Outstanding service from Skippers Cheriton on our recent house purchase. We had sold our previous house and only had four weeks before completion, but still had not found a place to move to... Skippers had a property we liked and really came through to make it happen. Crucially they proposed a solicitor to us who they knew worked well with their client's solicitor and all the conveyancing went super smoothly. From agreeing the deal to moving in: four weeks... Since the initial viewing of the property, completing forms, documents and getting the keys the communication from the team has been brilliant. They have been prompt in their replies, always friendly both in emails and phone calls and reassuring to any queries I have had. Lashiya has been brilliant at communicating clearly and helping me to understand the processes involved, as well as Amy for initially showing me the property and Elli for communication regarding an electrical issue. Within a couple of days everything has been resolved and as a first time tenant I feel supported and listened to during this step of independence. Thankyou all.

Skippers was recommended by a family friend and I would recommend them if you are serious about selling your home. Professional from the outset with an honest valuation with a full explanation as to how they had arrived at the value and without an over inflated impossible to reach price, they really do understand the market.
Our house was sold within three weeks of going on the market and we only had three viewings, all handled by the agents. Expert negotiations enabled a sensible price to be obtained that we were really happy with and not far off our expected selling price.
The real asset was in the way they guided the other professionals involved with the buying and selling process to ensure the sale was concluded in a timely manner. It is no exaggeration that the completion date would not have been achieved without the personal intervention of the Director of Sales who saw the potential of our purchase and sale to go horribly wrong. With the onset of the Christmas rush and the non-availability of the removal company to get us another slot if the completion date was missed, he really stepped up and ensured the completion date was only one day late!
I well remember my comments to my wife on our last move nearly thirty years ago, never again I said! Well, after my experience this time around with Skippers on my side I'd happily do it again!
Thank you to all the Staff at Skippers for such a Professional, friendly and efficient service. If you really want to sell your house, these are the People who will achieve that for you.

We recently engaged Skippers to sell a property and from the moment that Matt took our initial instructions, we knew that we were in safe hands thanks to his friendly and down to earth approach. As the marketing of the property commenced, we soon learnt that the whole Skippers team share Matt's ethos.
Dannie and Oliver were great, undertaking the viewings, fielding enquiries and kindly taking meter readings at the property too.
Special mention for Harry who was an absolute star as the sale progressed. He acted with professional integrity throughout the transaction, providing invaluable guidance and support when necessary, and he always ensured that all parties were represented fairly. Harry was very responsive and always available at the end of the telephone, which was important to us as we do not live locally & we were selling the property at a distance. In addition to contacting us during office hours, Harry also corresponded during evenings and weekends, even speaking to us whilst he was out of the country on annual leave. Harry consistently went above and beyond. The level of service that we received was exceptional and we really couldn't ask for more.
I should add that our property was not at the premium end of the market - it was a standard property - and therefore the commission at stake was not huge. Yet, we received the same exceptional attention and client care that you might expect when selling a high-end house.
The helpful approach of the Skippers team made selling a property from a long distance easier than it might otherwise have been and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Terrible experience having to deal with Harry at Skippers Estate Agents.
Harry was the representative for a vendor in the chain I was involved with. All the other estate agents in the chain tried ringing Harry multiple times, yet he was never available. Messages were left, calls were never returned.
I personally tried contacting Harry multiple times and had the same experience.
Been a nightmare experience dealing with Harry and Skippers Estate Agents, especially under the circumstances where multiple vendors in the chain rallied together and gifted a considerate amount of money to complete the chain.
Avoid using Skippers Estate Agents, or buying/selling with another vendor who is represented by Skippers Estate Agents.

My mum and myself drove 50 minutes to go an view a property with this company, we got an email 3 days before to say the booking was confirmed, on the day of viewing we received another email letting us know that the booking is scheduled for the allotted time, then 45 minutes before our viewing they cancelled!!! We was in the area!! Haven’t even had an email or anything with an apology. Just wondering how you can cancel so close. Terrible service.

My partner and I made several attempts to view properties through this estate agent, and each time, they failed to acknowledge the email.
We then called their office and messaged them on their live online system to remind them that we had contacted them to make viewings. After informing us they’d be in contact, they failed to do so.
I can only conclude the following:
1. The company is severely understaffed.
2. They are not interested in first-time buyers.
3. My partner is Asian, so they may be racist.
We saw our dream house, and after persistently contacting them, we finally got an appointment to view it. We were eager, so we made an offer to snatch it up because our friend had a similar house and knew what to expect. We did not receive a follow-up saying they had received the offer.
A week later we received a call, saying the viewing had been cancelled.
Extremely unprofessional company. I strongly believe their Google reviews are fake because there’s no way a company like this should have a 4.8 rating!!!

