Recently completed a buy to let purchase in Camden with Mark’s help.
Unfortunately most estate agents are pushy, impatient and borderline harassing, but Mark is definitely an exception.
He was very communicative, patient and understanding, always polite on communications and very helpful with gathering any information we needed, liaising well with the vendor and the solicitors involved. Even the after sale customer service has been great!

i don’t understand how this agency has any positive reviews. i had a terrible experience throughout my tenancy with them. see attached photos for an email chain regarding the time their “manager” (bilat) verbally abused me over the phone when i asked the agency to fix our lock to the garden after we received a letter from the police telling us to be vigilant because a burglary had happened on our road. i hope allen goldstein did the right thing and fired this horrible man
edited to respond: as you can read in my review, my critique was not on how long it took to complete this repair - even though it wasn’t completed in a timely manner, nor was anything we reported during our tenancy (even requests we had made before we moved in were not fixed for months, causing injury to tenants) - but on how i was spoken to by the “manager”, which happened more than once. i would’ve followed your complaints procedure but found it convoluted (it required posting a letter to the firm?) and had just suffered a bereavement at the time so did not want to deal with an investigation into your manager verbally abusing me, instead i sent an email to complain which was ignored
to add that i went through a deposit dispute with AG after they tried to fraudulently take £2,250 from our deposit, which, after disputing with mydeposits, was reduced to £800 - which is still ridiculous considering we left the property much better than we found it

Terrible agency. Stay away. They let out a flat where the boiler wasn't working from day one of the tenancy. When a call out was made at the weekend on Saturday I was told that it was not an emergency and not having ANY heating/ hot water during Winter with a 3 year old living in the house didn't classify as an emergency so the contractor would only be sent on the Monday, which they then did.

So far pleasant experience getting touch with AG,
I was searching on property within the same area that I've lived for a year before seeing a 2b2b flat managed by AG. Mark, our connected agent, was fantastic on getting touch with us and sort out the entire procedures from viewing, applications, contract and property delivery with efficiency and great manner.
I mean it's pleasant experience so far, we've been moved in for 2 weeks till now. There was small things that could be improved but it's rarely seeing a agency that doesn't do severe overpricing and hunger marketing in London, which is just impressing to me these days.

The staff at Allen Goldstein especially Shyrelle, was remarkable in supporting us throughout, even till today they are assisting us with doubts which I find is amazing for what they do. Update - we won our dispute with Allen Goldstein via the deposits company, with them returning 100% of our money back. Allen Goldstein will remain the worst letting agent I have used - EVER.

Very sad that after returning the house to a better state of cleanliness then we moved in, to be now charged nearly £200 cleaning fees for leaving the oven in the same standard as when we moved in is ridiculous. Especially as they are choosing to disregard their inventory - we also have had to chase Bodrul every time for a response. Until this incident, Shyrelle has gone above and beyond to help us. This comes as no surprise as they informed us the landlord would fix the broken back door leading into a dark alley and fix a mould issue that occured before we moved in- this never happened. This whole issue was been so stressful I would advise everyone to stay away from this company.

Money Thief. They made us moving in a flat that was totally uncleaned, a microwave in a horrendous condition, two fridges not working and the landlord not willing to change any of these. Let’s not talk about the amount of mould in the bathroom and one of the rooms that we had to clean by ourselves since they were not willing to clean it either. Thought it was a joke but it was not, we have cleaned the entire house perfectly and the agency has decided to charge us £160 to clean the oven that we left in the same state we found it . Please avoid them.

The team at Allen Goldstein has been a great help with moving into our current apartment. The process from viewing to moving in was very smooth. In particular, Mark, has been wonderful, right from supporting us to do a remote viewing, to answering all our questions, liaising with the landlord and ensuring that our move was smooth.
There were unfortunately some teething issues with the property as the building was newly constructed, but the maintenance team at Allen Goldstein were very quick at contacting the builders and getting it quickly looked at. We are awaiting some fixes, but all in all the team has been responsive and did their best at supporting us as tenants in the property.
Will definitely recommend working with the team at AG.

