I liked how they had viewing agents, who specialised in showing properties to potential buyers, and kept me informed about the viewings, pluses about the property and negatives if any.

Cannot recommend them enough, they were so prompt with every detail and we were kept updated each step of the way. We felt so personally looked after and all the team members were so friendly and helpful making a stressful process so much easier. Thank you all so much, we cannot recommend them highly enough and would be the only estate agents we’d use in future!

28th Aug 2024 (6 weeks ago)For the future customers of this company, please be alert and aware of fictitious property viewing. You should check whether someone gets the opportunity to view the property far ahead of the day you are going to do it. My partner and I enquired about a house in Exeter managed by Legg & Co. They let us know that the property viewing is planned for Friday and Saturday, and they assigned me to the property viewing on Friday morning. However, nobody was at the house at the appointed time. When I called the office, They said there had been property viewings on Tuesday, and all of them applied for this house, so they closed the property viewing process. Several flaws in the service process came up. First, I am not sure why they did not let me know the change of status on property although they had abundant time from Tuesday. The attitude of an employee whom I called is also an issue. Admittedly, the property market is not a daily business so it may not be likely to contact the company Legg & Co for property in the future. Nevertheless, for the long-term business, it is not a good attitude to approach it like "whatever": our property is going to be sold, so it is done, do you think I care?

I was concerned that because it is a relatively modest sale that it might take a while. However it sold very quickly at at a price they recommended which was 50% more than I had in mind. Everyone involved was very pleasant and efficient to deal with. Thank you!

MoveHolmesLTD and my landlord were brilliant to allow me to move into a flat. Throughout my tenancy they have been attentive and friendly to any questions i had during my time as we all have to start learning somewhere! Would definitley reccomend MoveHolmesLTD and use them again! Thanks again guys!
19th Apr 2024 (24 weeks ago)Extremely poor experience and lack of professionalism. Had a viewing booked for 4 pm today. I notified the estate agent that I would’ve arrived 10 mins late, and it turns out the estate agents not only could not accommodate a really short delay and do the viewing at 4:10 pm instead, but they couldn’t have done 4 pm either due to staff constraints and poor communication with the property management agency. And they made it seem like it was my delay that was the issue, when actually 4 pm wouldn’t have been possible from the start. However, what is most upsetting to me is that they only called to inform me when I was on the train already to go and see the property - a 4 hour journey. And after the day before the viewing was confirmed again over the phone. So it’s honestly beyond comprehension to me how a short delay could be met with such intransigence. The viewing would’ve lasted more than 10 minutes anyway - this is just ridiculous.
18th Mar 2024 (6 mo. ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DEAL!

We got 3 valuations, they suggested the highest valuation and I was dubious and asked them to explain why the property was worth their suggestion. They explained really well and they were right, we sold to the first viewer, so glad I didn’t listen to the other agents. I also have to say their communication was excellent and the took a superb set of photos that helped gain a lot of interest on Rightmove. Thank you Susan Eve and co.

I have to commend the services of Emily and Jessica at Unique Estate Agency Fleetwood who got me my viewing when i wanted, and took care of all the minor detail from here forward. An excellent service I would say and would almost certainly be my next option when rebuying or renting. Thanks to all the Team x

Although probably the most stressful of times as is widely known, their professionalism shone through right up to the point we collected our keys. Saying thanks is not enough, you cannot go wrong with Acquire Homes.
31st Jul 2024 (10 weeks ago)Our overall experience with Bettermove is one of disappointment. They sold a model whereby they would market our property to their pool of investors. Essentially they put our house on Rightmove for a slightly higher price then they said they would pay us and left it there. I had to chase for updates and when they responded it was to say that their investors thought the price was an issue! So why didnt you speak to us about that and say what we thought to reducing. I dont actually think they've got investors, just people who want a cash purchase in certain areas. Fortunately we didn't pay Bettermove any money for their services and we ended the contract as soon as we could

Harvey was incredibly responsive and proactive throughout the entire selling process, making us feel confident every step of the way. Once we accepted an offer, Tim took over and provided excellent coordination and follow-ups as we moved through the solicitor processes. Their teamwork made the whole process smooth and stress-free. We highly recommend Sell My Home and will certainly use their services again in the future.
5th Jul 2024 (13 weeks ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!
