Last week I was searching for my first flat after graduating university and called chancellors for assistance, where I was put into contact with Elizabeth. She was more helpful that I could have ever expected, often going way beyond her duty to help me find a property. Several times she contacted me as soon as the office opened with updates on potential properties, allowing me to plan my days most effectively. Elizabeth also found additional properties that fit my specification and really put a remarkable amount of effort into securing viewings at properties. An all round excellent experience and a pleasure to work with, highly commended and recommended.
I just received a call from this agent but when I picked up the phone nobody answered, then the line went dead. Months ago, I have asked for my contact details to be removed from their database. Why are they still calling me??
Alllen & Harris sold my house in Blewbury and gave advice on my purchase in Oxford. I reckon that they saved me a lot of money for sticking out for a better sale price than I expected and advising on my onward purchase offer.

this agent has a property to let in abingdon,but has taken to turning around in my driveway when doing veiwings, no respect for peoples property ,so would you trust them to look after your property !!
Nick Wilder is hugely experienced & that rare beast: an agent who is realistic over values. Indeed, my solicitor rates him as amongst the very best agents in Oxfordshire. Everything was handled efficiently & courteously by all staff (particularly Rhianna) & they stuck to the task in a tricky market. I have nothing but praise for this agency. Well done: certainly earned your fee on my sale!
I have recently sold my house through Thomas Merrifield at Didcot and would like to say I received excellent service. The brochure they produced was very professional. Any problems I had were resolved as quickly as possible. The staff were always friendly and efficient. I would recommend Thomas Merrifield to anybody who is considering selling their property in the Didcot area.
I recently instructed Thomas Merrifield at Grove to handle the sale of my late Mother's house. Andy Gribben came and gave me a market appraisal and talked me through the marketing procedure. Within a matter of days all the measurements and photographs were taken and the sales particulars were produced. I was very pleased with the amount of viewings arranged and I was also impressed by the professionalism of the staff who accompanied the visitors. The staff always kept me informed regarding the outcome of all the viewings. Particular thanks goes to Rachel who went beyond the bounds of duty by letting me into the property when I had locked myself out on her weekend off! I will certainly use Thomas Merrifield again in the future as I will be selling my own house very soon.

Our house was arranged for a part-Ex through TM but as far as I am concerned I should still be treated like a client with the same standards.
The whole ordeal with TM has been terrible.
They do not vet any of the viewers, most people who came round either had no funds to buy the house, not sold their current house or could not commit to the moving date being so far in advance.
More then one occasion the agents were so late to the house that we were more then half way showing the people round. When they did finally show up we had to book in private extra viewings or answer extra questions as TM were unable to answer questions on the house or commit to more viewings.
The icing on the cake was the final viewing. They were late as usual and we were halfway through showing the people round. We advised the non apologetic agent that we would walk up the road then come back and to call us on my mobile when ready (Had this situation with Green & Co and they called and waited for 2 minutes just fine)
20 mins later we heard nothing so we walked back to the house to find the agent gone and ALL doors to the house unlocked with the viewers waiting outside saying they were waiting as the agent left it all unlocked. We were relieved to find these people were not the type to take advantage of the situation or any passer by for that matter!
We called to complain to the Wantage branch and the manager was less then helpful if not rude. We were very calm on the phone and stated the facts in order but we were cut off by him saying 'its not getting us anywhere'.
No apology so we advised we would talk to our developer to remove them, to which he replied 'We'll see' then hung up!
I will never be using TM and will be advising friends and family the same.
In my experience, estate agents fall into two groups. Some just go through the motions in the hope that things might happen one day. It tends not to, and you feel that you have wasted your time and money.
Then there are the experienced professionals who know what they are doing and how to get results. Kate responded quickly, kept the deal moving and anticipated problems. I cannot recommend Hamptons too highly.
I have just sold my Newbury flat through Deborah and her team at the Newbury office. Their support, advice and commitment to getting the sale over the line was truly impressive. They were an absolute joy to deal with. I can't recommend them highly enough.
If I could rate zero stars I would. I have recently had a terrible experience with Green and Co. Wantage and would seriously never wish to have anything to do with them again! As a buyer spending a significant amount of money on a property, I was treated appallingly! If it had not been for the fact that I absolutely love the property I have purchased through them, both Gemma and James would have put me off the sale along time ago. On several occasions I was on the receiving end of what I can only describe as bullying! Never before have I had to ask someone to stop being so rude to me over the phone (as I did with Gemma when she hung up on me!) Due to having to sell my property in order to purchase my next (standard chain scenario) I was telephoned for updates by these guys almost constantly who became really quite angry with me! The whole experience was dreadful. There is a lot more I could say about their unprofessionalism but the main point here is avoid dealing with these people if you don't want to be treated like dirt!
