We had the pleasure of using William H Brown to sell our house for us, credit goes to all of the team at the Halsted branch. We had been trying to sell our property for quite a few months with other estate agents to no avail, we then decided to change agents and called in to see Arron Rulton who we found to be totally professional, he talked us through the procedure of the sale from the start to finish. Our move included us relocating to the Isle of Wight, our house sold pretty quickly and the process from agreeing our buyers offer to moving out was 12 weeks. We would thoroughly recommend William H Brown, just ask for Arron or one of the team and you won't go far wrong. Thank you all.

My experience of dealing with William H Brown, Halstead, has been an excellent one. My husband and I were looking at houses within the Halstead area and were shown some cottages in Colne Road, Hedingham Road and Trinity Street. Even though, in the end we decided to go for a newer build, we found Grant, Jade and Aron to be very approachable and amiable yet professional at the same time. It was enjoyable learning about the area and what we could buy with our money. Thank you for your service.

An absolute disgrace. We've been letting a property for the last 4 years and there lack of communication between branches is comical. Whenever a problem accrued we would always have to endure a slow process multiple calls from different branches to sort things out plus messages from the landlord to give her 2 pence worth. I'm a general builder I certainly know they made a mountain out of a mole hill everytime. 19/05/2022 I received a phone call asking to arrange a viewing I responded I don't know what your talking about I've not been made aware of any potential sale of the property by anyone and the male agent hung up on me this was the Halstead Essex branch. I rang back and asked what was going on and he said he must of been given the wrong number . What a bunch of lies turns out the whole process of selling the house was already in motion by the Halstead Essex branch not informing either myself or William h brown Sudbury branch who we let the property from what's going on. My partner and I feel so let down as its not easy to find the right accommodation to suit our lifestyles. We should of been made aware the moment the decision was made so we could make arrangements for ourselves now we've been left to sort everything out last minute. We will never be using william h brown for lettings purchases or sales in the future

We decided to use William H Brown as at the time we were impressed with their manager. Within a few weeks it was soon apparent that there was no communication, I contacted them to ask to speak to the manager to be informed that he had left. I asked to speak to the new manager who failed to impress me. I expressed our disappointment in the lack of communication and viewings and his first response was that we may need to look at the price. This was at 4 weeks. I emailed him to clarify about the length of our contract and never heard back from him! We then decided to remove the house off the market. I was not prepared to give them any of our money., It is important to note that the young man who does viewings was very competent.

The people we have dealt with Ryan, Elliot, Lisa and Jack have been extremely professional, courteous, and helpful all the way through our purchase.
Lisa was very helpful chasing our agent and solicitor on many occasions and as with all the team she called us back when she said she would and always updated us.
Our main contact with several viewings was Jack who was new to the job but you wouldn't have guessed, he dealt with us like he had been doing it for years.
Very helpful and accommodating as we measured, checked and checked again various things. We really feelJack will go far in this industry and must be a great asset to William H Brown.

From the very first meeting with Ryan, he was professional, understanding and patient while we organised getting the house ready to sell. He even helped move furniture to get the right pictures for the sale. Elliot was also just as professional, polite and courteous and nothing was too much of a problem. The house sale went smoothly, very little stress and was done quickly and efficiently and this was down to the amazing staff at William H Brown, I can’t thank you enough.

Staff all friendly and helpful and always showing people around. However not always asking visitors to take shows off. Found grubby footmarks on dining room carpet. Did not like the way they kept plugging Sequence. Continually receiving emails saying 'thank you for choosing us etc.' Had not chosen and would like to have been given option, with a quote offered. May have considered had I been asked and known charges, rather than it continually being forced on me with no idea of their fees. Then when I sold, on the same day they were informed of my solicitor and address. Started to receive emails from Sequence again, 'Thank you for choosing them etc.'even receiving a code to log in to my account. A letter arrived from WH Brown stating my solicitor as Sequence. I had to put them right on this and then contact my solicitor to say, buyers solicitor given wrong information. I did not need two solicitors. And there was never any mention of what Sequence fees would be? It seems they were being forced on you. Other than that they were fine and did persuade lots of people to view and would do so when not here. the agents I saw when I was home were always polite and friendly.

From instruction first week in February , to exchange mid April , with first class communication all the way through , on a sale of a cottage which another agent could not button up in over sixteen weeks . Halstead WHB and Ryan's team are to be highly recommended .
I do not normally complete reviews but such exemplary service deserves a mention . Plus WHB and Ryan achieved £12.500.00 more than the aborted offer . I call that a good result .

Through absolutely no fault of theirs, our onward purchase (that we had agreed through William H Brown) pulled out of the sale. Ryan and Elliot could not have been more kind or helpful in trying to find us another suitable place to buy (even though we had not sold our current place with them). Although ultimately we have now purchased a new build, we do wish it had been through them. I don't often post reviews but in this case, they really have gone 'above and beyond' and we very much appreciated everything they did for us.

Avoid this Branch and staff at all cost, not worth wasting your time as they are sure going to try and waste your time. So many unorthodox things happened when trying to buy, let alone some horror stories from people trying to sell through them. I asked for an investigation and all I got back was a statement from the area manager basically saying there needed to be some more training and what we were saying was wrong.
