We successfully sold our house in Balsall Common via Atkinson Stilgoe in October.
It was a long and sometimes difficult process mainly due to 2 selling chains collapsing near to exchange,no fault of Atkinson Stilgoe.
On all 3 occasions that we sold STC,the buyers made an offer soon after our house went on the market and Shauna and colleagues were helpful in communicating with others involved in the chain.The web listing and video were outstanding.
We are very thankful for their support and positivity during our roller-coaster experience.

Excellent… there’s no other way to put our experience with these guys. We were looking to purchase and they were the only estate agent in the area that actually phoned and talked to us rather than just putting you on an email list and sending you everything that came up. They suggested properties and worked with us to get ones that suited our requirements. Unfortunately the property we purchased was through somebody else, but I would not hesitate to recommend them. Atkinson satilgoe have been amazing to us!
We needed to move from 1 property to another pretty quick, and Ben made that happen. They are very efficient and quick to get us into the new property within 2 weeks all checks and paper work was done within a couple of weeks communication is great.
They also gave us a moving in gift whitch is a very nice touch.
I would highly recommend Atkinson stilgoe in balsall common.

Myself and my husband viewed a property to rent on the 9th March, as we're relocating from another part of the country. Ben was very professional and incredibly friendly. He answered all our questions and most importantly he let us take our time viewing as he recognised we needed that.
Unfortunately although it was a lovely house, it wasn't in the right area for us. However, after such a positive experience during such a stressful time, Atkinson Stilgoe is definitely our preferred letting agency in our ongoing search for a house.

Staff are friendly and easy to communicate, but still feel very disappointed about their service. They are not professinal. I recently completed a property purchase through Atkinson. A week before completion, a lady from Atkinson and I identified issues with the boiler and tank, which were promised to be repaired and the fee will be covered by the seller. However, post-completion, this commitment was unfulfilled, leaving me with unexpected expenses.
To add to the frustration, I was given only one front door key, and the rest were missing. It's clear that the estate agent overlooked checking the keys thoroughly before handover, reflecting a lack of professionalism in their services.

Moved to Balsall Common from the South West of England. Had a very comfortable purchase in Balsall thanks to Atkinson Stilgoe (AS) despite a difficult sale in the South West. Both happened simultaneously and I appreciated very much the help I got from AS even to sort out the problems I was having with my sale back in the South West in order to get the contract exchange over the line. AS were very patient and understanding of the difficulties that were out of my control with regard to my sale in the South West and worked with me and three sets of solicitors to get them resolved. I'm not one who normally drops reviews online but the service I got from the lettings team was really amazing and I just have to talk about it. Lianne was very friendly during the viewing and she took her time to explain whatever question I might have and she also gave me a proper rundown on the apartment and the entire renting process.
After submitting an offer, I was in contact with Matthew and he's one of the most pleasant, nice, and friendly gentleman I've ever dealt with. I have never heard anyone speak so rude and unprofessional given the role they have - very poor customer service! We are buyers who are showing very strong interest, and need more clarity in the homes for sale... only to have one of your staff speak so bluntly and rude, rather than apologizing for their mistake and misunderstanding. It's actually very sad... a beautiful home that we as a family want to move in to, and are now left feeling reluctant to pick up the phone.
Who ever the director is of divisional area - Coventry needs to review their staff's behavior and communication with potential buyers.

She quickly arranged for us to view the property answering all of questions and when we made the decisiont o proceed there and then she was so accomodating and allowed us to take our application and ID over to the office straight away.
All communication with Emily was brilliant, she responded to my emails quickly and kept us updated on the progress of our application throughout.
What should have been a very stressful few weeks was actually calm and easy due to her professionlism and attention to detail.

We had been looking for a number of weeks and had contacted agents about a number of properties often never recieving a reply. Matthew listened to our situation and provided helpful advice and suggested a few properties that might have suited us. We recently moved home with Atkinson Stilgoe where Emily was our agent.
Emily managed to book us in to the chosen properties that we wanted to view very quickly and on the only day that we were available. She ensured that when we visited the properties all COVID regulations and measures were followed and therefore we felt safe throughout. We had never rented before and did not know much about it, Emily gave us all of the information we needed and more. I communicated with Emily mainly on email and every email was responded to in a timely, polite and an informative manner. We feel that Emily made the process very easy and quick as our move date was only 1 week after our application. If Emily was ever out of the office, she made sure I had contact details for her colleagues so that they could answer any questions / queries that we may have had. Since moving in to the property Emily has set up our contents insurance, answered further questions about the appliances etc, again all very quickly and confidently. We had been looking at various properties and dealing with a number of different agents over the space of a couple of months and received terrible service and responses throughout. We were close to giving up after being let down several times.
Then the lettings team from Atkinson Stilgoe contacted us and gave us a completely different opinion on agents.
From the first call from Sharon, they were 100% on the ball and were keen to work at a similar pace to what we were hoping for.
Matthew took over from there and we were viewing the property within an hour of first contact.
From that point it took a mere 2 days to get contracts and all other required paperwork done and complete! (Something that had taken other agents 2 weeks to manage)
Emily was also prompt and professional and nothing seemed to much effort to these guys.

I am a first time buyer buying an apartment through Atkinson Stilgoe. I can not believe how helpful all of the girls there have been and guided me and my partner throughout the whole process.
Leanne the mortgage advisor is a life saver!! I couldn't lend through my own bank and other high-street banks were taking weeks to get me an appointment but Leanne saw me within 24 hours and got everything sorted out for me. She advised me of things I didn't even think about that the bank didn't tell me either, such as a will and life insurance. I learnt so much from Leanne as a first time buyer I would recommend her to anyone.
Anita and Rosemary have both kept me updated throughout the whole process of buying, answered all my questions and guided me through the whole legal process.

We didn't have a good experience when buying a house through Atkinson Stilgoe. They used to constantly bombard us with phone calls about getting things done which were out of our control - both me and my partner work and can't easily take phone calls during the day so it was frustrating to always see missed calls from them and voice messages basically stating something that we didn't even need to know or that wasn't relevant - they certainly wasted our time a lot. They also added much stress to what is already a stressful situation and kept threatening that the sale wouldn't complete when things were out of our hands and being dealt with by our lawyers - there was absolutely no need to make things so difficult for us. There favourite trick is to advertise a property as having 'no chain' but basically ask the sellers if they would move out and rent if need be, but if you agree to this, then get this in writing as you never know when the sellers need change... but of course Atkinson Stilgoe wouldn't care about this because they've pulled you in by this point! I couldn't recommend Anita for these reasons stated above and would certainly be looking for a different estate agent to go with when we sell our house in the future.

I've used Atkinson Stilgoe for buying, letting and selling a property and had some very positive experiences and one very bad one.
I recommend using someone else if you're thinking of selling a property. They're very expensive (cost me just under £4k to sell a £125k property). Considering that fee, Atkinson Stilgoe certainly didn't look after my interests. They encouraged me to agree to a sale to one of their investment purchasers and from agreeing that sale they ceased working for me and were only interested in the buyer's interests. It took over 4 months to complete on a no chain sale. They went so far as to start advertising my property for let before I'd sold it. I can see why they did it - two commisions for them - but an estate agent should be acting for the seller, no one else and Atkinson Stigoe do not offer value for money on that front.
Buying a property was fine and I can't praise their lettings department highly enough! (I asked them to let my house on a Tuesday and they'd found me tenants by the Friday)
