Charlie was always responsive and helped facilitate a sale pulling together all parties, and pushed to keep as close to our deadline as possible.

Ben Baker was excellent from first meeting through to eventual Completion - polite, reliable and efficient, as also were Ceri and his support team. Moving after 34 years was always going to be challenging, but Hamptons made the whole process much easier for us. We are glad we chose them.

13th Oct 2026 (24 days ago)We put the house on the market in May 2026, after speaking to Philip Booth (and other estate agents) for over one year. He totally understood that getting ready for an international move is not a quick thing. The asking price was set realistically together and we got full asking price, within one week of putting it on the market and we only had one couple viewing. Quite a whirlwind and a great result. Margaret was our main contact from Philip Booth Esq and communication was quick, accurate when needed. What has stood out since we moved in September has been when the Post Office failed to redirect post etc (which was ordered and paid for and was suppose to start the week before we moved) the PB team and Margaret has helped beyond their remit with picking up post from the buyers, communicated about it and made sure we’ve received it. We are so grateful for everything. Selling a house and moving is never easy, physically or emotionally. So pleased we had and chose the right team supporting us on this journey. Thankyou.

17th Sep 2026 (7 weeks ago)Recently finally sold my property after a very long arduous selling process (no fault of Connells). Connells were amazing throughout seemed to be the only party at times to have my best interest. Charlie in particular was amazing reaching out and offering tons of support, especially when a buyer pulled out (again no fault of Connells) the had a new buyer within a week. Couldn’t recommend them enough and big thank you again to not only Charlie but the whole team.

7th Feb 2025 (1 year ago)After minimal success with our first Agent in selling our house, we chose to move to 'James Gesner Estate agents' due to their knowledge of Wallingford and the surrounding area and specifically one area.
Having the team represent our sale, and then to find us a property in the area we were looking to move, I would comment that James and the team were exceptional. The data (marketing report) that they provide against the sales element was informative, the viewings that they conducted, were very professional and the correspondence was always relevant, and always available.
James is very knowledgeable where it matters and worked tirelessly in supporting both the house sale and purchase, and I felt that he really went above and beyond in providing a great service and doesn't seem to switch off by providing updates whilst in Mexico.
James Gesner Estate Agency will certainly be first on my list for any House sales/Letting.

Effective and timely communication and no sugar coating made what could have been a stressful time, not so. 5th Nov 2025 (1 year ago)Agents under valued our property- we ended up going elsewhere and managed to get 80K more than this agency wanted to put it onto the market for. To me, the agent didnt really seem to know what they were talking about. Owner seems more interested in opening new shops then helping with current clients and wasnt very attentive whilst showing him around. Would not recommend unfortunately.

We had a few false starts getting our house to market and Jeremy and the team were very patient, understanding and supportive of our situation. Once we found a buyer and a house they maintained communication, chased where necessary but were never pushy or insinuated we were asking too much of them. It is only the second time we have bought but it was a world away from the larger chain we bought our first house through. I can't recommend them enough.
