10th Oct 2025 (8 mo. ago)If I could give more stars, I would. Grant at the Cupar office has been wonderful helping us buy our first house. He covered all bases, was very kind and patient with us when we asked a million questions, and was so quick that we had moved within the month! The whole thing was super easy for us and very afforable. We're grateful for all his help, and will recommend Thorntons to everyone as a reliable and trustworthy firm, especially for first time buyers.
27th Apr 2026 (7 weeks ago)Rollos St Andrews agreed to assist to put in a note of interest on a property and then purchase a property. They then declined to help for no good reason. A terrible service. I would advise to consider other options if at all possible.
20th Jun 2025 (11 mo. ago)Unfortunately, we found our experience with Thorntons to be pretty disappointing. Our initial contact was fine, but we suspect the house was valued too highly, & after 11 weeks and 2 price drops, we still had not one single viewer. Our contact in the office was away on holiday, & when I rang to speak to the person appointed to deal with the house in the interim, she seemed clueless as to who I was or anything about the house. We took the decision to remove the house from Thorntons and advertise it at auction. We did this, & accepted an offer within a few days of doing so. We understand that the market in St Andrews is very flat just now, but feel that Thorntons did very little to try and help us achieve a sale.- 6th Jun 2020 (6 years ago)Knowledgeable and professional friendly staff who sold our property within a couple of weeks at the asking price

They organised an excellent photographer to market the house and promoted it on social media. Very happy with using them for the sale of our home.
6th Feb 2023 (3 years ago)If it was possible, I'd have given Abbey Forth zero stars. Here's my experience with them: The place I rented from Abbey Forth had not been cleaned when I moved in. It was in a disgusting state with several broken fixtures. I took many photos and informed them that, because I was having to clean my new flat, I wouldn't be paying for the place to be professionally cleaned when I moved out. Throughout my year at the property, they were unprofessional and unhelpful when other problems arose: trying to charge me for boiler repairs (a boiler which was leaking on day 1), failing to resolve a drainage issue outside the kitchen door and, worst of all, falling to resolve an infestation of slugs in the kitchen - an obvious health hazard. When I moved out, they unsurprisingly tried to deduct £190 from my deposit for cleaning. I successfully disputed this charge with the deposit scheme, using the pictures and emails I'd sent them over the length of the tenancy. The deposit scheme found that, as the property was not cleaned to a good condition for the start of the tenancy, that I should only having to pay £60 In summary: Abbey Forth is the worst estate agent I've ever used. Rude staff and a general ethos of trying to squeeze money out of tenants for as little effort as possible. Only sign up with them if you are desperate and have no other options. If this is the case, then please make sure you document everything for inevitable struggle to get your deposit back

He was very helpful, informative and patient with all our questions about the process of buying our house. The service we received was excellent, very efficient and i would definitely use again in the future. I would recommend their services to anyone buying a house.
2nd Sep 2025 (9 mo. ago)My husband and I had rented from Property Bureau last year and met Lorna Donald and Yvonne Davies, the lovely ladies who are the faces of Property Bureau in Stirling. They were incredibly helpful and informative and went above and beyond with helping us yanks with local insights. This year they located and helped us buy our home in Stirling. They were extremely patient in explaining the buying process in Scotland which is very different from buying in the States. They helped us every single step of the way with graciousness and humor when we made daily visits to their office. We would highly recommend this branch for all your letting or buying needs.

He gave a brilliant description of our property accompanied by wonderful photos. He sold a lifestyle ! It didn't take long for us to get an offer and things proceeded all very smoothly.
