30th Jan 2024 (12 weeks ago)Had the absolute worst experience with Sutton Kersh - avoid!! I was purchasing my first house through them and it took around 28 weeks to get the keys from when my offer was accepted. I felt like I constantly had to chase them and was never given an update, I feel like I was always having to offer up potential solutions, the manager was always condescending probably because I’m young/a first time buyer. I was consistently told “it’s just a lengthy process” and 26 weeks into the sale the manager told me “there’s nothing anyone in this office can do for you” - even though at this point the seller and their solicitor had made the case a priority as it has been going on for so long. Once I was told to wait till the end of the week for an update, called back and the manager simply said “no, nothing in the inbox” and I had to ask if she was going to do anything about it or if she was just going to sit and wait potentially several more weeks for a response, she wasn’t very willing to help unless pressed and I feel like her attitude and overall level of service were shockingly bad, I couldn’t believe that she was the manager. After the sale, the seller was reimbursing something their solicitor was meant to pay for but mine charged me for, I sent an email about this to ask them to contact the seller and I never heard back, they didn’t care once the sale was through. However, on the other hand, months into the sale my case was handed over to Mary Kate and she was amazing, her personally I would give 5 stars to. I called so many times and sent so many emails and she was always happy to help and seems like she actually did her job in chasing the seller and trying to get the sale through, rather than just sitting back waiting for a response and hoping something would change. She never made me feel like I was being unreasonable by calling for an update and never minimised the situation, in all honestly think she would be a much better manager.

After the viewing, at 5 minutes to 5 I said good-bye to the agent and asked, just as a way of conversation, if she had to drive far in the 5 o'clock rush hour traffic. She responded that she was not driving anywhere because she had another viewing after mine. Sure enough, a car arrived at the property at this point, with the next viewers, so somehow it _was_ possible to do viewings after 5. I do not appreciate being lied to, so I will avoid Jan Forster in the future.

It seems that their only interest is finding ways to avoid refunding my deposit. Secondly, I moved house during the pandemic and was advised to isolate. I contacted Armstrong to discuss possibly sending the keys through the post or having them pick them up from the property. This request was made because they had previously stated they would inspect the property on the last day of my tenancy. However, they insisted that the keys must be dropped off in person at their office by the last day of my tenancy. They mentioned that failure to do so would result in an additional month's rent charge.

The property and listed within a day with the listing showing the property to a high standard. Any problems the tenants have in the property Jack is quick to come to a solution and informing myself quickly.

15th Dec 2020 (3 years ago)After having our house on the market for many months with another well known agent we decided to change to Keith Pattinson. Our house sold within weeks of being advertised. Very happy with their service. Unlike the other agent, the office staff were easy to get in touch with and followed up calls from potential buyers.