Having lived in our village for over five years now, a job change saw our family moving across the country. We hired Andrew & Co. Ashford, to handle our home sale after having interviewed a few other agents around Ashford.
I was immediately impressed with Harry's knowledge of homes in general and in our local area. Harry was able to navigate us through the challenging sale of our Grade II listed, bespoke cottage. He took the time to understand our home and was always considerate of our schedules. He never wavered and kept an upbeat but realistic view in the current market conditions. We had a large number of viewings which Harry handled himself, always professional and on time, all with his familiar cheerful demeanour.
These days it is rare to find someone who is true to their word. Harry did everything he said he would do throughout the entire sale process and never let us down. Harry Best at Andrew and Co was exceptional throughout my purchase process. I was impressed by his comprehensive knowledge of the house, attention to detail and amazing customer relations and communication style. Nothing was too much trouble.The level of care is so rare. It was the exact opposite of the estate agent managing my sale. I don't think I would have made it over the finish line if it wasn't for his bright beacon of humanity in an otherwise ugly process. I was surprised too by his welcome at the house on the day I moved in, the tour of everything and providing meter readings etc. If I need to move again he would be my first call.

We have had the pleasure of using Andrew's in the last 2 years to purchase a property and sell 2 others and each time we have been grateful that we chose to use them.
All staff were polite, friendly and well informed both in relation to the housing market and our individual properties. If unable to speak to the member of staff who we usually dealt with, others were always able to help or pass messages on and get back to us quickly with an answer.
We had already moved out of our last property before it sold and Andrew's were very helpful in looking after the house, notifying us of any issues and assisting in any way they could.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them again and have had friends use them off the back of our experience who have also been very pleased with the service they offer.

Matthew Howes made me wait 30 mins outside the property I was meant to view then claimed that he was sitting outside for 20 minutes and no one was there.. I rang the office at 4:53 to make sure his coming and they apologised and said “his running 5 minutes late because of traffic” I waited until 5:20 and no one showed up so I called the office again and Matthew was on the phone this time and that’s when he made the claim for “waiting for me for 20 minutes” even tho I was sitting outside and NO ONE showed up.. I asked why couldn’t he call me because every other landlords calls me to say their either there or their coming and he said his back in the office now.. (completely ignored my question) the property is 30 seconds walk away from the office! So I asked “is your office far from here?” And he said “it’s too late as his packing up”… absolutely joke.. I lost 30 minutes of work so I could get there early so I don’t make him wait just so he can long me off.. 10000% he never bothered showing up.. and I had a viewing at 5:30 in Kennington which he made me lose that also.. ????

We used Andrew & Co to sell our home and highly recommend them. We were very impressed with Gemma who did the valuation and photos. Her experience and local knowledge was very helpful. There was no hard sell and after getting valuations from several local estate agents, Andrew & Co were an obvious choice. The sales team managed a number of viewings for us and they were friendly and easy to deal with. When there was a total lack of progress from our buyers they swiftly put the house back on the market and found another buyer. In the end our sales process was almost a year in duration but this was due to issues at either end of the chain, and outside our control. With our difficult chain it was really key that our agent was efficient at chasing and progressing all the various parties. This was done expertly by Harry. He worked very closely with our solicitors and those for our buyers. Despite all the setbacks, Harry kept nudging people along and keeping us updated. He responded quickly to our queries (often out of business hours), offered sound advice, was very knowledgeable and was a pleasure to deal with. We have moved enough times to know that your estate agents can make all the difference in a successful move or an expensive failure. In our experience all the tream were approachable, professional and would use again, although this is not likely as now we have moved out of the area!

From the very beginning at the point of discussing about putting our property on the market for sale, right through to the point of completion, the level of care and support has been extremely high. We have been kept informed through out the sale process and nothing has been too much of a problem.
We particularity want to say a special 'Thank You' to Roni who has just been brilliant throughout. When things were looking a little shaky in the first few weeks of our sale, she literally took the 'bull by the horns' and sorted everything out for us. Excellent service, they knew the market and how to promote maximum interest and handled multiple viewings over three says, shortlisting the offers made and explaining my options to get the best buyer and payment. Emma in the lettings department is very friendly, professional and most of all efficient! After reporting a problem at 9am with a kitchen door lock jamming which resulted in us unable to open the door, we needed to go out the front door round to the back of our house to get into the kitchen. Not an ideal situation just to get a morning coffee, however within half an hour of reporting the problem a locksmith had called to confirm he would be with us that morning to fix. The locksmith arrived earlier than advised and fixed the door handle mechanism quickly. Highly recommend the lettings team! Thankfully we don't have many problems, but its very reassuring to know that if we do its dealt with promptly.

Having recently sold and bought through Andrew and co we thought we'd share our experience.
We sold through the Ashford branch and had an excellent service. Paul was happy to listen to what we thought our house was worth and encouraging in our expectations. Charlie in particular was a great help in reaching our goal and was worth her weight in gold. Always there and even communicating with us late on a Saturday night.
We bought through the New Romney branch and again had an excellent service. Mark was also a great help evening going above and beyond long after the sale had gone through. A credit to the company.
All in all a great company to sell or buy with.