I have dealt with a number of estate agents in London and I was pleasantly surprised to have come across Allen Goldstein when searching for rented apartments for my sister. Very approachable and professional agent (Hue Kabir) to start with which made the experience a pleasant one. Open and clear communication throughout the process which was great to manage expectations. Hue, sticking to his word of mouth promises and commitment throughout is a differentiator, which is a rare thing to find in the estate agency. Finally, I can't thank Marzana enough from the Admin team. She is brilliant and a thorough professional who was on top of any flat related queries/issues which gives a lot of comfort to the tenants that there is someone to help and support them. Mark and Gemma were very responsive and helpful throughout the entire application for tenancy process. This was particularly useful for us as we were not in London at the time. Mark assisted in obtaining a video recording of the house from the previous tenants, and followed up promptly with our queries and requests.
Signing and reviewing of legal documents were handled seamlessly through web-based applications.
Tenancy agreement was drafted with standard boilerplate clauses. On our request to review the wording of some clauses, the team was open to discussing it with the Landlord and helping to reach a suitable outcome for all.
Overall, a pleasant working experience with the team from Allen Goldstein.

Where do I start?! Awful service from the get go. Inquired about a flat in Camden and had Hue get back to me with all the usual jibber jabber. I asked if there was any negotiating on the price and what the estimated bills were for the property. Hue then gave me an estimation of the bills and asked me to make an offer, which I did. Immediately phoned me and told me he was very confident that he could get the landlord to agree to this. A holding deposit is required so I wanted to view the flat before handing over any money, which wasn't a problem. Viewed the flat and paid the holding deposit then the negotiating began. Hue phoned me and told me the landlord wasn't prepared to drop to my asking price and counter offered it which I then offered a little lower again until we met half way and apparently had both agreed on a price. Didn't hear anything further that night so messaged Hue the next morning to see where we were at. He told me the landlord had changed his mind and wanted more money. Found this really weird as an offer was made to me and I accepted it. I felt something was up at this stage and that I wasn't getting all the information. After much thought I decided to agree to the price as I really liked the flat and was getting closer to the end of my current tenancy. I then asked for a more accurate estimation of the bills and it was almost double of what I was first told. Alarm bells are really ringing at this stage but unfortunately I was desperate to find somewhere so continued negotiations. I then had to ring Hue in the morning to see where things were at as the communication wasn't great. He told me he had passed my details on to the company's admin team and that they would be sending a reservation form through to me to fill out and send back. Didn't hear anything all day so messaged Hue again and he replied saying he had passed my details to the admin team just before he left the office but it may have been taking a while because they were short staffed which wouldn't have been a problem but his stories just didn't add up. I also asked if the landlord had definitely agreed to the latest offer in which he replied yes. During all this he said a couple of times that landlords are really hard to deal with because of the 'current situation i.e the pandemic. But this really felt like he was palming the blame off on them and preparing me for more bad news. Due to the uncertainty I was still searching on spareroom as I was not confident in the deal going through and low and behold I come across the room we had been negotiating for a lower price than the initial asking price but higher than the agreement we had made. I thought this was really weird? Almost like he was trying to see if he could get one last bite from someone before he gave it to me for most likely less commission. After sleeping on it I messaged Hue explaining I felt the situation had been handled really badly from the start and I didn't wish to proceed and could I get my deposit back. He then replied saying he could get the deal done today and I could be moving in tomorrow. I replied asking could he guarantee this? No reply. Phoned him but no answer. He then messaged saying he was driving and that he'd phone me back. No phone call. Had to message him again which he replied saying that he was no longer working with the landlord as he was confused and kept changing his mind. Told me he had returned my deposit but I didn't even have the energy to respond at this stage and just wanted it to be over. He then messaged me several hours later asking for my full name so he could send my deposit back? The gift that keeps on giving! All I've seen on this page is good positive reviews about the company and staff so I just don't realise why I was treated the way I was.

So far I’ve had a terrible initial experience as a tenant with this letting agency. They sent a lovely agent to help us during the viewing, and he overpromised many things about the property which gave us a false sense of security, but as soon as we’d paid our deposit, staff no longer cared to help us with anything and refused to sort out multiple problems that had been previously promised would be done; including ones which caused health hazards and danger to us, causing multiple tenants to injure themselves. It was agreed in the offer AND interview that we would have the house professionally cleaned and multiple elements fixed before our move-in day, but none of this was completed (they’re in breach of contract already!), and after living here for three weeks so far and chasing up Allen Goldstein about multiple different problems extremely often, there are still lots of issues that have not been sorted (even ones which should’ve been fixed before we moved in, because who wants to move into a broken, dirty house with unwashed walls/upholstery/bedding after the pandemic?).
Any request we HAVE had fulfilled by Allen Goldstein has been fulfilled to the lowest possible standards, such as providing us with cheap wardrobes that have exposed, sharp chipboard edges which injured multiple of our tenants. I hope during the rest of our tenancy they can fix this and impress us and I will alter this review if so, but so far I’m pretty appalled.

