17th Apr 2026 (17 days ago)Ralph Sayer gave us the worst experience I ever had with a hired service. They felt like someone wanting to take advantage over us instead of been our legal support. They failed to communicate conditions to sellers repeatedly, creating all kinds of issues. When asked about such communication issues, they were not transparent and honest about what they had said or not in out behalf. Despite having a very long time window to complete the purchase (2 and a half months), they also leaved everything for the very last day. Then dropped a lot of info for us to process and sign within a few hours, making things very stressful and unpleasant. Communication with them was also very difficult while closing missives, which made things even harder and more painful for us. We found a property we liked and asked them to make an offer on the condition of a late entry date specified by us. The offer was accepted and a few weeks after as the purchase paperwork was being processed, sellers contacted back indicating that they needed an earlier entry date that could not work for us. The entry date condition was not included in the offer letter, and Ralph Sayer never confirmed they communicated that condition (despite us repeatedly asking. We contacted the seller's solicitors to figure out what was going on and they said to us such condition was never communicated. We thus lost the property purchase as our needs could not agree on entry date. This incident meant a lot of time lost searching for other options as well as a disappointment on loosing a house we were excited about and thought we had secured. Yet, we kept trusting them for our next purchase, as we understood they just made a mistake that we could forgive. When we them found another property and got an offer accepted, they waited until the last day to drop all documentation to us and expected us to have read, understood and signed it by 17.00 that day or the purchase would be postponed. It was an extremely stressful experience, especially as first-time buyers. We had visitors at home, and we had to cancel all plans to spend the day working on this, ruining everybody’s day. We tried to contact our layer Robyn for some clarifications we were told she was out of office for lunch. She took over 3h to call us back. For that purchase, we also asked them to put some conditions about some furniture staying at the property in the offer letter. Sellers answered asking for payment for such items at the time of accepting the offer. We only learned this on the last day of completing purchase, despite our solicitors knowing it since the beginning. After completing the purchase, we eventually asked Robyn to ask some questions to the sellers in our behalf, as we had no other way to contact them, but shortly after the operation was closed, she stopped responding. We did not fell helped or accompanied at all during the entire process. We fell treated with a take it or leave policy and forced to do things their way because we were the ones interested in completing the purchase. Despite giving clear instructions, they seemed to decide themselves which things were worth mentioning and which were not, what we should know and when we should know it. Instead of making us fell like a respected client, it almost felt like they were doing things to complete the operations at all costs, even if they where not done in our desired conditions and hide information to force us to drop our conditions once we were committed into the process. They are also not the most reliable service protecting your data, as I received and email from them containing sensible information about other clients and sent to me by mistake.
10th Apr 2026 (24 days ago)Starting from the date my of application to viewing the property even when i requested the rent should be reduce and my request was granted, down to the day i collected the house key the whole process was smooth and great, nice meeting you all at slater Hogg falkirk. pardon me to call out some name, Craig and lorraine you both are awesome. Lastly I enjoyed the communication, by email, sms, and telephone calls most especially how the staff pass information between theirself so fast and quick what ever conversation I did with one I do not need to start all over again we just kick off and do the necessary. Kudos to you all.
1st Aug 2025 (9 mo. ago)From the first phone call with Stephanie, who was a breath of fresh air, to the initial meeting with Emma, who was informative, confidence inspiring and took on board exactly how and what we were looking for, with the sale of our home. O'Malley stood out compared to the other agents that we had seen, and the service has been impeccable. Kept us informed at every step and the house sold within 6 days! Would highly recommend them! The sales progression app, they use, is genius! All round a 1st Class service, but its the staff that made it a pleasurable experience. Thanks again Emma!

Jonathan was readily contactable throughout the entire process and his advice/guidance was incredibly valuable. I would have no hesitation of using them again should I decide to sell in future.

