where the difficulty was completely unforeseeable and despite those struggles we got a great result!
Can’t recommend them enough, they worked tirelessly.

My partner and I worked with Darshil to buy our first house. From helping us find the perfect house, all the way through to purchase, Darshil was super helpful and supportive. As first time buyers he talked us through each step of the process and recommended additional suppliers like solicitors and local surveyors. People say buying a house is stressful but the support we had through Darshil and Ellisons made it smooth. Highly recommend!

Great experience with Darshill at Ellisons Estate Agents. Professional, responsive, and easy to deal with throughout the whole process. Communication was clear, and everything was handled smoothly from start to completion.
