8th May 2024 (11 weeks ago)I just cannot get my head round the fact that how is it even possible you can take a property on your books, the customer that gave you the business is expecting you to give them the best possible chance to sell their property..then you don't pick up the phone!!, had to send an email too!!..Your reason when eventually I got through??..."sorry, we been very busy and was looking to email you back""!!!..I am sorry but this is not good enough and I will most definitely not have you in mind if I ever want to sell my property. Not good at all. Gave you 2 stars..one for the service, one for the pity I have on your business!
12th Jul 2024 (15 days ago)Extremely professional from the very start. Gentleman from Home Estates came to view & value our house. He was so friendly & we had a lovely chat. He explained in detail how the process of selling works and also buying our next property. He was very informative. The pictures he took were outstanding!! The office staff have kept us updated throughout & again so polite and professional. Lovely people, lovely company!!

30th Apr 2024 (13 weeks ago)PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION! Myself and my partner moved into 21 Oaklands dene, Hyde. After only have been there less than a month we found that the property had rats! This was a previous issue which had NOT been resolved, Taylor & Wood were not interested and would not help with the situation. We had to call out a private pest control who had to come numerous times, they said that it was one of the worst infestations they had seen, it had also spread into neighbouring homes. Repairs need carrying out on the home to prevent this from reoccurring but again Taylor & Wood were not interested. We managed to get out of the contract after negations but after all the stress and having to moved out as it was not safe to live in and also at the Christmas period. LET THIS BE A WARNING TO ALL AVOID TAYLOR AND WOOD LETTINGS.

From my initial contact, they have relentlessly kept great communication in what is a difficult market, to find our "forever house". Tom and Edward's experience is second to none. If we are ever in the market for another house (hopefully not, as my wife has promised), I would have no hesitation in calling Savills......10/10

30th May 2024 (8 weeks ago)Poor service. Reached out to them twice by telephone and by email to arrange a house viewing and no response or spoke to staff who were at best disinterested. The lack of availability of property probably means that don't have to work very hard to sell or let with buyers waiting in the wings but at least have the courtesy to respond to enquiries.

12th Jan 2023 (1 year ago)This letting agency isn’t professional at all, been renting from them for almost 4 years now and I’m only still with them because cost of living is affecting my family so moving isn’t an option at the moment. Shocking agents, rude and unfriendly. Having to call them loads of times whenever there’s something that needs sorting around the apartments and I’ve had damp and mould all over my bathroom for years which they don’t care to come fix the issue! I wouldn’t recommend ABSOLUTELY! I never leave reviews but for this company I feel the obligation to!

From day one we were given excellent help and advice. All the staff were very professional, easy to contact, friendly and courteous. Also thanks to other members of staff we did not meet who kept us up to date as the sale progressed. We would not hesitate to recommend the Marple branch of Edward Mellor. John & Pauline Johnson.

26th Jun 2023 (1 year ago)Avoid at all costs. This estate agent are relying on reputation to get away with putting minimum effort into the promotion and sale of properties. When you sign up with them you are constantly pestered with their "partners" trying to sell conveyancing and other services despite the fact that they are not doing anything to try and promote the property. Topping that off they will trap you in an overly long contract which is nearly double the length of any other local estate agent.

2nd Nov 2018 (5 years ago)Been dealing with/working with Waltons for years from my time at the council and also running my own business. I have always found Martin and Kate to be very knowledgeable and refreshingly work very hard to promote 'betterment' for their business and their customers/clients also for the areas where they have properties. In my opinion, they are certainly the most reputable commercial agents in Tameside and very knowledgeable and experienced and speak common sense.

Communication had to be prompted from the start, no viewings until I suggested changes to the advert, the is no responsibility taken by the staff. They are more happy to ignore your questions and hope you go away. Steer well clear

5th Jul 2024 (22 days ago)BE VERY CAREFUL!!! Once these lot have your deposit they ignore you. We agreed to buy a buy to let from these and went through the mortgage application with our own agent. We then found out they had overvalued thr property by a fair amount, not allowing us to get a mortgage. We were then told we had to use their mortgage person, which cost us another £300 but we had no option. They also could not get us a mortgage because the value was less than 50k. Upon telling these lot, they are now ignoring our calls, you can't speak to the refund team as only on email, no managers have phones and they won't give us our deposit back even though it states we are entitled to it back for following their stipulations. I'm no being ignored by the salesman Jack and no one will return emails etc. I will be taking this to the Ombudsman too, to highlight this appalling service and blatant overvalued to gain mortgage applicants. They had the same listing on their site for £52,500 and £46,000. We found this after we had agreed a price. So be very careful not to deal with these people. They are rude and have total lack of customer service once they have your deposit. Zero stars from me!!!

A very smooth and professional process from start to finish, with regular updates and always available to answer questions. Much better service and local market knowledge than an online estate agent could offer. Highly recommended
