20th Feb 2024 (9 weeks ago)I used Barnard Marcus for the sale of my property and the purchase of my new property they were great (specifically Michael Griffin and Jill Parry). I found with a few other estate agents when getting valuations that they can be quite pushy however Michael was the total opposite, he provided me with my valuation and all the information I would need to make an informed decision about selling my home and didn't try to push me into getting on the market before I was ready. My sale was actually not straight forward at all as I was buying a new build which came with a delayed completion date. Michael managed to find me a buyer that was happy to complete when I was ready to move which was going to take up to 6 months. (I can't imagine there are many people who buy a home and will be that patient). Once prices had been agreed, the exchange process began which had several bumps in the road (solicitors fault) all of which Michael and Jill stayed on top of to keep things moving. Jill kept me updated as much as humanly possible and if it had not been for her im not sure we would have exchanged on the day that we did. Overall I would absolutely recommend selling or buying with Barnard Marcus, they ticked all the boxes for me and charge reasonable fees based on other quotes I was provided.

She was instrumental in getting the sale and purchase across the line and we owe her a debt of gratitude!

We had a lot of bumps along the way (due to both our management company and our buyer's solicitor), but Craig went above and beyond to help get us across the line. Thoroughly recommend them.

26th Dec 2021 (2 years ago)Lovely hotel with a great room and comfy bed. Unfortunately the food was really unpleasant - and the service was some of the worst I’ve experienced. Shame as it has the potential to be a great place but sadly the restaurant is really atrocious. Eating there did ruin our evening as we spent so long waiting on every course - wouldn’t have minded enormously but the food was really terrible too when it did come. Would definitely stay in the hotel again but not go to the restaurant.
2nd Oct 2023 (6 mo. ago)I used Jackson-Stops to sell a flat in Oxted, on behalf of a relative. I was very impressed with their service, especially since this was the second agent I had tried. Stuart gave realistic advice about pricing, which led to an almost immediate offer, and Jenny was very persistent in dealing with various complications that arose during the sale process. Stuart and Jenny were both helpful, responsive and professional throughout. I strongly recommend Jackson-Stops.