Their comprehensive support alleviated any concerns I might have had. The team's friendly and helpful approach, coupled with their outstanding customer service, was truly commendable. Their profound knowledge of the market and strategic application of various techniques ensured the attraction of suitable prospective buyers. Despite the inherently stressful nature of the process, their involvement significantly eased my burden. Therefore, a massive thank you to Adrian King and his fantastic team up in Dunfermline branch! Although a High Street office she’s always there 24/7, wouldn’t go anywhere else!- 20th Mar 2026 (6 weeks ago)--- ?????????? We had a great experience with Slater Hogg & Howison in Glenrothes. Scott came out to value our home and was honest, realistic, and clear in his advice, which we really appreciated. Anna Kaylin and Lindsey were also fantastic—friendly, supportive, and always ready with sound guidance throughout the process. Lindsey gave us sound advice when we hit a snag with our buyer and this advice was spot on. Their professionalism and approachability made everything feel straightforward and stress free.

3rd Nov 2023 (2 years ago)(While the company did finally provide compensation, it's important to note that I still experienced a significant opportunity cost as a result of their actions.) It has undeniably been the most regrettable experience of my lifetime, dealing with a solicitor team that exhibited a severe lack of professionalism and courtesy. Initially, I placed my trust in them based on their positive Google reviews, which now appear to be misleading and have led to significant frustration and inconvenience on my part. The solicitor in question was Shari, who astonishingly took a full year to complete the anti-money laundering check, despite my having submitted all required documents promptly. To compound matters, she repeatedly requested the same information, leading to redundant submissions. Regrettably, she ceased all communication, failing to respond to both my emails and those from the seller's side. My attempts to reach her went unanswered for two months until she seemingly disappeared without a trace. I was dismayed to find myself in such a predicament. In desperation, I enlisted the assistance of the estate agent, who contacted Joni, the National Head of Conveyancing. However, this interaction proved to be equally disheartening, as Joni not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also declined to provide any insight into the unilateral breach of contract, responding in a profane manner. I strongly advise against engaging with this company. As a result of their inefficiency, my funds remained in limbo within my bank account, as I had initially believed they could promptly resolve their business matters. Consequently, I have incurred substantial financial losses due to the failure of Simpson & Marwick to deliver on their commitments.

8th Oct 2025 (6 mo. ago)Horrible company since after covid. Used to be so polite and understanding and willing to meet tenants half way. Now they just want profits and are all for the landlords. Emails are sent in a patronising and rude tone. It used to be if there was an issue it was sorted asap but now everything takes forever. Thankfully I won't have to as I bought a property but I'd never rent through them again and I'd never recommend them.

As an over thinker who doesn’t love the moving process, I felt, at times I had to contact them for an update - but to be fair to them, there wasn’t any updates! In hindsight, I think I was pitched a little too high, my decision! Hindsight is a wonderful thing though - my house sold after 41/2 weeks on the market and happy with the overall process and price.

From our initial meeting right through to the sale of our property, Stefan was so knowledgeable and was on hand to support us as and when we needed it. He answered any questions, assuaged any concerns we had and helped us achieve our goal of a quick turnaround by getting the property on the market within 4 days of appointing him as our estate agent and then getting a record sale on our property within 8 days. Very happy we decided to appoint Batchelor's as our estate agents!

From the very beginning, it was clear they take a genuinely customer-first approach, and that really sets them apart. They also helped me find my first home, which is something I’ll always be grateful for — it’s an experience that means a lot to me, and for that they’ll always have a special place in my journey. Whenever any issues arose, they were handled quickly and efficiently. Communication was always prompt, and you could tell they actually cared about resolving problems properly rather than just ticking boxes. Every concern I raised was taken seriously and actioned without unnecessary delays, which made a big difference. What stands out most is that they’re a small, family-run business, and it shows in the level of service you receive. Everything feels more personal, attentive, and considerate compared to larger agencies where you can feel like just another tenant. The whole team — from Olga, Giuseppe and Pippa to the staff working behind the scenes — do a fantastic job. They are all genuine, caring and professional people, and it really shows in the way they operate.
