We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dominic who went above and beyond in helping us, especially towards the end when it started to look like we might not get to exchange date.

26th Sep 2025 (1 year ago)You definitely get what you pay for, and the help and support I received from Matt, Nicola and the team in Thame was excellent. I chose them because of the help I had received in the previous year or so, answering emails, providing a valuation (for free) - and they did not let me down. They were the only shining light in a difficult and horrible process. Selling a house is a really stressful process; doing it because the owner has dementia and cannot live alone is infinitely more stressful and difficult. The Fisher German team did whatever they could to make it bearable. Thank you Matt, Nicola and the rest of the team

20th Sep 2025 (1 year ago)I recently viewed a property I was very interested in and made it clear I wanted to put in an offer and in a chain-free position. Despite this, the agent sold to a buyer involved in a chain. When I asked whether it would have been better for their vendor to receive multiple offers, I was told “of course we will take two sales over one.”
When that sale later fell through and the property came back to market, I was contacted to view again. Unfortunately, the exact same situation occurred again. I was apprehensive to move forward given the previous time and again, whilst in discussion with the agent, not given a fair opportunity to put in an offer, while the agent managed to reconnect the chain. I understand that the market is difficult, but prioritising an internal double-deal over the vendor’s best interests feels deeply underhand. If I were the seller, I would be furious to learn this was happening.
On a separate note, I was taken aback by the line of questioning I received during the viewing. Being quizzed about my age and affordability, along with comments like I “only look about 15”, came across as unprofessional and demeaning. It left me feeling uncomfortable and put me off wanting to view further properties with this agent.
27th Aug 2025 (1 year ago)These people dont have your interests at heart. I've been in very limited contact for just short of 3 months. I have called and emailed about 2 separate properties and they fail to reply and fail to actually commit. This has been a very stressful situation that they share zero empathy in. This business is NOT fit for purpose.
Charles has not even met expectations in this situation and I've not been able to discuss this with anyone else.

20th Jul 2026 (16 weeks ago)We purchased a house recently through Singletons in Pangbourne. Paul Marshall handled the sale. He really was 1st class - a true professional. He worked across buyer and seller to get the deal done. After the price was agreed, Paul and the Singletons team remained engaged throughout the transaction helping resolve obstacles and keep the sale on track. Result was completion within 6 weeks. I can't recommend Singletons Pangbourne highly enough.

6th Sep 2026 (9 weeks ago)I bought a house a few months ago through Bridges, and my experience has been extremely disappointing.
My main issue was with Mrs Rosser, who was the person I was dealing with throughout the process.
I originally made an offer on the property, and Jo personally told me that my offer had been accepted. A few days later, while I was on holiday, I received an email saying that the property was actually going ahead at the original asking price. As you can imagine, I was extremely stressed, upset and completely gobsmacked.
When I questioned what had happened and explained that something clearly wasn't right, Jo told me that my offer had been put forward to the seller and that the seller had rejected it. I was then told that I had subsequently counter-offered the original asking price.
I was absolutely gobsmacked.
I had been told by Jo that my offer had been accepted, and I had never made a counter-offer. I was also never told that my offer had been rejected. To then be told afterwards that this was supposedly what had happened was incredibly upsetting. Especially when it did not!!!
What made things even worse was the way I felt I was spoken to and made to feel responsible for the situation. Jo brought up several viewings that had supposedly been cancelled and other issues, which I felt were completely irrelevant to the fact that I had been told my offer was accepted, yet I was later given a completely different account of what had happened - if it even did?!
I felt that I was being made to feel like I was the problem, rather than receiving a clear explanation and accountability for what had happened from their end.
I have since spoken to a number of people and other estate agents and have heard similar complaints about Jo's manner and the way she has spoken to people. I can only speak from my own experience, but unfortunately my experience was enough to make me completely lose trust in Bridges.
Ultimately, I ended up losing £10,000 as a result of this situation.
I have told many of my family and friends about what happened, and I personally will never buy or sell a property through Bridges again.
And if you are a seller considering using Bridges, I would seriously ask yourself: what if this happened to you, or to one of your family members or friends? Would you be happy knowing that the same thing could potentially happen to them?
Buying or selling a home is a huge financial decision, and you should be able to trust the estate agent representing you to communicate offers properly and treat you with professionalism, honesty and respect.
Unfortunately, I did not feel that was the case here, and I would not recommend Bridges based on my experience.
