Not helpful. Do not take housing benefit for private renting. Unfortunately when I phoned the letting department they informed me that Ashtons do not except people on housing benefit. I have the phone conversation recorded. If you are saying you except people on housing benefit then may I suggest that A) you stick to that rule when people like myself who are claiming through no fault of mine ask for help and B) look at retraining your staff to give the right information to potential customers. I am a extremely good tenant, my landlord of 6 years will verify that, I have never been in arrears EVER, and I have been paying an extra £100 a month on top of housing benefit because my DHP doesn't cover my full rent. My rent in Oxford for 3 bedroom is £1400 a month. There is an important reason I need to move and that's so my 3 boys one disabled can be near their mum, my wife, so we can start to rebuild my family and be all together one day again because of the damage and lies from social services who illegally removed my 5 young boys 4 years ago under false accusations and in 2018 we successfully won the right for them to be returned to our care and ordered to sue for damages against the LA. When you are told sorry we don't take people on HB it's like you are saying he's never worked,always been on benefits lazy sod. You don't know my background so my review was based on your staffs attitude because I was on benefits and my experience. Try getting to know your customers because we weren't all born with a silver spoon in our mouths. Regards

Bought my first home through Ashtons. Great service (especially from Leanne), no time wasting and no lies which is a rarity when it comes to estate agents. Very accommodating with viewing times, even when I got the houses mixed up and turned up at the wrong address! Leanne was also very helpful dealing with solicitors. Ashtons manage a flat rental above my property that leaked into the property on Sat 11th Jan with water coming through the light fitting in the bathroom area. This meant for safety reasons the electricity was turned off in the property, the issue was reported to Ashtons on the Monday 13th January to sort out but they did nothing until sending an electrician on Thursday to switch on the power and check that it was safe. After their rented property above being the source of the leak. However, the leak has caused extensive damage to my property causing mould to appear and the wood flooring to come away from the walls due to the continual leak that was started on Sat 11th Jan but only stopped 3 days later by their maintenance team. I've been calling them every day to request that Ashtons Lettings who manage the property above pay for the damage and bill their client 'landlord' or ask the 'landlord' to pay. They don't do anything and after 10 days of continually contacting them via email and calling them, Ashtons have declined to fix saying they are unable to contact the Landlord? If they manage the property surely they can pay for the damage and then bill the 'landlord' their client. That's why landlords seek the service of a letting agent like 'Ashtons' to manage their property. I now have to claim on my own insurance and pay the £250 excess. Even when I asked Ashtons to pay the £250 excess or ask the owner of the apartment above a private landlord they represent to pay the excess they have declined. Please see the images above. Also I forgot to mention a leak also occurred from the flat above on the 17th December causing damage to my property (lounge area / kitchen) below they have also declined to fix or repair this as well. I would recommend avoiding this property letting company and using another provide in the Warrington area. They are also clueless with their property manager saying the mould had not been caused by the leak so I resent them the images from the 11th January originally emailed across and pictures taken a week later displaying mould! I wouldn't want this company managing and looking after my property. Every time you call them they can never get hold of the owner 'landlord' for a decision - yet has the landlord empowered them by using their management services to 'manage' the property on their behalf and make decisions. Also, if the landlord can't be contacted how do they deal with emergencies if they can't take decisions?

This is NOT a professional they are NOT a responsible letting agent - avoid at all costs - 1 star is too much had to click so I could post they deserve ZERO Stars - POOR SERVICE!

Well what can I say....simply one of the best estate agents I have ever dealt with!! Having met two super knowledgable ladies, Sophie and Leanne, and after a particularly drawn out sale of a house, that fell though twice, we competed on third offer. Professional through out and knowing the market in the area and the fluctuations in these uncertain times, I had full trust in them and the service. Nothing was too much trouble and I have no hesitations in highly recommending Leanne, Sophie and Ashtons at warrington!! Worth every penny :0)

Ashton's were, by far the most efficient, and the best prepared. Stacey was the ONLY estate agent who arrived on time.
