Absolutely appalling estate agents. Promised the world, got nothing. The photos of the property were taken by an apprentice on her iPhone!! They were shocking, I could have done better myself. In the brochure the location of the house was wrong! Communication with us and potential buyers was dreadful. When we got our buyers they started offering them ‘free’ services… and by free they was free for the buyers, they planned to charge us for them! Think they forget who they are working for! In the end the buyers started contacting us directly because they were useless and communication was non existent. We disputed the final fee due to all the issues we had and they just passed us straight to debt collectors, with not so much as an email. Their ‘head office’ is actually debt collectors, which says it all about them really. Avoid avoid avoid.... Read more

I.wouldn't choose William h brown if I were to sell again, first day house was put on market we recieved a very good offer on the house,I wanted to accept the offer as it was the realistic market price, but i wasnt informed until after it was turned down, which is wrong because I should have been consulted, William brown didn't want to accept as they said it was worth more,.The photos that were taken were photoshopped, there were things that could have been moved before taking the photos that they could clearly see not what you call furniture, ' a green camping table with some rubbish on.. After roughly 12 weeks on market, poor communication, doing viewings myself because there wasn't enough staff, ringing up because it wasn't listed on internet for 2 weeks due to it being removed because no energy performance certificate done, and they had no idea or unaware it wasn't listed,a sold sign still up over a week but the sale had fallen through,a viewing appointment I went up to do and waited an hour and half for had been cancelled but nobody thought to let me know.
Just over 12 weeks later an offer on the house was made which we accepted ( nothing said about it being worth more now ) the offer we accepted was lower than the offer the day after it was put on market, which William brown said was too low....
So we could have sold it the following day it went on market for more than we accepted around 12 weeks later..
Overall, I thought the communication was poor, not very helpful, didn't seem to be interested, like they couldn't be bothered, didn't find them approachable or helpful.
I suppose its different for everyone but me personally,I wouldn't use them again.... Read more