On behalf of my housemates, we found Allen Goldstein easy to contact, quick to reply and on top of contacting us when we were house hunting. We informed them that it was our first time house hunting and Daniella especially explained the whole process of renting well and reassured us we could contact her whenever a question arose. The house itself needed new carpets and Daniella did enquire and got us brand new ones which we were very pleased with. Specific things such as the electrics were not followed up however we managed to sort that out ourselves as well as professional cleaning not being thorough (we deep cleaned the house after moving in) . Overall, we found Allen Goldstein a great company especially if you are a student or a first time buyer as they help you through the whole process.

I signed onto an 8-month tenancy, only to move into a room and flat ridden with maintenance issues. The agency's complaints procedure (managed by Ben Adams) does not protect tenants at all, to make things worse. For example, before I moved in the agency did not even check the room's condition, as a result of which I moved into a room with a broken bed frame (which would collapse under me in the middle of the night), 3 broken window blinds, a broken desk, and very dirty surfaces everywhere. Subsequent additional issues were so bad I developed anxiety and insomnia. Issues include countless plumbing issues, moss growing across my bedroom wall, three broken blinds facing onto brightly lit windows, fire alarms which would go off in the middle of the night and each time anyone cooked or showered, several mouse infestations, a broken desk, a faulty toilet, missing/broken front door lock, etc. The plumbers they sent to the flat over three to four times over one week left the flat in a muddy and dire state every time, without repairing anything. By the 5th month of stay, I could not take it anymore and decided to move out.
I also submitted a complaint form listing all the maintenance issues with comprehensive supporting evidence of each. The agency took over 3 weeks to 'consider' my complaint form. The outcome was basically that the agency discarded all my complaints without taking any responsibility. They *acknowledged all the maintenance issues I listed* but took zero responsibility for any of them, even though my contract was with the agency. They were rude when I called them and their response to my complaint form was that they dealt with the maintenance issues promptly. They didn't bother to objectively evaluate the issues I listed by claiming that they asked my flatmates whether they were affected by all the issues, some of which were only in my room. (One of the worst maintenance issue occurred during one of my flatmate's 3-week absence from the flat.) *Yet they recognised all the issues, which is self-contradictory, and suggests the agency's dishonesty and insensitivity.* I informed them of all the issues throughout my tenancy and they were documented by both sides. Since I moved out of this accommodation (and into average accommodation) I feel as though I am on holiday. The complaints handler at the agency, Ben Adams, avoided my phone calls and accused me of asking him 'pressuring questions' when I finally got him on the phone for the first time, three weeks after I sent in my complaint form. He told me he wouldn't talk to me, and avoided answering any of my questions. The agency also did not acknowledge my countless email and phone confirmations that I had moved out over several weeks. Instead, they waited until three weeks later to tell me that I had not followed the agency's particular procedures for terminating a contract, and they only did so after I called them. They never apologised or took any responsibility for the maintenance issues and the condition of the flat. That is the least I would expect from a halfway decent estate agency. The only way forward seems to be by sending my complaint form to the Property Ombudsman.

This Agency is very reliable, especially when you are a newcomer in the country and you have difficulties to trust agencies with the required deposit.
The agent we worked with is Fatih Cetin. Even though he is young, he is very knowledgeable in what he is doing and he never ignores a phone call or text. He makes his clients feel like a priority.
I would recommend Allen Goldstein to anyone with no doubt.

Having just moved to London from New Zealand we had only heard horror stories about trying to find a flat to rent. We were expecting it to take at least a month, with lots of disappointment, but thanks to Chris Chinedu at Allen Goldstein, we secured the very first flat we went to view! Chris explained the process well and gave us lots of good tips for flat hunting (not that we needed it). Chris kept us up to date throughout the process and was really helpful with trying to get the right documentation and references sorted for us. The agreements and paperwork have all been really professional and we can’t wait to move in. We definitely recommend this agency and Chris!

We started using Allen Goldstein because we bought our property from them, their rates were competitive and there was high footfall in their office (when on Camden High Street). We weren't convinced of the service until Ben and Rofiqul took over our account. They have helped us with their professional insight in managing different issues with the tenants and changes in the market. Have gone to visit the property for regularly organise inspections and managed tradesmen appointments while we work.
They are no longer on the high street but we're still able to secure tenants. I hope the service level continues.

