I cannot thank the team at Bridgfords enough for the service they have provided whilst selling our home. After not selling a house in 19 years we made a few mistakes along the way with different agents but chose Bridgfords after noticing a lot of sold boards in the area. Needless to say we could see why from the off. Their professionalism and expertise shone through and they sold our home in less than a month and made a very stressful process incredibly easy. Thank you very much again - Sue and Richard Stoddard.
Terrible experience and very poor admin led to many issues. This branch kept poor records and could not work out a moving out date despite formal written requests and many phone calls. 6 months after moving out I have been left with bills for the property as they could not keep basic admin records (could not work out 1 month end of tenancy notice was different from end of tenancy date). They use a 3rd party management company too, so you get passed from company to company and no-one wants to take ownership; this is not a customer centric company.
When I was moving out they didn't hold keys so I let people in. I also ending up showing people around the house because the agent skipped showing an en-suite bathroom - in my opinion a major benefit for 2 people sharing an apartment. As a landlord I'd want my letting agent to point out key benefits of my property in order to secure a lease quickly.
Be prepared to double check all paperwork and keep your own records if you let via this branch; even better, there is plenty of choice on Teesside, do not use Bridgfords.
When we were selling our house, Gowland White were the 3rd estate agent we tried, after 6 months of being on the market. With Gowland White we sold within a matter of weeks. Their customer service was always fantastic: Emma in particular was brilliant! Everyone was always professional, courteous and friendly. We’re now looking at buying again and we’re seeing things from the other side of the fence and they are equally as good as when we were selling. The text confirmations and reminders for appointments are particularly useful and the agents are excellent for helping with the house-hunting!
Used to be good but have slowly gotten worse. Communication in particular can be extremely poor. Staff seem unaware of who has done what, so you end up chasing them when it should be them being proactive and getting in touch with you.
I bought a house through Browns, and now they are managing the rental for me. The team are helpful, professional and prompt. Great service.
Browns estate lettings agency are a disgrace, I have neighbours from hell since December in Linthorpe Middlesbrough. There problem solving issue is to talk to the tenant, this does not work after several months the noise and antisocial behaviours are still continuing. Brown's response is to get in touch with the council, they can not do anything due to the current circumstances. The tenants tenancy ends in May /June. The council had stated in their recent phone call that there is no reason to evict when the tenancy ends. "Just don't renew it, the onus is Browns to sort it out.
" Middlesbrough Brough Council 15 April.
Fantastic service, I received several viewings and multiple offers before going live online, this shows just how pro-active this team is! I received over the asking price and the sale went through smoothly and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.
To be honest we have done all the chasing and running to get the sale pushed through. I think with forethought the house sold itself. No real contact from point of offer. I worked directly with buyer and seller to get the prpcess moving. It was not value for money in my opinion.
