I recently bought a park home whose vendor was going through Fox and Sons. The process was fairly straight forward but as I engaged an expert legal firm to look after my side of the purchase it did occasionally come over that this was not the usual sale for Fox and Sons and there were some small gaps in knowledge for the process. I firmly recommend anybody thinking of this type of purchase uses a specialist legal company to assist them. However they adapted quickly to the challenge and all requests from my legal representative were met without fuss. Communication from Fox and Sons was always prompt and polite and I would like to make a special mention for both Sean and Callum at Fox and Sons in Peacehaven for their efforts. I would be happy to recommend.

Fox & Sons Peacehaven - A Waste of My Time and an Underhanded Practice
I was told about an open day for a bungalow on Saturday, August 16th. I specifically organized my week to attend, only to be called on Friday, August 15th, and told it had already been sold.
This is a completely underhanded way of doing business. Advertising a public open day while secretly selling the property to other clients beforehand is a major red flag. It shows a complete lack of respect for my time and suggests the open day was never a real opportunity for potential buyers.
Due to this experience, I have no trust in their business practices and will not be buying or selling property with them in the future.

Thank you for responding, Maggie, but your message doesn’t address the core issue. The problem is not simply “inconvenience” — it’s that Fox & Sons advertised an open day for a property that was already being sold to someone else. That is misleading and wastes people’s time.
If this “was not your intention,” then your processes need urgent review to ensure properties are not promoted as available when they are already sold or under offer. Until such changes are visible, I cannot have confidence in your business practices.

Been property hunting for many months and been able to witness first hand a vendor rip a property away as process begins. Fox and sons peacehaven team kept in regular contact with myself and tried to find and locate suitable properties within our catchment area between Goring and Newhaven, but higher offers kept coming forward..
After discovering my mortgage with a direct bank was dropping rapidly despite my deposit increasing, Jonathan was a great help in hitting a high enough agreement that I was able to secure a place.
I must admit, I didn't feel pressured when venturing in to enquire by phone, I didn't feel unwelcome when needed help and advice after agreements failed and have faith and belief now that the team here will be not just a named brand of estate agents, but a team that has the ability to put the customer at the heart of what they do...
So on my recommendation if struggling to get on the property ladder.. Come speak with the team here as like me, you could be pleasantly surprised...

All staff members have been so helpful, they led me throughout all stages of my house hunting process making it much less stressful than what I thought it could be.

Lewis offered a professional and tailored valuation service for me recently. He was so helpful and offered such a high level of customer care. Nothing was too much trouble and he made what was a very difficult circumstance, much easier to bear. I would have no hesitation in recommending Lewis and Fox and Sons. I will certainly be using Lewis to manage the sale of my house if need be.

We’ve had a very diverse experience with Fox & Sons to purchase our house. I cannot recommend Danielle Mann enough, she was fantastic ?
But then, the agency pushed for their mortgage advice too and it was a nightmare.
First, during the visits, we had the pleasure of being guided by Kim Preece who took us to about 10 properties, where she demonstrated she knew exactly what we wanted, drawing our attention to what we would like best for each, but also what we might not like and how we could turn it around, not shying away from the defects or minimising them like estate agents often do, but showing us things as they are and anticipating how we could actually make it work. It made a huge difference and created trust, avoiding disappointments where you realise afterwards that things were not as good as they seemed. It was refreshing and helpful and we found our house thanks to her.
But then, as much as we already had a mortgage broker and advised Fox & Sons we did not need another one, they became very insistent that we worked with theirs instead. We received what felt like daily calls about it but they would not take no for an answer and kept calling about all the deals they could get us and the money we could save and the guarantees they could offer and the deals that were exclusive to them. As we still didn't want to break our contract with our existing broker, they told us we could only make an offer if we chose THEIR broker. We knew it was not true and that made us want to work with them even less A colleague at work has had the same experience with Fox & Sons.
Although they had no idea how much deposit we had nor what mortgage might be good for us, they still went on about how they could save us “£250 a month on your mortgage if you work with us!” As I refused again, the last comment on that phone conversation was "you must be a very wealthy man!”
We felt like they were trying to bully us into accepting their deal, we started dreading receiving calls from Fox & Sons, not knowing if it would be for an interesting viewing or yet another aggressive sales call about mortgage deals. their approach felt like harassment. It had a completely counter-productive effect as, from then on, we systematically refused everything coming from Fox & Sons. They might have had excellent services to offer, but we had had enough.
But finally, we worked with Danielle Mann who was an absolute delight and completely turned it around. Danielle took us through the process of the purchase, the contract exchange, supporting us with the enquiries and we felt like valued clients again. I cannot commend Danielle enough; her dedication, her relationship care, her professionalism, none of that went unnoticed, she was exceptional. Danielle went above and beyond, working her way all the way to the top of the chain to solve blockages, dealing with countless solicitors through the chain, keeping us up to date on progress and making a stressful situation much easier for us. She was responsive to feedback, knowledgeable, understanding and agreeable to work with.
If it weren’t for Fox & Sons's mortgage sales tactics - aggressive, bullying and counter-productive - I would highly recommend them based on how fantastic Danielle was. But as a buyer, unless the property is advertised by several groups, you cannot really choose the estate agent. So if you are buying with Fox & Sons and already have a mortgage adviser, know your rights and know what to answer. If you don’t already have a mortgage broker, theirs might be an excellent option as Jack Mason does get excellent reviews from other clients, I honestly don’t know.
But if you do have an adviser already, I wish you the best of luck and I hope you have the chance to work with Danielle ?

I cannot thank Fox & Sons Peacehaven enough for their pro active help in helping me sell my property through them.
They were very helpful & despite their Premier Solicitors not being very communicative , Danielle Mann Administrator/Negotiator did a splendid job from her office at Peacehaven.
Danielle dealt with my selling directly & was updating me & the buyer regularly.
Danielle & her staff were really amazing and very fair to me & the buyer. Last minute queries were immediately attended to.
Well done
I have no hesitation to give Fox & Sons & Danielle Mann 5 out of 5 marks.

I cannot recommend the awesome Danielle Mann from this branch enough! She was amazing and went above and beyond to help us acquire our first property. Very very happy with the personal service she provided. Also HAVE to mention our Fox and Sons mortgage guy Jack Mason who was equally brilliant and so helpful. Both were always on hand to personally help us in what was a tricky and new (for us) process. Very happy now in our new home - thank you Fox and Sons for having these awesome two in your team! Fox and Sons got off to a slow start with a difficult sale, having been brought in to help after several offers had fallen through via a competitor estate agent, at the start there appeared to be very little activity. However, just as I was starting to lose faith, they brought in 2 viewings, both of whom offered, one of which was above the asking price. From then on, their service was spot on. They were able to keep pressure on the various parts of the chain and saw the sale through to a happy conclusion. I was impressed with the level of communication and keeping me informed each step of the way, so thanks to both Lewis Austin and Danielle Mann, I now sit happy in my new home.
