7th Jan 2026 (18 days ago)From the very first contact through to completion, the service I received from Hunters was nothing short of exceptional. As a buyer purchasing a property through them, I was genuinely impressed by how fairly and professionally they supported both the seller and myself throughout the process. Every member of the team I dealt with was outstanding. The staff who answered my calls were always professional, friendly, and helpful. My main agent was equally impressive—knowledgeable, responsive, and quick to find answers whenever a question arose. I also had direct contact with both the Director Robert and Managing Director, Zac, who went out of their way to resolve any issues promptly and efficiently. My purchase completed recently, and on the day I was due to collect the keys, severe black ice on the rural roads prevented me from travelling. With temperatures plummeting, heavy snow forecast for the next day, and a real risk of the pipes freezing, I mentioned my concern to Zac. Without hesitation, he arranged for an agent to visit the property, turn on the heating, and keep an eye on things until I could arrive safely when conditions improved. This extraordinary level of care—provided even after completion—speaks volumes about the team at Hunters. They truly went above and beyond, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I initially engaged Peter for the sale of my property, and he was consistently supportive, often acting as a guide with his pragmatic advice and calm demeanour. Amir then took the reins to drive the process through to completion, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Thank you, gentlemen, and thank you for the values you uphold. Highly recommended.

He’s attention to detail is impeccable and he’ll explain you the hardest parts with the simplest way. Just simply go for it and you won’t regret ????????

8th Dec 2024 (1 year ago)We had a mixed experience with Preston Baker. We chose them for their reviews online and at first contact with the Doncaster office they were quick to reply and tried moving our sale along promptly. Then our agent suddenly stopped communicating and when we tried contacting them we found out she had left but no one informed us. This happened a couple of times. Our house was eventually assigned to Terry Burrows (Leeds office) and she was good to us. She took care of our sale for almost a year until the end, even after two potential buyers dropped off and issues with the house made our sale more complicated. Sadly by then the market had changed and we weren’t able to sell for the value we had hoped for. Not sure if I would recommend the Doncaster office. I would recommend Terry for sure. (Terry, if you are reading this thank you for persevering with us and for helping us get a decent price in a difficult selling process)
7th Jan 2026 (18 days ago)Everyone we dealt with was great at the Doncaster Branch. However, we’d like to give Anya a special mention. She was fantastic. Always at the end of the phone, and did what she promised. Nothing was an issue for her. What an asset to have at your branch.
16th Nov 2025 (10 weeks ago)When I took the agent on it was under stood they would show people the property but this never happened the advertising not good the for sale board was positioned as though it was for the house in front . You could never speak to the same person twice all together a load of CRAP. Recommend the staff at Pontefract NO

My agent, Indiana, has been especially helpful in resolving all kinds of issues. She is very responsible and replies very quickly, which is rare compared with most other agents I’ve met before. 18th Mar 2024 (1 year ago)DO NOT SELL YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH THIS COMPANY! READ THE SMALL PRINT This company are extremely aggressive and unprofessional. We advertised a business with them, paid an huge fee to advertise. Later after terminating, we agreed investment (not even a sale) from an investor we met directly, who was never introduced by Hilton Smythe. After accepting investment after terminating with Hilton Smythe they demanded their commission!! Totally unreasonable given it was after termination and the person who invested in our business was never known to or introduced by Hilton Smythe! They are now behaving aggressively and threatening legal action. We in turn have reported them to the ombudsman and trading standards. They are snake oil salesmen. 9th Oct 2025 (15 weeks ago)?????????? If there were six stars, Zoe would get the lot! From start to finish, she’s been an absolute superstar. This wasn’t your average straightforward sale — we had solicitors doing their best impression of headless chickens, and the Help to Buy scheme throwing in last-minute curveballs just to keep things interesting. Through it all, Zoe was calm, kind, and completely unflappable. She chased, nudged, reassured, and generally worked miracles to keep everything on track. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she always had time for a chat and a laugh, even when the rest of us were tearing our hair out. We’re genuinely kicking ourselves that we didn’t sell through them too — lesson well and truly learned! If you want an estate agent who actually cares (and knows what they’re doing), Zoe’s your person.
