30th Aug 2022 (1 year ago)Recently purchased a property at auction with Hammer Price Homes. I was a little sceptical first about buying a property via an online auction but was really surprised and happy about how easy it was. I liked the transparency of the auction and felt that it tested what the actual market value of the property was rather than the usual process of placing offers through an estate agent. The additional benefit was that we had time to arrange a mortgage. We had 3 months following the auction to complete and Michael at Hammer Price was great to guide us through the process and answer any questions. We completed 2 weeks ago and have began renovations on our new house last week!
2nd Jan 2020 (4 years ago)Picture quality for PR Material not as good as I hoped. Agent did in-house, if used a professional photographer would have had much better impact for potential buyers.

7th Jun 2021 (2 years ago)Despite pointing out that the property we were letting did not reach the EPC standards, this agent persistently defended the landlord and failed to acknowledge that letting out a property with the lowest rating possible was not acceptable in terms of current legislation. They also re-let the next door house on behalf of the same landlord, not once, but twice, following the April 2019 deadline which prohibited renting properties which were below the accepted E level. When we moved out and tried to address this with them (having had no satisfactory help when we did live there) they were totally on the side of the landlord and refused to acknowledge wrongdoing. They continued to let out G rated properties throughout 2019 and 2020 and then affectively blamed us for the fact that an EPC (with a G rating) was not performed until November 2020. They also tried to use the excuse that our rent was lower to account for the very high cost of heating a house (which was LPG, a 1972 system and no radiators in the bedrooms). At no point were we told that the rent was low to account for this (also, the rent was not low at all!). Personally wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.

4th Mar 2024 (9 weeks ago)If you are a small independent business I wouldn’t bother with this company - extremely unprofessional. They don’t respond to emails and if you manage to get through to someone on the phone be warned they are unhelpful and rude.

19th Dec 2022 (1 year ago)We cannot praise Wayne and his staff at Applebys enough. Our property sold within the first viewing! We love the Appleby's business model. Wayne's concientious, efficient and personal touch is to be commended; Wayne has communicated with us from the viewing right through to completion and provided regular updates throughout the whole procedure. We could not be happier and Appleby's service is faultless. We would cetainly recommend him!
