Dean and his team are fantastic - with special mention having to go to John, who kept me sain throughout. I never fully appreciated just how much an estate agent actuals does. Listing, viewings and the sale are just the tip of the iceberg. Austin Hawk rightly deserve their recent award and continued standing as a top UK estate agent. 29th Sep 2025 (10 weeks ago)Personal for Branch Manager at Savills Residential Property Centre, Newbury (20 Feb to 8 Aug 25). From initial bold pricing of my house, through strong marketing, excellent owner support at every stage - including helping clear 35yrs of household surplus and overloaded garage tools and electric equipment - by knowing quality people for the task - she was a generous helper. In addition, negotiation and discussion with the Sellers 'professionals' needed accelerating (from 'slow march') at times, and the appropriate momentum was adequately maintained even when the Manager herself was on holiday in Norfolk, before Exchange. With minor legal documents missing again within a month of (already delayed) Completion, she encouraged the selling agent to 'make hay while the sun shone' - and avoid delaying further, or lose the Sale. Through her deft handling and firm control of the selling/buying process, she frequently kept me in touch when my solicitor was missing on priority office work, or personal leave. Finally, her honesty and directness was refreshing to find in a younger businesswoman, and the office atmosphere in Newbury was well-organised and pleasant. She also facilitated my house-cleaning and moving support - to NE Oxfordshire - so have nothing but praise for the Newbury Savills' Office team, who ensured that the domestic move of a 79 year-old was completed as well as possible - in the circumstances. 14th Nov 2025 (25 days ago)Brilliant experience being a first time buyer. I dealt with Tom and the team, we needed up purchasing our first ever viewing with Tom. We had several complications with my solicitor and it was dealt with great patience and care. Tom was brilliant with updates, communication, and information. Made my first experience very easy and enjoyable (estate agents side). Would highly recommend. Flawless.

I can't say I was the easiest of clients following a bad experience we had as a buyer by another local estate agent, so you could say I needed abit more reassurance. Sarah made the process a smooth one and not at any point was I paranoid this might fall through. We received a sales memo 20th October and exchanged today. Great experience and cannot fault them! Hayley was an angel and acted to keep our sellers calm and ensured we finally reached a completion date. Would absolutely return to Savills if we are brave enough to move again in the future!

I received regular updates on the progress of the sale, and my specific requests were responded to professionally and promptly. 27th Aug 2025 (15 weeks ago)I am not qualified to review Halls as an organisation, but I am eminently qualified to review the help given to me by the delightful member of staff who dealt with my consignment, which was directly connected with Stalag Luft III and the Great Escape. If other members of staff at Halls share even half the fine attributes of Caroline Dennard, then I suspect that the organisation itself deserves five stars too. At a very difficult time in my life, following the death of my wife, Caroline was unstinting in her labours, her empathy and her professionalism. She did more to honour the memory of the remarkable wartime RAF officer, whose memorabilia I was reluctantly having to sell, than I could ever have hoped for, even arranging for additional research by Doctor Steve Bond. Her hard work and kindness both yielded great dividends, for she not only helped soothe my suffering soul, but also bettered the auction's guide price. Most important, she put my beloved step-father's memory and medals into the hands of someone who would understand and value them.

Gave them a quick call and they laid out loads of solid investment options with proper returns, not the usual fluff you get from other places. They know their market inside out and make it really easy to compare deals. If you’re into building long-term income, these guys are definitely worth speaking to.

Jamie was nothing short of excellent from the minute he gave us our valuation and his very competitive quotation. His communication was second to none from start to finish. He was with us every step of the way. From the very early stages with viewings, offers and offering his expert advice throughout the sale. All the way through to the very last day on exchange and completion. Nothing was too much trouble, his market knowledge and agent knowledge was outstanding. He is very polite and professional & a real pleasure to work with. As for Matthew, the very few dealings we had with him were also to the very high standards that Jamie had too.
