19th Nov 2020 (3 years ago)Hello Reviewers!! I had rented a property for 6years and was alarmed when I was told I would be having to move as my landlord had sold his property during the lockdown. I searched everywhere! I couldn’t find anything suitable and the longer I searched the closer I got to the moving out date! I was panicking! Then I found SBLiving! There I had two amazing members of staff who went above and beyond for me and my requests! So a big shout out and thank you to Emily and Natasha! They were polite, fun to communicate with and most of all very professional! They found me a place (where I am now residing) And it’s been a dream come true! The process was fast Efficient and effective! I have been here for about 6weeks now and I cannot thank them enough! So a big box of celebrations is in order! Emily and Natasha if you are reading this THANK YOU ;)

27th Jul 2020 (3 years ago)After or sale fell through and we decided not to sell, gates estates refused to give us or upfront payment of £1100 back saying it was non refundable. This wasn’t mentioned at the signing of contract only this was a deal which was used to compete with the internet agents which had to be paid upfront. The contract even says refundable after 21 days notice and nothing about no refunds. The matter will be dealt with through the small claims court. A very stupid act from Ryan gates as i doubt gates estates will be trusted in birdwell hoyland and hoyland common by the time I’ve done.
15th Mar 2024 (9 weeks ago)Initially good to deal with. Purchased a new home through them and found them pleasant. However, things have gone downhill after we found that the new home we purchased was not mortgageable. Have told us that they have nothing to do with the deposit we paid even though they sent the e-mail with bank details on. Would not recommend as at the first sign of a problem they have disappeared and washed their hands of us.

I never imagined an estate agent would be so helpful in every area of selling my house; and my expectations are high. The cost was less than half everyone else quoted me.
4th May 2024 (15 days ago)Trust sales and lettings were outstanding to work with. Got the valuation spot on and their online work and the presentation of our home was first class. We had so much interest and sold quickly for good value. I would recommend trust very highly indeed .

Communication had to be prompted from the start, no viewings until I suggested changes to the advert, the is no responsibility taken by the staff. They are more happy to ignore your questions and hope you go away. Steer well clear
