A massive thank you to the teams, both at the Bishop's Stortford and Dunmow branches. We are now in our wonderful new home and this wouldn't have been possible without how they saved us, getting a new buyer within 24 hours, when we lost our buyer (the same day we were about to exchange). Samantha Coughlan, at the Bishop's Stortford branch, really made the whole, very stressful process, so much easier. Karl Graham was in contact with us daily, so professional and friendly, with wonderful aftercare, nothing was to much. We didn't have window keys at our new address and they resolved it straight away, Oliver Cook, at the Dunmow branch, brought them to our door!! We would not be having Christmas in our new home without their amazing service and just to lovely to deal with. We will definitely be using David Lee again!
Put a offer in on a property, then got ask for proof of funds and mortgage in decision. When queried if our offer had been accepted, I was told by Laura, yes in principle.
Little did I know but speaking to my mortgage advisor and getting my mortgage in decision from him to show as proof, would leave a credit check footprint.
With 2 days gone by and no communication, I called to be told they were still showing people the property, despite saying our offer had been accepted. Speaking with 4 individuals, over the period of 4 days reiterating what had happend and to 2 directors - I was basically told they didn't accept the offer and the colleague that said that to obtain all of my financial details and proof was in the wrong.
Poor communication between all staff which was clearly evident as each time I called I had to relay what had happen to each person, yet no one was calling me back, I had to chase them!
So now we have a credit check footprint which you shouldn't have to many of as its deemed bad which expires in 60 days.
For first time buyers with a big deposit, they couldn't have made the process more complicated.
I use Beresfords for their Introduction of Tenant service. I have always found them professional, approachable and informative when additional advice has been sort, and they keep me regularly updated on progress.
Would happily recommend.
Just want to thank the staff for NOT Replying back to us, when we decided to go for property to rent as we found a much better home to rent and much friendlier estate agents.

THIS COMPANY IS NOW BLACKLISTED BY MY UNIVERSITY. Please DO NOT waste your time with the deceitful, awful people. These people will tell you anything to get you to sign, once you have signed that's it they've got you and will tell you that they didn't agree to any of i because it was not officially written down. My flat mates and i got a house through these people in January, broke up for summer only to be told that the "landlord pulled out" and only had a couple of weeks to find a new property. When we returned and managed to find a house on the same road as the previous house (through a different agency) we found out that they had just moved different students in. The new students are international student i presume this is why they chose them, as they are easier to manipulate. All staff are EXTREMELY rude ESPECIALLY DAN. Please do not waste your time with this company.

Avoid at all costs! Rude, smug staff who are inadequate to provide a half decent service. I thought it would be wise to use them as they are advertised as a friendly, local, family agent but I fell into this false security as they are worse than a corporate company. Some staff training on customer service is urgently required, especially from the manager Steve. Total rip off, they can’t comprehend that they are messing with real lives.
We asked St George Property Group to value our house and were very pleased with the service we received. Jordan was prompt and polite and gave us a thorough appraisal of our property based on his knowledge of the area we live in. Prompt, polite and a pleasure to deal with. Recommended.
I've been renting with Mackay for the last 6 years... They have looked after me well during this time, dealing with any issues quickly and efficiently. Rachel has been my contact over the last year or so, she has been very friendly and helpful throughout. I would definitely recommend this Agent for renting property.
Monday 8th June 2020 it took lots of phone calls with lots of messages being left just to arrange a second viewing. The viewing then took place on the Wednesday 10th June. While on the viewing we decided to make an offer in which we were told would be refused but never the less the agent would get back to us with feedback. Well on Friday, we called for a responses to our offer and can you believe we were told somebody would get back to us !! Nearly a week later and still no feedback or response to our offer. Very unprofessional as these agency is and are instructed to sell properties for their vendors. I understand that we are in the middle of a pandemic but come on whether you’re working from home or in an office a phone call takes seconds. No excuse for the lack of professionalism.
