The team were outstanding - so professional , proactive , informed and extremely personable. The sale was not a straightforward one and their understanding and communication was outstanding and we felt very reassured throughout. I could not recommend them highly enough - we are so happy in our new property and a big thank you to the team for making the process as seamless as possible. Wonderful service and lovely team. 2nd May 2023 (3 years ago)Very pleasant, friendly and well presented and punctual agents but lacked experience which I felt contributed to poor marketing and incorrect information being passed on to prospective buyers. Communication could also have been better.

Then they let themselves down and me, if anyone wanted to view they told them drive past and if you like it make an appointment, since when do people buy house by driving by. No feed back at all I think good opertunities were squandered a lazy team.
9th Apr 2026 (27 days ago)I let out my house through Cooper & Tanner for a few years due to having to move away. From start to finish they were great. They made the process of getting the house ready for and finding tenants easy and smooth to understand. During the time they were always in continuous communication and also understanding of both tenants needs and mine. I would recommend for others to use their services.

Ollie offered clear answers, prompt updates, and genuine advice. He chased solicitors and coordinated tradespeople when needed- keeping things moving quickly and smoothly. He's a fantastic communicator and great representative of the Hunter French team. We would happily trust Ollie to handle any future sales or purchases on our behalf.... Their approach is subtle rather than pushy! And the recent sale bagged us a better price (even with a reduction) than other agents even valued the house at. 21st Apr 2026 (15 days ago)I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent experience with your agency. Yesterday, I submitted several enquiries through the portal in order to arrange a viewing for one of your listed properties. I received no response whatsoever to any of my requests. Suddenly this morning the property has been removed from the portal. I would kindly ask that, in future, basic courtesy be extended to prospective tenants or buyers who have taken the time to reach out. A simple acknowledgement or notification that a property is no longer available would be greatly appreciated, and is the least one would expect from a professional agency. I hope this feedback is taken on board.

Emma has come in as the new manager, taken these on and has turned the situation around in 24 hours. Emma is an exceptional agent. She is extremely professional, experienced, really quick to respond and take action. We would highly recommend using her. Hetti goes above and beyond and has been fantastic at keeping us updated. It's been a difficult period but we now once again feel excited at the prospect of our sale and purchase going through and feel in very capable hands. Thank you

Jon’s communication was outstanding throughout the entire process; he kept us consistently updated with all the information we needed and often more. He went out of his way to follow up with viewers, solicitors, and the estate agents handling our purchase in order to maintain momentum across the chain. Jon also succeeded in generating significantly more viewings than our previous agent, providing what felt like a truly bespoke and proactive service. He remained consistently friendly, approachable, and positive, even when dealing with the inevitable complications of a long property chain. When Jon was unavailable, Justin stepped in seamlessly, ensuring continuity of service without disruption. The marketing was also of an excellent standard. The photographer produced high-quality images that showcased our property at its best, and the floor plan was both detailed and accurate. We would have no hesitation in highly recommending these estate agents.

They were always in communication with me for any updates (or lack of) throughout the process and were always helpful when I had additional queries. I would absolutely sell property with them in the future, they made everything very easy and maintained relations between all parties throughout my sale process.
18th Mar 2024 (2 years ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!