I rented a property with this agency from 2013 to 2016 when they were still located in Camden High Street and then moved to 104 Cromer St.
The yearly renewal fees are very expensive (a week of rent). Our latest one end of 2016 was even £426!!
And that doesn't mean they are professional or competent. (we had lots of problems during these 3 years)
Our landlord transferred the building management to another agency. The new agency doesn't charge for renewing contracts (£850 saved already!) and the communications are much more cordial and professional.
Most of the staff I was dealing with has left Allen Goldstein so maybe it is different now?? or maybe not...
Avoid them, there are better agencies out there.

My friends and I were rushing to find appropriate accommodation for our next year at university when we came across this estate agent. The proceedings were quite quick and deadlines were adjusted when needed, there was a lot of leniency. However, there were some issues with getting floor plans and amended contracts but it was successful in the end and we have now secured a place for our second year. Be aware that this company was involved in a franchise with a fraudulent business named as Allen Goldstein Camden.
"After paying the house first month rent, deposit and agency fees we discovered that the house landlord was not informed by the agency of anything. Long story short, we were kicked out from the house and the estate agency Allen Goldstein Camden kept all our money. Even after a court case and judge decision for a reimbursement, we still did not get our money back after almost 2 years. An investigation is ongoing on the fraudulent activities of the company Allen Goldstein Camden that was before in franchise with Allen Goldstein Limited."
Before signing a contract be well aware of who are the signatories. For us it was and still is a nightmare.

Overall experience with these agents was really good. They were efficient in chasing queries, relaying between the landlord etc and generally just being really attentive throughout the whole process. The level of communication & assurance they provided was a highly significant help and support, ensuring every request, query, detail, or terms were all accounted for - no matter how small, they actively encouraged things were always worth the ask/being put forward.
In the latter phase of reviewing contracts and making arrangements for the moving date, the agent again couldn't have been more helpful & went above and beyond to be flexible to best suit us and make the transition of things as easy as possible.

Everything went through quick and clean when i signed my contract, and I wasn't messed about. Daniella, who was my contact during my tenancy, was very helpful and responded to all questions and queries very quickly, once even when I sent my email late at night! There were some issues with the property during my tenancy but these were attended to promptly, often same or next-day. I personally have had no issues with them and they even helped me in my tenancy reference request in minutes.

Do not go here. Once u sign the contract they don't treat you as a cutsomer. Could never get any helpful information from the agent after signing the contract, very slow response, always evading and telling that they can t help you. But, if they needed something, they will literally bomb you with emails. This is not the right way to do service. If u are a student from UCL, they were on the black list of the UCL accommodation so the university refused to be the guarantor. I guess now I know why they were on the black list two years ago.

Chris did his research and took the stress out of looking for a property at a time in which I was under a lot of pressure. He took his time to show me around various properties and showed a genuine interest, taking into consideration all the factorsame that I was looking for in a new home as well as the location. It's only my personal experience.
There is a document I needed to fill in order to renew my contract. I have called three times, every time they said they would send it through email but they never did.
It's been over a week now and I have received nothing. What a bunch of inefficient staff.

I can safely say that they were very helpful and provided a very good level of service.
I would strongly recommend Allen Goldstein to any future potential tenant who is actively looking for a rental property.
P.S. I wouldnt take notice of any of the negative reviews you currently have seen or read about Allen Goldstein, they are all bogus provided by the company next door to them, Victorstone. - Just a heads up as I viewed properties through them and overhead Fokrul Islam (the managing director of Victorstone) to tell his staff to write fake reviews about Allen Goldstein.

This agent is a disgrace. They produced 2 tenancy agreements by telling me I was getting £3380 byt in actual cact the tenanst had a contract saying 3250. Failed to protect the deposit and have retained the deposit refusing t release it. I am still owed 4 months rent. I have been informed that the Director Bilat Shaista has a freeezeing order and another cureently on assault charges. (please check companies house)
Not to metnion they do not have planning permission as they have only submitted an application on the 3rd of Decemeber having been trading since feb 2012. (please check camden website)
If you are a londlord get your deposit off of them and tenants pay your lanldord direct! they do not make enough money to sustain them selves and are using your money for the up keep of ther business.
