13th Jun 2024 (6 weeks ago)Make sure to challenge them on the deposit return. Tell them you will use the Tenancy Deposit Scheme and don’t be afraid to use it if you believe you are right. They wanted to charge £455 from my deposit even though I left the property in much better condition than when I moved in. The agent made several false claims, but eventually settled for a £75 charge. I hope this review helps you get your deposit back and makes these agents understand that tenants’ deposits are only for covering damages, not for them to keep.
25th Jun 2024 (5 weeks ago)Richard, Chris and Demi are the best agents/service I have received in a very long time. Everything was of the highest professional standard. They answered all questions promptly and dealt with any issues that arose, finding solutions to make sure the completion happened (when looking unlikely). Couldn't recommended the team highly enough. They will have my repeat business for a long time!
28th Jun 2024 (29 days ago)Our Property Manager, Frankie Mirisola-Jones, is an asset to the company. As a tenant you are at the mercy of the letting agency to act in what you consider to be your best interests and I have felt really let down in the past. However, Frankie's extremely professional manner is equally matched by her respect, care, consideration and understanding of tenants. She manages the interests and needs of the tenant perfectly and with great communication, thank you. A 5 star review for a 5 star service from Frankie, I would definitely recommend this branch of John Hilton because of her alone.

Over the years we have not had the best of experiences with estate agents, so I am very heartened to be able to recommend Matthew with no reservations. He was honest, friendly, helpful and dealt with any hiccoughs effectively, liaising with solicitors and our buyers when necessary and keeping us informed all the way through what is a stressful and expensive procedure. Thank you Matt.

This horrible letting agent’s broken in my property without my consent and changed the lock within my fixed term tenancy agreement when I still paying the rent, utilities and council tax ! ! Can you imagine “ how safe “ of your home if u rent from them. ???? They illegally rent one property to two different tenants with two different tenancy agreements in the same period! ! News reporter please feel free to contact me, I am okay to share my horrible experience from King and Chasemore!

Sam expertly managed our purchase, kept us fully informed and helped us deal with any questions from our vendor. He worked well with our own agent, which was particularly helpful as our chain was long and complex. Agencies are plentiful but Sam and Mishons really stand out. Highly recommended.

10th Jan 2023 (1 year ago)I rented through Belvoir Brighton, whilst I was waiting for the sale of a house to go through. Therefore actually only occupied the flat for three months of the six month fixed period. Firstly I would say that many of the faults with the flat that I detailed were not addressed despite me making a formal complaint, and some of these were electrical. However, my biggest complaint is that after I moved out after three months, Belvoir said they would rent it out again and some money could be given back to me. I wasn't expecting much. However in the next three months the property wasn't rented out, meaning that I lost around £5,000 in rent. However as soon as my contract was complete, miraculously the flat got rented out straight away. Either it took three months for Belvoir to rent the flat out, which is hardly a recommendation to any landlord, or they really didn't try to rent it out for three months, and they were misleading me. Either is hardly a recommendation of their services. The only reason I did not give one star was because I got my full deposit back without much trouble, but the flat was immaculate when I left it. However, in summary, I would not recommend them.

We switched to HW after our existing agents were not getting much relevant interest and were making mistakes, missing appointments etc. HW were friendly professional and supportive, we dealt with Niaombh and Adam who I can thoroughly recommend!

11th Jul 2024 (16 days ago)As a first-time buyer I was extremely anxious about what the experience of working with estate agents would be, but these fears have been immediately alleviated by meeting the staff of Cubitt and West, Peacehaven. Shirley has been immensely helpful; she has been patient (especially in answering my endless questions), offered expert advice, and has demonstrated an exceptionally high level of professionalism and trust that my family and I are really grateful for. Never too busy to speak on the phone, Shirley has been particularly accommodating in arranging viewings, helping me understand the different conveyancing processes, and prioritising what is important for me in a property. At no point has she made me feel under any pressure; in fact, quite the opposite; it has been Shirley who has advised I take my time, revisit, compare other properties, take time to think etc, and this has helped instil confidence in my own decision making, and has involved her colleagues for further input when needed. I cannot recommend this service highly enough, especially for new clients like me; Shirley has actually helped make this experience enjoyable and exciting. The branch manager David also has an incredible wealth of knowledge and experience, and his input and support has secured an offer on our dream property. I am incredibly grateful to them both. Shirley will certainly be the first person I arrange to work with again if the current property does not work out, as I know I will continue to receive a trustworthy, helpful and personalised service.
