Selling following a bereavement is never a pleasurable thing but Debbie Watts and the staff at Billingham made the process as easy as possible. When I called in, Debbie gave me a great explanation of the process and what to expect. This was followed by Matthew Hunt visiting the property, talking through the local market and arranging for photos/marketing. We were kept informed throughout and viewings (conducted by Poole's) were notified to us, together with feedback and progress. We had regular emails and update calls too. I recently sold my property through the Michael Poole Billingham Office and my first point of contact was Debbie. Debbie was so friendly, professional and extremely helpful, explaining the process to me in clear terms. Debbie arranged quick appointments with other members of the team to market the property. I received several viewings and had an offer within two weeks, throughout Debbie kept in touch with me explaining how things were progressing which was really helpful and supportive.
I enlisted a solicitor to carry out the conveyancing and throughout this process which became laboured at times, Debbie was always there to offer her support in chasing things up and pushed the sale forwards even when I was drawing blanks from the solicitor, Debbie would manage to get through to the buyer and keep me updated, this relieved the stress and I had full confidence in Debbie.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at Michael Poole's office in Billingham. From the start they bent over backwards to help us sell our property, offering us up-to-the minute insight into the state of the market. The first attempt fell through, through no fault of the agents, and they did not charge us a penny, despite all the time they had spent and expenses they had incurred.
We then paused the process because of Kwasi Kwarteng's mini-budget in 2022 and came back to the market a year later. she then became my point of call, constantly keeping me updated on the progress of the sale and kept an open (fantastic) dialog between myself and the sellers. The Billingham office arranged quite a few viewings, although most of them were not in a position to proceed. Feedback from viewings was quick and concise. However, once a sale had been agreed communication was practically non-existent. We heard more from our buyers estate agent than our own.
Overall though, the service given achieved the objective which was to sell our house in a relatively quick time. Job done - thanks.

We initially had our house up for sale with Michael Poole Billingham office with the primary contact Debbie. We have numerous viewings and received and accepted an offer. The process was proceeding along and we had picked a new build house to move into, based on an anticipated completion date. Then a couple of weeks before exchange of contract our buyers' buyer pulled out, with a none substantiated reason i.e. a complete time waster. As the buyer could not proceed we decided to go with part exchange with a new build. Through out the complete process Debbie was professional, courteous and helpful in the extreme. It is very easy to be critical of people dealing with the general public. But Debbie was the extreme professional and we thank her for the excellent service she provided.

Having never sold a property before, and with the market currently being 'Hot' I set about finding myself an estate agent, and opted for Michael Poole purely based upon them being competitely priced. Living out the area I needed someone to take the photos, market and conduct the viewings, this is where I thought the service ended.
However the Billingham office, (special mentions to Debbie and Maria whom have handled the property from the beginning) have given weekly updates and done relevant solicitor chasing when/where necessary, which is beyond what I thought an estate agent done initially.
I couldn't praise the team highly enough for their professionalism and work during the whole process, which from House going on the market to completion has been around 14 weeks, which is bang on the current average at the moment.
If you're in the Billingham area and looking to sell your property I would highly recommend utilising there competitively priced and professional services.

Mathew came out to look at our house , he took the photos and we discussed selling points etc.
The photographs were excellent.
We had already moved to another area so needed Michael Poole to do all viewings.
Because Mathew had been to the property he was able to answer any questions from potential buyers.
Gillian kept us informed every step of the way and helped with negotiations.
Anything that was promised was delivered.
Our house was sold for a great price and the whole process was stress free.
There fees were even a lot less.
I cannot recommend Michael Poole Billingham especially Mathew and Gillian highly enough.
