4th Jun 2024 (18 weeks ago)Slow to give feedback on viewings. I had to chase after a couple of days but improved when I complained. Some rushed viewings . One agent arrived and said it had to be quick and she had asked the buyer to come earlier. Another told a late buyer asked to come at 8.45am on arrival that they only had 15 minutes so it would be a quick look . We were told they had a large database of buyers but I wonder if just relying on the property listings and their database algorithms to find people was enough. They did offer us a premium listing months later when I asked what else could be done and this generated viewings . Unable to arrange one second viewing and blamed staff absence for not contacting the buyer when I rang up a week later and the buyer did not return their call. People not getting back to them happened a lot . We were never shown any evidence of their contacts with people . It's a shame as they understood the market and provided a lot of information about why viewings were sparse due to external factors.Pleasant staff with good local knowledge. We gave them a long period as it was a tough time to sell but did decide to find another agent in the end as they did not seem that proactive .

2nd Dec 2022 (1 year ago)Sandy Gorton handled the renting of the property and was superb from the word 'go'. He had people round, he chased up to see how interested they were and if they weren;t, why not. His communication with me was excellent. I was kept in the loop throughout the process and, quite honestly, he was like a Knight in shining armour. It did not take him long to find us a tenant and we are very grateful for his hard work, perseverance and charm.
8th Aug 2024 (9 weeks ago)Andrew, Paul and Max at Hamptons, Great Missenden sold our house and dealt with the trials and tribulations of the UK House market and Chains, with professionalism and enthusiasm. Keeping us informed of progress from start to finish. Not only supportive, but personable chaps too. I would like to thank them all for managing the process in a pleasant and proactive manner. Well done guys!

29th May 2020 (4 years ago)I have used the services of Carter Jonas in both Cambridge and Suffolk. They have repeatedly delivered excellent professional service when the markets have been both buoyant and not. They go the extra mile and are incredibly accommodating. I only once used another agent who over promised and then under delivered. I changed to Carter Jonas again (they were very gracious) as a result I had a buyer within days of the instruction.

18th May 2024 (20 weeks ago)Invited Michael Graham around to value our property and agreed to go on with them but had to chase them a week later as we had not heard anything. Finally, they got in touch, and we arranged for photos and floor plans to be sorted. I also signed and completed all the paperwork. A week and a half later, still nothing, so I called them twice, each time leaving a message for a call back, but never got a call back. 4 weeks after last speaking with Graham and telling him that communication was key for my wife and I, we still have not had a call, txt, or an email. Clearly, Michael Graham does not want a 600k+ listing.

30th Jan 2024 (8 mo. ago)I originally contacted Jacob to carry out a probate valuation of my late parents property. I was impressed as this was done respectfully and with empathy. This was a 'driver' when the property later went up for sale, and the reason I selected Orchid Estate Agents. Jacob was professional throughout the sale. He has excellent communication skills. He gave regular pertinent updates, and addressed any queries and concerns. He is the best estate agent I have dealt with, and a credit to his profession. Many thanks from my family

R & H were brilliant in advising very precisely on price, which they got just right, and explaining the process. Their brochure was good. They sold the property for us pre-auction, at above the reserve. They were professional throughout and what was most important, always kept us in touch.
